Linda, the Meanwhile in Canada caption made me laugh - the only mean Canadian is the Canadian goose and surfing in Canada while the wave is frozen hah..hah...hah.... You photos of the snow is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love squirrels, Linda, as Racer is the hero of my novel series! I guess this little guy must be one of his proteges. I can also recall my grandmother singing that "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" song. Such sweet and poignant memories that brought back for me. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, thank you so much for your lovely posts-I really enjoy reading them hugs
ReplyDeleteNice selections today!

ReplyDeleteMark Twain is spot on :-))
ReplyDeleteA wonderful tribute to our cat friends
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is "For your own safety, let people think what they want" And that is so true! We waste so much effort trying to change others! God made everyone different for a reason.

A beautiful snowy landscape where you are; it's much too warm here on the coast again! All the quotes are touching and beautiful, and the videos are both funny and educational!
ReplyDeleteWishing you good days! Hugs Elke
I like all your quotes today, Linda! I love your snowy pictures. We have no snow here so far, and it's unusual.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is pretty.
ReplyDeleteLoved the cat quotes!
ReplyDeleteKiitos Linda. Mielenkiintoinen, ajatuksia herättävä postaus.
ReplyDeleteSirpa
All the quotes are very wise and true. Your photos are beautiful winter. Best regards :)
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, these are so inspiring. I've always liked the quote from Mark Twain :) Winter has truly arrived in your area! Beautiful photos.

Cats - a month of patience.
ReplyDeleteSome of the memes are really good, Linda. A good laugh at the just for laughs. Your photos of the snow are nice too.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Your quotes are so good, as usual! Warm greetings from Hungary!
ReplyDeleteToday I like everything, as usual, those sayings full of wisdom and the extraordinary videos too.
ReplyDeleteGreetings.
Have a nice winter there in faraway Canada and Merry Christmas! 🎅
ReplyDeleteLovely memes and quotes. Thanks for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing post
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it with us
Have a nice day ♡
“Do not feed the animals” signs are universally posted in parks across the world and are equally universally ignored! I am quite convinced that everyone is born with a special gene that kicks in when one becomes a grandparent and taking the grandkids to feed the ducks is what one does!
ReplyDeleteOh no..., ;-) twice, Linda, the gag and the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful and inspiring post.
Great quotes. The snowy images looks pretty but make me cold.
Take care, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead.
Jules Vernes sure knew! I´m looking for a "blesson" for sure... and Tiny Buddha sure is wise.
ReplyDeleteHelen Keller sure was some woman!
And to memories, dear friend Linda. I find myself educating..
Just yesterday I bought a mini-Christmas tree. 25 cm high...
Oh. Do you have snow!
My Grandma had Alzheimer´s...
Ohhh on the squirrel. One day I sat at my private PC and saw movement on the balcony. "Peanut" our squirrel was beating the scarecrow that protected the bird seeds from the darn pigeons!
Warm hugs, laughter and much love on the way 🥰
Nice selection. We are getting our second snowfall of the season. This is supposed to be a big one. Hoping they're wrong
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI'm back for my three days of blogging for the month of November, dear friend, although I have added an extra day this time as residents of the U.S. observe a long Thanksgiving weekend.
I like the concept of a "blesson." Seems that's the most common type of blessing by far in this life and in this world of ours. You know you've got the right mindset when you can smile about a painful lesson and say to yourself "Thank you for this learning opportunity." i also appreciate Helen Keller's wisdom about life lessons needing to be lived to be understood. I notice that several of the memes in this post deal with life's challenges. Another that resonates is that you can choose to run from a painful past or learn from it. I often experience disturbing flashbacks of the way I conducted myself in my younger years which were characterized by wild partying, heavy drinking, smoking and dabbling in drugs, but I immediately thank myself for summoning the strength and courage 33+ years ago to turn away from that destructive lifestyle and choose to live clean and free of those substances and behaviors.
I am surprised to learn that you had your first snowfall a couple of weeks ago. The pictures you took are beautiful. I look forward to our first snowfall here in the mid-Atlantic region.
I genuinely enjoyed today's Just For Laughs Gag. it was nicely set up and executed and made the pranked people struggle to keep from laughing as the wheelchair bound man plowed past seated shoppers trying to enjoy their snacks. in other words, no one was placed at risk of getting hurt or frightened so badly that it put their health at risk. i will share with Mrs. Shady that recipe for homemade cough syrup consisting of honey, olive oil and lemon juice. I appreciated Music for Seniors with Dementia. Around two years ago, I started memorizing the lyrics to old favorite songs of the past. It is an excellent mental exercise and I find that I can turn my mood around in a hurry nowadays by singing those songs to myself as I do housework, shower, get dressed etc. The bond between that man and his pet squirrel is heartwarming, and it is amazing that the little guy protects the household from intruders.
I thoroughly enjoyed these offerings, dear friend Linda. Come see me if you can at Shady's Place and enjoy the rest of your week and weekend!
Karen Salmansohn is always right.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth photo your took on November 12th shows a lovely corner of Montreal covered with snow (This time I wrote montreal and not melbourne 😀 LOL).
Greetings
Bom dia e boa quarta-feira minha querida amiga Linda. Fico com.a frase sobre saúde mental. Pensem o que quiserem. O importante não é o pensamento dos outros sobre você e sim o seu pensamento. Grande abraço carioca e do Brasil.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Mark Twain here 100%!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Linda :-)
Saludos.
I like ‘blesson’. It’s wordplay which is a good beginning, but I like the concept.
ReplyDeleteMy son made the comment of wanting a "do-over" on 2025. I replied, "Why would you want that? Let's just get it over with and move on to the next year!"
ReplyDeleteHello Linda. I have great respect for all nature's creatures. Especially, I love dogs and cats. When I was a child, we lived with cats in the yard. Now we have a dog in the family. They are our children.
ReplyDeleteHave a good evening, my dear.
I'm getting a squirrel to guard me :)
ReplyDeleteYes, let people think what they want and don't try to understand them! We only get crazy if we do!
I really don't like winter lol
Have a great weekend!
I very much agree with Mark Twain !
ReplyDeleteH.D.T. to the point, as always. :)
ReplyDeleteLike every time, I reached the end of the post with a great deal of positive vibes. The one I take with me today is "Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood." - Helen Keller
ReplyDeleteHello my dear friend, as always you brought a smile to my face. I agree with what you wrote here — every painful lesson is a blessing because it teaches us how to live. Sending you warm hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes! I love the notion of blessons...
ReplyDeleteI've always loved that Mark Twain quote, and I think he's absolutely right there!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the positive vibes Linda! xxx
Guess you don't celebrate Thanksgiving today. Hope you have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is this one:
The only disability in life is a bad attitude. - Scott Hamilton
I love that.
Dla własnego zdrowia psychicznego pozwól ludziom myśleć, co chcą. Podoba mi się ta złota myśl. Tak bardzo przejmujemy się co inni powiedzą albo pomyślą o nas. Pozdrawiam :-).
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYou ALWAYS put a smile on my face and speak some helpful wisdom with your graphics. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel cracked me up! :)
ReplyDeleteAll that glorious snow, lovely photos ❄️❄️ Meanwhile in Canada got a giggle from me.
ReplyDeleteI have to add something in hopes it will make you giggle. The Jules Verne quote has a silly typo: "I believe cars are spirits come to earth..." I wanted to become an editor in my youth and the tendency remains (though of course I make mistakes all the time - lol). Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy seeing your snowy pictures and that squirrel WOW!
Thank you for an uplifting post.
All the best Jan
Concuerdo contigo el amor es una cura milagrosa. Te mando un beso y te deseo un lindo día de gracias y un buen fin de semana.
ReplyDeleteIt is Thanksgiving here in the US and I can honestly say I am thankful for your uplifting and inspiring posts, Linda. Thank you for all you put into your blog. And "blesson" is something I've learned.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Google logged me out again! The last comment was from me :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your snow pictures. Especially the snow on the bench one.
ReplyDeleteThe snow photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you always and thank you for your blog.
ReplyDeleteI like the quotes, the cats, and also that spectacular snowfall; it snowed in the mountains here too. Hugs and have a good week.
ReplyDeletedear linda, i have just got back from my family holiday (within malaysia). i was away for 5 days. anyway, the weather in malaysia since yesterday has been cold and rainy (intermittent and non-stop drizzling), with typhoon affecting some places... thanks for sharing all the snow pics! loving 'em all!! my chosen quotes from your entry is :"Love is the great miracle cure." LOVE is always the best thing ever happens to us :) indeed. take care dear linda!
ReplyDeleteBlesson is an interesting term. A cross between blessing and lesson and all they entail. I like it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes which makes me feel better, thank you. It is amazing you also post poster about donation about helping animlas, bravo. I love snow so happy to such lovely photos from you. Have a nice weekend, greetings and hugs. ;))))
ReplyDeleteThose cats are just so cute and wonderful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteDelighful, Linda. Blesson, what a lovely word, it's one I'm sure I'll remember.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the ear worm!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteI would like to live life to the fullest.
Best regards :)
Wow that park bench had a lot of snow on it, we are supposed to get our first snowfall overnight so we should be waking up to snow tomorrow morning. Especially this time of year I miss my parents and I don't take anyone for granted still being with us anymore.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Your post feels like a warm ray on a cold day: full of wisdom, tenderness, and light. ‘Blesson’ is a word that stays in the heart. Beautiful photos and beautiful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteYes, you brightened my day, Linda! The images and quotes you shared. always speak to me. The wheelchair gag was hilarious, and that pet squirrel amazing. You can keep the snow. 😂 Take care, my dear friend! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are too cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections and a brilliant post.
ReplyDeleteYour memes are always great, Linda, and there is always something that speaks to me right then. I also really loved your snow pictures. We have to go to the mountains (a four hour drive) to get into snow, which we used to do once during each winter. Sunny snowy days is something wonderful. Shoveling snow and driving on icy roads not so much. I wish you a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like the park bench covered in snow.
ReplyDeleteMy word I'm leaning toward this up coming week is "Zappy"
ReplyDeleteI loved reading all your little nuggets! Thanks for gathering them up for us to read. And thanks for stopping by my blog today. Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteLe foto sono simpatiche e alcuni filmati mi hanno fatto sorridere. Grazie.
ReplyDeleteUn saluto e un abbraccio
enrico
I liked your snowy pictures. So lovely 🥰 Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLinda, your posts are always such a gentle breath of fresh air.
ReplyDeleteThank you for gathering all these thoughts, memories, photos and uplifting words — you have a beautiful way of brightening the day for everyone who visits you.
I really enjoyed the quotes, especially the idea of a “blesson”: turning lessons into blessings. That one will stay with me.
Thank you for sharing so much kindness and light.
Warm hugs, dear friend.
One can count on Mark Twain to have a pithy comment!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the attack squirrel!! My cat would just hide from any intruder.
We lived in Canada (well, not really, Newfoundland) for almost four years when I was in high school. I learned an accent, but never the language. Your snow pic reminded me of the white outs we used to have..oh us kids thought they were just the best thing because we got out of school for the day. I expect any where in Canada besides an air force base would not have cancelled school. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your positive post. I loved all!
Dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteI liked all of them, but especially the ones about cats and dogs.
Thank you very much!
Your snowy park photos capture such a peaceful atmosphere, and the mix of uplifting quotes alongside them makes the whole post feel like a gentle reminder to pause and appreciate both lessons and blessings. The idea of a "blesson" is especially meaningful, turning challenges into something positive and lasting.
ReplyDeleteUnes frases i pensaments molt encertats, amiga !!.
ReplyDeleteUna abraçada i molt bona setmana ;)
Bom sábado e bom final de semana, minha querida amiga Linda. Grande abraço do Brasil.
ReplyDeleteSuch wise words of wisdom, Linda! I do ever so love cats and have two myself, a mother and her daughter.
ReplyDeleteThere is snow here in central Europe as well, but it has not yet reached my city and I am not overly looking forward to shoveling it LOL We do have rainy and murky Autumn days though, currently.
Isto é lindo. Nunca devemos desperdiçar estes magníficos Pensamentos.
ReplyDeleteBeijo,
SOL da Esteva
I love all of them, especially the beautiful pictures you took yourself!
ReplyDeleteBonsoir amies,amis
ReplyDeleteQue votre soirée vous soit agréable
Et votre nuit remplie de jolis rêves
Bisous d'amitié Rita
J'ai des soucis avec mon ordinateur
Love all the sayings! I now will use "blessons"! I also love the "adopt" one. We've rescued all our pets over the years. Many were seniors like our Annabelle. I did rescue a cat that we ended up having for 14yrs. She wasn't the most friendly but she was a great mouser! The only time I was in Montreal was for the World's Fair in 1967..Expo 67. My Dad was frustrated with all the French signs when driving! I know, crazy Americans! Have a good rest of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks chilly! It is chilly here- but no snow yet. Thanks for sharing these- have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYour own photos are lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd all the memes are encouraging.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Forte abraço daqui do Sul do Brasil.
Have a nice weekend, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love cat... every day, every time always with my cats.
The squirrel is so cute with such bushy tail and rounded eyes! The Gag video made me laugh looking at the reactions and facial expressions of the public/passerby. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBy the way Linda, I love the videos you shared, got Gag Video to make us laugh and see the lighter side of life, got lovely songs/music (such as the panflute videos which I love so much), got mesmerizing ones (such as the enchanted tea set video), got simple home health remedy (though not all are suitable for us) and so on and also videos about animals and pets. You are very resourceful and thanks for the effort for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMilá Lindo, přeji Ti krásnou první adventní neděli! Katka
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these, been feeling a bit low and they cheered me up.
ReplyDeleteKot
ReplyDeleteThe 'mean Canadian' goose made me laugh. We didn't see any mean Canadians of any variety when we were there recently. The quote about how we spend Christmas was also very thought provoking. Thank you for sharing more of your lovely photos and quotes. They are a real blessing. I hope the week is kind to you and December is a delight.
Igual
ReplyDeleteAbrazo!!
Wow you have so many comments. Does it take all week to gather such a delightful assortment together. Love the guard squirrel! Take care Angela
ReplyDeleteSnow, snow, snow... we have 8 inches so far from our Thanksgiving week and weekend storms.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the uplifting messages Linda, I do appreciate them.
xx oo
Carla
Thank you for the lovely photos, and your wise and funny quotes. truly an uplifting post!
ReplyDeleteLoved everything, most of all this one: "Keep putting out good. It will come back to you tenfold in unexpected ways." ❤️ Merci, chère Linda.
ReplyDeleteTodos son maravillosos, no puedo elegir uno porque todos me gustan. Tus fotos de la nieve quedaron preciosas. Besos.
ReplyDeleteI love the word, Blesson. Now my new fave word and the bench with teh snow. LOOOOOOVE seeing your own photos. LOOOOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your snowy photos — Montreal looks gorgeous this time of year! The videos were great too, especially the Just for Laughs gag. Thank you for putting together such a cheerful post!
ReplyDelete
