This is what a Canada Post public mailbox looks like. Note the graffiti on the bottom. Even Federal property such as this Canada Post mailbox is unfortunately not immune to graffiti.

This is what a regular stop sign looks like in Quebec.

This is what a Montreal bus stop looks like.

This is what a stop sign may look like in a Montreal town; in this case, Town of Mount Royal. However, the majority of stop signs in Quebec are in French, with the word ARRET (like in one of my photos above)

A mural I saw on the side of a building.

This sign is at a stop sign close to a school, on the sidewalk close to the road. It is a reminder to drivers "Attention to our children!"

I took this photo on one of my walks in August. These things were swaying in the beautiful breeze. Although I do not know what they are called, for some reason I am thinking 'bulrushes'.

A Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) video, done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)

Take a walk down memory lane with this 1960's Pillsbury TV Commercial featuring Maureen McCormick who played the role of Marsha Brady on The Brady Bunch!

  6. Thank you for showing us a bit of what Montreal looks like. I would need to take photos of all the words in french and use translate app to understand them. Do you read and speak french?

  8. I should really think to put my ears in for my morning coffee to hear the birds singing. The problem is that i like to avoid the hearing aid hassle until it is necessary when my wife gets up alter.

  13. There's no mistaking your mailboxes, and I note the only area with the graffiti is the blank area.
I would call them bullrushes, but my knowledge is almost zero.
