The following photos are my own, which I took in 2013 in walks I took here in Montreal. You can click on each photo to see a larger view.
This last photo is one I took just a week or so ago with my cellphone. It is a tree with beautiful yellow flowers. I am a bit disappointed that this photo doesn't show the real beautiful and lovely yellow colours, but since I am still practicing with taking photos with my cellphone I decided to share it anyway.
A fellow blogger and friend of mine wrote me a lovely poem in the comments on my last blog post. I have known John for a long time, as he and I followed one another's blogs when I was at Linda's Peaceful Place years ago. I would like to share this poem he wrote me with you all. His blog is John's IslandHe is a very kind and talented man! I appreciate him and his friendship very much!
John, a sincere and heartfelt thank you for this beautiful poem, it touched my heart and brought me to tears (happy tears). Thank you so much, dear friend!
To Linda, on a Joyful June Note
A Thursday wrapped in grateful light, With kindness shining bold and bright. Your words like petals soft and true, Bring gentle wisdom into view.
You teach us that a stormy sky Still holds a place where hearts can fly. And though the road may twist and bend, The truest souls remain, and tend.
A laughing babe, a serenade, Sweet simple joys that never fade. The clouds, the tree, a pink-hued bloom, All chase away the deepest gloom.
So thank you, Linda, for the grace You sprinkle through this bloggy space. Each thought, each quote, each photo shared— Reminds us all: we're loved and cared.
John

Good evening, I love the collection of good thoughts and photos you have shared with us. I don't have a cell phone so wouldn't even know how to take a photo with it smiles Your photo is lovely-I can really see the flowers when I clicked to enlarge the photo. Take care and have an awesome new week Hugs Kathy
Happy Monday! Well, not my favorite day of the week but I am trying to be positive. LOL! As usual, love the quotes and I am always drawn to the illustrations that have cats in them. I can appreciate the loveliness of those yellow blooms. It is hard to catch the beauty of plants via our cellphones but to me it is good enough. Well, John is quite the poet! He has a way with words and I love the poem.
Happy Monday, Linda. This is such a lovely poem and I enjoyed all of the uplifting quotes. The blooms on the tree are gorgeous. I bet it smelled heavenly. Have a wonderful week. Hugs.
Love the first video - full of laughs for me. The pianola type piano is good also and the last one is sweet of the birds. The photos you took are lovely; I particularly like the clivia one. Nice cat and the memes are good too, Linda.
I've done some online workshops with Terry Runyan and I love her work -- even have her calendar. It's just happy and makes me smile. John's poem is lovely. And that tree -- I need to find what that is. I see them around all the time and think they're so pretty!
Merci beaucoup pour ce très bel article accompagné de superbes photos... J'ai passé un excellent moment ! Je te souhaite une agréable journée, bisous bisous.
Hello, Another great inspiring quote. I do love John's poem, he does have a way with words. Love the alpacas, they are so cute. Keep smiling and be happy. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
Hi Linda, I agree on Naomi Wolf's quote. I also like the sentence about the river that will never pass again. Thank you for sharing the recipe of Apple banana smoothie. I will give it a try soon. Have a nice new week 🍒
El batido parece apetitoso aunque creo se pueda realizar con el plátano al natural. Las frases como siempre geniales, en cuanto a los videos el del elefante muy gracioso, seguro que la agente no les dejo conducir durante un tiempo.
John's poem is a beautiful gift and well deserved. He knows you as the good-hearted person that you are, as do I :) Thank you for this very uplifting post, love al the quotes, all the images and your own beautiful photos. Have a lovely week dear friend!
So were those LLAMA? I liked this one - Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given. - St. Francis of Assisi. Enjoyed this.
Linda that pink elephant was absolutely too funny. I adore those Gags. Your quote about how we do not take anything we receive with us when we leave this world but only what we gave away. Such a lovely thought. Your pictures are wonderful. The baby llamas are adorable. Hope you have a blessed start to July. Thank you too for stopping by faithfully to visit me. Hugs!
Grata por esta linda publicação e pelo belo conselho: "Mantenha o sorriso, deixe a tensão, sinta a alegria, não se preocupe, mantenha a paz, deixe a dor e sempre ore e seja feliz!" Muito grata. Boa semana!
Lovely Poem from John, some people are gifted with a great use of words for sure. I love all the kitty pictures :) the orange flowers you took are so pretty, as is your yellow tree pictures, I have found that the right time of the day makes all the difference really, high noon is not the best because the sun is too bright, early morning and late evening are the best :)
Thank you for sharing your photo of the tree with yellow flowers although you were not satisfied with the photo, I must say the photo looks good and it helped me to learn about the trees in Montreal. From online search, I found that the name of the tree is Syringa reticulata. I like to identify names of trees, plants and flowers. Thanks again.
A lovely post once more. Keep on with the cell phone camera, you'll get there, not that there's anything wrong with what you're taking now :) John also wrote me a lovely poem on one of my posts and I really appreciated it.
Those baby quails are so cute! Your friend John is amazing to write a special poem for you. I've always admired poets but can't write in that form myself.
Linda, your blog is a warm, gentle breeze, With wisdom and quotes that comfort and please. From smoothies to sayings, your thoughts gently flow, Like rivers of kindness that help spirits grow.
Your photos and smiles light up the day, And nudge all our worries gently away. So thanks for the joy at June’s sweet end— You're sunshine in pixels, my blogging friend! ☀️🌿📷
