Compliments, Strength, Inner Beauty
rHello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you so much for taking the time to come and visit me here! I want you all to know how much I appreciate it!
I already mentioned this in my last post, but for those of you who didn't get to see that post...I will continue posting throughout the Christmas holidays and the New Year!
Every Monday and Thursday you will see a new post. Some people get lonely, depressed or stressed during this time of year, and it is my hope that my posts will provide some brightness, comfort and joy!
Thank you all so much for your love and support, it really means so much to me!
Here are today's selections, which I hope will brighten your day in some way.
Be kind. Sometimes all it takes is only one act of kindness and caring to change someone's life.
Inspire Positive Soul Sensations
He always knew he was a little different, but he let his light shine regardless of what others said. Be more Rudolph.
Mindful Wishes
It's the most wonderpurr time of the year. :)
Cat Wisdom 101
If you are cold, they are cold. Please bring your pets inside. Like humans, cats and dogs are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia.
Life is strange. You arrive with nothing, spend your whole life chasing everything, and still leave with nothing. Make sure your heart gains more than your hands.
Sometimes just a little compliment can make someone's entire day.
The Little Things in Life
Caring for others is important, but Covid-19 taught us that sometimes, by caring for yourself, you're caring for others, too. - Becca Kaye
The Healthy
Everybody knows how to utter a complaint, but few can express a graceful compliment. - William Feather
Breakthrough Quotes
My favorite season is when all the mosquitoes are dead. :)
Meanwhile in Canada
The following photos are my own, which I took on November 27th, on a walk here in Montreal. This first photo is of a little Christmas tree outside a funeral home. In the back you can see "Chapelle", which is the French word for "chapel" You can click on any image to see a larger view.
I went out to a delicatessen for breakfast, and this was my meal, a cheese omelet with tomato slices, coffee and water. I don't have an omelet often, so it was a nice treat. And no, I had no toast or anything else to eat with this meal except for what is in the photo. I have mentioned that I am not a big eater, but I do my best to eat healthy! :)
I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover (sing along for seniors, Dementia, Alzheimers) You don't need to have Dementia or Alzheimers to appreciate and enjoy this lovely song! :)

Linda, there is nothing like starting the morning with wise quotes and some lighthearted ones too! I love your simple yet nourishing breakfast of cheese omelette, tomato slices, water and coffee! I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
I loved the Carol of the Bells at the end. We sang that song when I was in high school chorus! It was such fun to sing along with again! And the story of the "attack/guard cat" was great!! I appreciated all of the posts/quotes tonight. I was feeling a little blue, and this one cheered me up! Thank you!!!
You cannot heal in the same environment that makes you sick. The strongest people are the ones who are still kind after the world takes them apart. I like those two. I tried to make quiche today and it didn't quite turn out.
Linda, I loved this post! 💛 The quotes are so uplifting, your breakfast looks cozy, and that cat video made me smile. Thanks for sharing such a cheerful, heartwarming mix!
What a lovely, uplifting blog you have. Thank you for bringing up the importance of having pets in the house during cold weather. Princess always lives inside with me. I've never understood having a dog and leaving the poor thing outside alone. Dogs are pack animals. They want to be with their human families. I loved the never ending bag roll and the brave kitty videos.
dear linda. monday greetings from kuala lumpur! cheese omelette looks yummy enough! same here, i had one hard boiled egg and a slice of whole meal bread for my breakfast today.. my chosen quote is the 1st one : Be kind. Sometimes all it takes is only one act of kindness and caring to change someone's life... it's so true! I tend to be forgetful of some lil things that I did in the past (my act for others) and it makes me feel wonderful (sweet surprise) when that lil act/treat was appreciated/being mentioned by those people :)
i too will be posting as i do. i try to post everyday. your entries do bring brightness and joy!! my favorite today "sometimes just a little compliment can make someone's entire day". i find a smile has the same impact!!
The memes are good but you always choose nice one and so much truth in them too. Just for laughs had me laughing again and I like the last video - it's music to the ear :) Linda.
These are wonderful words of wisdom that are always useful in life. Thank you so much for them! It's lovely to see the chapel and your delicious omelet in your photos! The videos are all well-chosen, yes, I really enjoyed the last one! Have a wonderful Christmas season and I hope you're doing well! Hugs, Elke
Good morning, Linda! The quotes from tiny buddha resonate with me. That omelette looks delicious. It's nice to treat oneself once in a while. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week ahead!
Hi Linda, With regards to pets, unfortunately many people don't understand how they are cold outdoor. I agree with Mehmet Murat Ildan's quote. Beautiful picture of that soft payh covered with orange and red leaves. Greetings
Our parents were patient when we were young, now it's time to be patient during their old age." You are right there! Why can't they continue to be patient when they are old? The only "patient" they are is when they visit the doctor! God bless.
Hello Linda! Thank you so much for your very wise and uplifting thoughts. The Little Buddha quote, in particular, is what resonates with me. Hmm, that omelet looks very appetizing :)
Bom dia e boa segunda-feira minha querida amiga Linda. As reflexões são ótimas. Ficarei com a sétima reflexão. Obrigada por sua visita e comentário. Grande abraço carioca e do Brasil.
I thankfully have friends who are kind - you included, if "only" via blogger-land, dear friend Linda! To adjusting, we all need to do that - we learn! Anne Frank was incredible... what a shame, what a waste... My paternal family hid Jewish people - not all were bad... My maternal flew from "the Russians". Good explanation about the tears. And yes, my shoulder cracks when I lift a cup of tea - no kidding! My parents are long gone... "I love your blog!" - does this count as little compliment? Covid sure changed my life! To the better. irony, huh... Haha, yes... mosquitoes I sure will meet soon! And to eating healthy! Oh, I must film Ingo trying to open such a bag for fruits and stuff - drives you nuts!! To cats!! Thank you, dear Linda, you made my day! 🥰
Hello Linda, Wonderful and inspiring quotes! It cost nothing to be kind! Sprinkle kindness everywhere. It is good to eat healthy! Take care, have a wonderful week ahead.
I needed these words today: "He always knew he was a little different, but he let his light shine regardless of what others said. Be more Rudolph." So thanks Linda ❤️
I love little compliments. They are so easy to give and can mean so much to a person. That said, I'm terrible at accepting compliments myself ;-) Have a lovely week!
It is so very true that you cannot heal in the same environment that makes you sick. I do love omelets like you, but since I am glufree I make them with one egg, six table spoons of ground oatflakes, a bit of water and seasonings.
Thank you so much for coming by my blog and leaving your comment. i appreciate it. I like your blog with all the positive things that you include. Great messages. I also love omelets and make one at least once a week.
Abrazos.
Good evening, Linda. Thank you for all these excellent photos and quotes, my dear. They are sending to us the best warm light for these days. Have a nice week my friend.
Thank you for these rays of warmth and joy on these winter days! Your words and photos remind us how important kindness, mindfulness, and simple pleasures are, they can brighten even the grayest moments.
I missed seeing a photo or two of yours in this post but not a big deal. You post great captions and I love that you take the time to write them out. Happy Christmas 🎄❤️
You are so right Linda...Even though this is the Holiday Season, it is a time when so many people feel lost. Your blog is a wonderful place to come and feel lifted up. Thank you for doing this.
I also like a cheese omlet with tomatoes ! I like a light kitchen in general and eat less and less meat ! Only chicken or turkey. Nice videos and quotes !
The strongest people are the ones who are still kind after the world tore them apart.
I enjoyed the quote above that you shared. It speaks to me.. I was tore down a few years ago, but I was determined NOT to get bitter. Thank you for sharing my friend, Carla
¡me reí a carcajadas!

ReplyDeleteDear Linda, your cheese omelette with slices of tomatoes sound so delicious 😋 I wouldn't need to eat toasts too.
ReplyDeleteThe funeral home in your photo doesn't look anything like a funeral home in my area. It looks like a nice quaint building instead.

ReplyDeleteAlways great quotes!

Your cheese omelette looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThey had to keep the unrolling bag victims to one side so that they couldn't see the pulley wheel and belt.
ReplyDeleteThe cat story was interesting.
I loved the attack cat (what a scary burgler!) and the song at the end the best. :)
ReplyDeleteDead mosquitoes are not a bad thing!
ReplyDeleteKrásná moudra a poučná. U nás jsou záchranné stanice pro zraněné živočichy, např. pro čápy. Omeleta je báječná, u nás jí občas připravuje partner. 👍
