Personal Growth, Kindness
Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to come and visit me here! I really appreciate you all so much!
Here are today's selections, which I hope will brighten your day!

Being strong doesn't mean you don't feel pain. It means you feel it and try to understand it so you can grow from it.
Be like the bird that, passing on her flight awhile on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, and yet sings, knowing that she hath wings. - Victor Hugo
Start asking, "How might I learn and grow from this?"

Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver. - Barbara De Angelis
Be Kind & Co
I know this transformation is painful, but you're not falling apart; you're just falling into something different, with a new capacity to be beautiful. - William C. Hannan
You can't see people's mental health, please be kind, always.
The following photos are my own, which I took on my cellphone in Montreal. You can click on any image to see a larger view. These photos were taken on January 15th. I had an appointment with my rheumatologist and these were taken inside the small clinic while I was waiting for my appointment. I was alone in the waiting room. Yes, my appointment went very well ☺️
These last two photos I took of the ceiling of this small clinic. I thought it was quite pretty to see these lovely murals!
As all of you who visit my blog on a regular basis are aware of, I do not often make any recommendations as to movies or books. I saw a really good movie, which you can find on YouTube, entitled "Panic in the Skies". The cast includes well known actors such as Robert Guillaume, Kate Jackson, Erik Estrada and Maureen McCormick. This movie is said to be based on a true story.
A book that I really love and find very encouraging is entitled, "Bringing Out the Best in People" by Alan Loy McGinnis.
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :)

Linda, thank you for sharing wise quotes, what we all need to start our day! I am glad your visit to the clinic went well. The clinic has a very calming environment. It is rare to see murals on the ceiling of a clinic. I like it! I will take note of the movie and book you mentioned. I remember Erik Estrada from the series CHIPS which I loved as a teenager!
Teachers use those light shades in their classrooms. I've seen both of those before. (They are very nice.) There's also a star filled sky one that I'm partial to. (I don't think those lights are so very bright, but so many do and use the shades to dim them.) You can find them on Amazon (if you're so inclined.
...Kindness makes you the most beautiful person in the world no matter what you look like, amen to this Linda. I hope that you are staying warm and well.
morning greetings from kuala lumpur!! today is a very sunny day here, and hot too. anyway, i choose this quote: Being strong doesn't mean you don't feel pain. It means you feel it and try to understand it so you can grow from it.! indeed! being strong is sometimes the only option that we have. till then, take care dear linda! good to know that your appointment went well. sending warm regards from afar
Dear Linda, good to hear that your appointments went well. 👍 The two murals on the ceiling are so refreshing and green 💚, good for the eyes 👀 Thank you for sharing about panic in the sky and the book. I like Kate Jackson when I watched her acting in Charlie's Angels. That was a long time ago.
Thank you for sharing such positivity, care, and wisdom through your blog every week. It's so uplifting, during these times of uncertainty. God bless you.
Hi Linda, my pick today, love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.
I always want to be in the process of growing up, too, Linda. May we never lose the wonder and innocence of childhood as we show kindness and understanding to others. Blessings!
Oh, this spoke to me..... "Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. - Ronald Osborn" Thank you for sharing.
I'm glad your appointment went well, and the photos from the waiting room are lovely! You've posted some great memes again, and those videos are great too! The film and book recommendation is interesting! Have a good week!hugs Elke
Good morning dear Linda, I am so glad your appointment went well. Those are interesting murals on the ceiling. Yes, kindness matters ♥ I will look for the movie you suggested!
I like this one: What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. - Ralph Walso Emerson I've never seen murals on the wall. I hope you are staying warm!!!!!!!!!!!
To kindness, I´d say! And to smiles. And playing! Always! And murals on the ceiling is a thoightful idea. Thank you, I´ll have a look into the movie When I was a teen they did call me amongst other "pig" due to my nose... and noses... I´ve been in the town where Pinoccio is from. And Adriano Celentano has a song about Pinoccio, too, La ballata di Pinocchio. "Your" song is sweet, too. And cute animals - dear friend Linda, have a good start into the week, much love and warm hugs, it´s freezing over here... 😘
Beautiful words and thoughts and wise, too. ❤️ Not just empty words and slogans. I agree with this one: "Kindness makes you the most beautiful person in the world no matter what you look like." 🧡 So glad your doctor's visit went well 🥰 Bytheway, the stairs for personal growth look like chocolate bars 🤎😀
Waiting rooms in clinics should be a bit warmer; having such beautiful murals is a nice touch. Going to the doctor is generally unpleasant, and creating a more welcoming environment helps patients feel better.
These are such beautiful quotes, Linda. I love these. Stop asking yourself, "Why is this happening to me?" Ask yourself, "How can I learn from this and grow?" I also love the photos. I wish you a wonderful new week. Greetings Irma

ReplyDeleteI love the murals at the rheumatologist. I also see one regularly as I have RA.
Thank you. I really need to be more kind. The current political horridness is making me a mean person.

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot more kindness out there than the news would lead you to believe. At least here in the midwest.
ReplyDeleteKindness does indeed make a person beautiful no matter what they look like! I'll look for that movie. Thanks for the recommendation.

ReplyDeleteThat baby moose is just TOO cute!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Emerson quote. Is that a skylight on your doctor's ceiling, or a painting of some kind?
