The following are my own photos that I took years ago, in 2013. You can click on each image to see a larger view.
The following photos are ones I took myself this month on my cellphone! This is a followup of the series of photos from my last post! These photos were all taken at Jean Drapeau Park (Ile Ste Helene, St. Helen's Island), in Montreal at the old Expo 67 World's Fair (1967) location. You can click on each image to see a larger view. Please visit the Expo 67 link to learn more about this place.
Of course, as most of you know by now, I have no idea what types of flowers these are. I just found them pretty and loved the colours so I decided to take photos of them. :)
Yes, I took a selfie, my first one! I was in the washroom and liked the pretty wallpaper, so I decided to take this photo and include myself in it.
Since I have been sharing photos of St. Helen's Island here in Montreal, where Expo 67 took place in 1967, this is a video of the song made for this celebration! It is a lovely, catchy tune that is both French and English and has some beautiful scenery of how St. Helen's Island looked back in 1967! Thank you so much for checking out this video!
The gentleman shown at the end of this video is Jean Drapeau, who was the Montreal Mayor back then and he was the man who made it possible for Expo 67 to take place here in Montreal!
After his death, the name of the Ile Ste-Helene metro/subway station was changed from Ile Ste-Helene to Jean Drapeau. You can find out more about him by clicking on this link
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy!
This next video is of a seagull that has the "gall" to steal this cat's food. :)
This last video is very relaxing and beautiful. It is an Aqua Harp! Enjoy!
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I really appreciate your visits and comments. You can leave a comment by clicking on the comment link at the end of my post. I like the quote about brushing your brain :) and about the fact if cats could talk they wouldn't, I think that would be true of one of our cats but the other one is quite the talker now, you ask him a question and he answers back, LOL! Beautiful pics, a lot of them remind me of the Park in St. Louis were they held the world fair many years ago.
Keep looking up - the secret to life. LOVE THIS. Also, your shots of the flowers are so pretty. Love the choirs coming up and singing by people. Got a kick out of that.
Your posts are always uplifting ,Linda. Thank you so much for bringing a smile to my day. The photo of the little squirrel just grabbed my heart. -too cute. Blessings.
Lovely memes and quotes, all true Linda. The video singing one is good and the poor man on the phone..lol. Love the selfie and your photos. The video of the cat watching the seagull, well that had me laughing, and how that cat just sat there and watched, the cheek of the bird taking the cats bowl..lol
I agree on the power of positivity, Linda. And what people think really doesn't matter. I also like Bryant McGill's quote. Your photos show peaceful and beautiful places. Have a nice week ahead of you ☀️
I enjoyed the expo 67 video! It brought back memories of being in Grade 5 and taking the train from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia to Montreal with classmates and chaperones for a couple of days to experience Expo! I may have come upon your blog by accident a little while back, yet now I am here to stay!
Wow I was at that expo with my parents back then-I was a senior in high school at the time-smiles. Loved your photos-and inspirational quotes--stay safe in this very hot and humid summer hugs Kathy
We no longer have any pets since we had to have our little shi tzu put to sleep (cancer). I just enjoy all my blogging friends little fur babies. Enjoyed seeing all the beauty on your post this morning...
Such true sayings. I like the one about the presence of a cat. The seagull video is hilarious, the way the cat just watches. And the harp is beautiful.
I love your photos, Linda, especially the squirrel one as I have a soft spot in my heart for these fun-loving creatures. The choir attack was fantastic! Blessings!
Hi Linda ! I can see right away that you like cats. I really like the "choir attack" and the relaxing harp music. I love music and I sing in a choir. Greetings from Poland :))
There are so many good quotes in here that I didn't even realize that I needed today! I've never been to St Helen's island, but your photos are making me think I might need to take a special trip up there some time. Thanks so much for sharing!
Nice to put a face to your blog. I actually attended Expo as a child with my family. Even got to ride an elephant at one point. We also sang that song in our choir most practices, and on the last day of grade school for the year we sang it in front of the entire school and those parents who came.
Good to see you there in selfie mode Linda. My cats never shut up, so I am pretty sure if they could talk it wouldn't be any different 🤣😂 Sad to hear that you have wild fires over there. Here, fires always come with summer, I always have an action plan for leaving the cottage. Have a good week, and thank you for sharing another dose of happiness.
"Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are." I really needed this. Linda! I love all the cat pictures and quotes. This one "If cats could talk, they wouldn't." is very real, my cat sometimes ignores me. LOL! I love the photos of the sweet pretty flowers too and your selfie did not go unnoticed!
Kindness and empathy are so important these days. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. I especially loved seeing all the pretty flowers. And also very nice to see you too ♥
Ah the Aqua Harp is so perfect!!! The nerve of that seagull, and of course the cat nothing! Cats are as annoying as they are hilarious! The church choir attack was the best :D And the guy of the grey shirt rocked it :D Also hilarious how the squirrel posed for the photo :) Snoopy is always so smart :) And love the brain rhyme of Rain, rain go away... this version is way more fun! Have a wondeful week!
Hi Linda, Beautiful photos of the flowers, the squirrel is really cute. The video of the seagull stealing the cat food is great. After a few tries, I just took the whole bowl with me. Best regards Irma
Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!! I love all the quotes especially "Brain, Brain Go Away, Do not Overthink Another Day!! " I really tend to do that a lot!! Hugs, Deb Debbie-Dabble Blog
Brushing my teeth at night I should brush my brain, too. Maybe I'd get to sleep faster--lol! Love the gull stealing the cat food. That cat is obviously well-fed or that gull would never have gotten away with that. :) The choir singing around the people on the benches was great! :)
Boa tarde e uma excelente terça-feira. Paz e muita saúde. Que viagem maravilhosa. Gostaria muito de conhecer esse lindo lugar. Obrigado por sua visita e cada comentário.

I so enjoy looking and reading at all you place on your post. So much time you have taken to make it so enjoyable! I love your selfie! blessings, Kathleen
Good morning 🌞 Linda, May you have a wonderful Wednesday! I guess you are asleep now at 11.40 pm. In your 2013 photos, is that a red squirrel 🐿️? I haven't seen a real life red squirrel before. They do look cute. Are you all allowed to feed them?
Thank you for the correction. Gray squirrel 🐿️ I haven't seen a real life gray squirrel 🐿️ before too I see you are still awake, late at night Have a good sleep 😴 💤
First of all, I love the photo you took of yourself dear friend, and I also loved the top you are wearing. So cute! Your other photos are wonderful :) always enjoy the wise words along with their images, I smiled all the way through. I hope you are having a wonderful week and continue to do so : ) sending hugs xox
Dear friend Linda. I met so many kind people in Dortmund (post next Sunday if you like) - it was wonderful. And no... people told me what they think - and that was a good thing :-) It helped me, it mattered. Yes to the Lion in the kitty. I think that happened to me the last two days. My brain is on holiday today (as is summer). I never expected Goldie Hawn being in fear of anything! But then... just read about Betty White and she has the same. LOL (?) I didn´t even have to say anything. Really, I am so thankful for all the people I met the last two days - your post nails it! Ohhh, Peanut´s cousin - hi! Hehe. Selfie like that to come here, too on Sunday! Hi, very nice to meet you, Linda! Thank you for the link. Maybe you can explain: When I read a number in English it turns into German. But when I read French ... my brain goes the complicated French way (dix-neuf-cent....). Thank you, I still understand more French than I thought! Last time I was in France was...198..... just forget it. "A very long time ago"! Sorry for being late. Those were two stressy days...
Love all those quotes - especially the ones about cats as I am very much a cat-lover. Such beautiful photos of the flowers too - the colours are so vibrant. Thank you for visiting my blog & for your lovely comment - it really made my day :-) People don't often comment on blogs these days as I guess they are all on other social media & I suppose it is easier to click a Heart on Instagram or Facebook - but I still love to blog my cards so I can record my little art journey. Guess I am old-fashioned in that approach but that's just fine with me - it makes me happy. Thanks again!
I love the 'brain, brain, go away' quote - that's me in the middle of altogether too many sleepless nights. T'was nice to see you in that photo (and the wallpaper is nice too).
Absolutely *love* all these quotes & pictures, Linda. So so true, especially the ones about animals. I know some folks who feel they are "intelligent" but treat animals so poorly that, to me, they are as dumb as a box of rocks! Love, Andrea xoxo
Thanks for sharing the inspirational quotes (and your own photos), Linda. The 2 related to overthinking and "brushing" your brain really resonated with me today ;)
Dear Linda, you’ve once again gathered a wonderful selection of wise and thoughtful quotes. I truly liked them all – but my favorite was: “Never get caught up in what other people think. It really doesn't matter.” Maybe that one resonated most with me because of the accompanying image featuring a wolf. (As you may have seen in my recent blog post, I feel a special connection to wolves. But I love most other animals as well.) Thank you also for your kind words on my blog – and for sharing your lovely photos! It was a joy to see you in your selfie – and I absolutely like your cat shirt 😻 Warmest greetings from Austria to Montreal, Traude
Those are such inspiring quotes. It is so nice to think about kindness and empathy. The photos from St. Helen's Island are really pretty, and it is cool that you shared a selfie too! The Expo 67 song is super catchy, and it is neat to learn about Jean Drapeau.
Hello Linda Many thanks for your comment on my summer days post on the low carb diabetic. I was so surprised when you said I hadn't left a comment on this post because I can remember writing about the super selfie and lovely flowers!? Blogger does have glitches from time to time.
Great selections. My favorites are the choir attack video and the Aqua Harp one. That was lovely to listen to, but now I have to Google to see what makes the music on the harp. I don't see anyone actually playing it.
At first glance. I thought you were in a tub with clothes on! Funny. Great collection of photos and cartoons. The best of everything. Wishing you a yummy weekend ahead. Cheers and boogie boogie.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me and for your comments. All comments are moderated to deter spam, so for this reason comments will not appear immediately.
Your cell phone takes fabulous photos! The colors are so vibrant and the images are so sharp.

ReplyDeleteLoved all of your photos...including your selfie. :) The flowers are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteMay you have a wonderful Wednesday! I guess you are asleep now at 11.40 pm.
In your 2013 photos, is that a red squirrel 🐿️? I haven't seen a real life red squirrel before. They do look cute. Are you all allowed to feed them?
This is a gray squirrel, dear friend.

ReplyDeleteDear friend Linda.
ReplyDeleteI met so many kind people in Dortmund (post next Sunday if you like) - it was wonderful.
And no... people told me what they think - and that was a good thing :-) It helped me, it mattered.
Those were two stressy days...

the purple/green leafy plant pic looks like a heuchera to me!!
ReplyDeleteI love the 'brain, brain, go away' quote - that's me in the middle of altogether too many sleepless nights.
ReplyDeleteT'was nice to see you in that photo (and the wallpaper is nice too).
Absolutely *love* all these quotes & pictures, Linda. So so true, especially the ones about animals. I know some folks who feel they are "intelligent" but treat animals so poorly that, to me, they are as dumb as a box of rocks! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the inspirational quotes (and your own photos), Linda. The 2 related to overthinking and "brushing" your brain really resonated with me today ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely quotes and pictures !
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit !
Have a nice evening !

What lovely quotes and inspirations my Friend. And that area looks so pretty. Your flowers were stunning!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteyou’ve once again gathered a wonderful selection of wise and thoughtful quotes. I truly liked them all – but my favorite was: “Never get caught up in what other people think. It really doesn't matter.” Maybe that one resonated most with me because of the accompanying image featuring a wolf. (As you may have seen in my recent blog post, I feel a special connection to wolves. But I love most other animals as well.)
Thank you also for your kind words on my blog – and for sharing your lovely photos! It was a joy to see you in your selfie – and I absolutely like your cat shirt 😻
Warmest greetings from Austria to Montreal,

Those are such inspiring quotes. It is so nice to think about kindness and empathy. The photos from St. Helen's Island are really pretty, and it is cool that you shared a selfie too! The Expo 67 song is super catchy, and it is neat to learn about Jean Drapeau.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your comment on my summer days post on the low carb diabetic.
I was so surprised when you said I hadn't left a comment on this post because I can remember writing about the super selfie and lovely flowers!?
Blogger does have glitches from time to time.
Take care and sending good wishes.
All the best Jan
Great selections.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the choir attack video and the Aqua Harp one.
ReplyDeleteI love your selfie! 😃🤳
ReplyDeletePretty flowers, too.
