Such good things on decluttering. It really does make a difference!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Decluttering is so important and I have been doing so since the beginning of the year. And I am still not done yet! LOL!
ReplyDeleteBoa noite minha querida amiga Linda.
Happiness, like unhappiness, is a proactive choice. - Stephen Covey
ReplyDeleteGuess what I am doing this week - cleaning out my house and thinking positive.
I love the sun is shining through your snow.
And that duck leading the penguins is adorable.
Hi Morning from Malaysia.. keep my self busy with kids.. create the happiness before it time.. ☺️
ReplyDeleteThose red chairs POP outside in the snow LOVE THAT.
ReplyDeleteBack during The Great Declutter of 2016 I got rid of sooooo soooo soooo much stuff. Ten years later, I'm doing another declutter and I tell you, much faster this time AND even though it's less going out compared to then, it's just as powerful. Really, really, REALLY love a good declutter ❤️
The Faulkner quote is so true! I spent years trying to get the right amount of the things I needed, then figured out I was completely in charge of figuring out how much was enough.
ReplyDeleteThere are some great videos this week, so thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteEnough is a decision, not an amount. - Alison Faulkner
ReplyDeleteThis is so very true Linda, and I discover that each and every day.
God bless.
Nice sharing! I haven't decluttering my stuff for ages.. procrastination at its finest! 🤣
ReplyDeletegood morning from kuala lumpur!! today is a bright day here and 5th day of fasting for muslims. anyway, for this entry, i choose this quote: Life truly begins after you have put your house in order....indeed!! house must be clean neat and in order because our home is our heaven ;) take care dear linda--as usual, i love seeing all your snow pics @montreal... i wish i can visit your country...one sweet day :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer that the fewer material things we possess, the happier and more content we are, Linda. And when we freely give of our time and love to one another, the richer we become. Loved the inspiration, your snow photos and the sweet videos, too. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI love the word "proactive", dear friend Linda. And I sure want and need to declutter when back home. Only problem: where to? Post to come when I´m at it and you sure will say: Stupid Germans! But for now much love and warm hugs from Madeley/Perth.
ReplyDeleteDecluttering is my #1 priority. Can't believe how much 'unnecessary' stuff accumulated through the years. Great photos from your area. Love the red chairs in the snow. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLinda reflexion. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteOlá, querida Linda!! Coisa boa ver você bem animada, vejo pelas postagens, eu adorei o Buldog de Skate! Maravilha!
"Enough is a decision, not an amount." -- I like this quotation very much, and I couldn't agree more! That penguin video is too cute!
ReplyDeleteYou have got my number!!! I need to declutter and I needed to start yesterday. Thank you for reminding me in a nice way (unlike my children, lol).
ReplyDelete"When you have less, you have more time to enjoy what you have." That is so true! We started decluttering our household 10 years ago with great results. 💕 We donated this and that to charity (and are still doing that...) There's more space, you find your things more quickly, it's much easier to do the cleaning and it just feels good.
ReplyDeleteLinda, after having seen your video with the enormous tortoise I had a very happy dream of a tortoise 😀💚
Every purr is a reminder that love is in the little things is so true...I get so much joy and contentment when I hear my cat purr. Wishing you an awesome week ahead, Linda.
ReplyDelete"Rest this afternoon". Yeah, I can get behind that sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI remember the feeling of my childhood cat on my lap purring. I loved that it’s so calming!
ReplyDeleteDeclutterring feels so freeing. We have some work to do before Spring! When we remodeled this last summer things got piled up in the family room, much of it needs to go! Sometimes less really is more. Sometimes God leads us to let go of something’s too but He fills those places with something better
There's even a pigeon on the sign. Now I want to know the reason for the name. Maybe pigeons hang out front looking for food scraps.
ReplyDeleteDecluttering is something I do regularly since I moved, and it feels great!
ReplyDeleteYour snow photos and the café are lovely!
It's been raining here since yesterday and again today with strong winds, so I'm enjoying your post in peace and quiet! Thank you!
Have a good time! hugs Elke
Hello Linda!! I loved this quote, "Overthinking is the biggest cause of our unhappiness. Keep yourself occupied. Keep your mind off things that don't help you. Think positive."
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
So true about overthinking! Thank you, Linda.
ReplyDeleteIt's true that just when we think we've exhausted all our options, completely new ones emerge. Have a great week, Linda!
ReplyDeletedrop by your entry and read about decluttering..the things that i'm about really lazy to do but must do...hahahaha...thanks for your comment on one of my blog entry..really appreciated. I have follow your blog...
ReplyDeleteGood morning from here, have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice start to the week, and a good and beautiful Monday. Good morning also to the good and beautiful post ´,~`) Kisses.
ReplyDeleteDes paroles pleines de bon sens.
ReplyDeleteMerci pour ce partage.
Bonne journée Linda
Love to hear a cat purr, and the memes are nice.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the snow stand out in the photo with the red chairs.
Nice post and videos.
Hello dear Linda. I declutter my home twice a year. I like things organized! I LOVE the first quote ♥ Did you go inside the pigeon café? Have a beautiful week and stay warm!
ReplyDeletehi ms LInda, thanks for visiting my portal today., and nice words..
ReplyDeletegreetings from Malaysia ;p
Happy New Week Linda. Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI declutter my tiny cottage on a regular basis. In my previous more opulent life I collected a lot of expensive stuff. And that's exactly what it was stuff! My life in a four room tiny cottage filled with purrs and little else is far more rewarding than my previous more expensive life. I traded money for authencity. I can highly recommend making the swap🦘🐈⬛🐈🦜
ReplyDeleteHi Linda
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week :)
Wish I could get myself to declutter around here
ReplyDeleteThank you once again, Linda. Thank you for the time you take to find all those beautiful quotes and images. Today my choice stays with the following message: “Learn from yesterday, live today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.”
ReplyDeleteI chose it because it slows me down. It puts me back in my place when I am rushing, when I try to control everything or move ahead of what is not yet meant to happen. It reminds me that not everything depends on me and that I also need to pause without feeling guilty.
A big hug.
I so appreciate your inspiration, especially on Monday mornings! I love to declutter, do it regularly, but still am far from a minimalist. 😁
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the Pigeon Café is kind to the pigeons that depend on us for survival, or if they serve pigeon on the menu. 😳
This was such a calm and grounding collection of thoughts. The reminder that creating space, not only in our homes, but also in our minds, allows something gentler and more meaningful to flow in really resonated with me. And of course, the presence of cats makes everything feel a little lighter and more peaceful. Thank you for sharing this quiet moment of reflection.
ReplyDeleteMaximum depth about owned things.
ReplyDeleteHello, Linda
ReplyDeleteI do not like clutter, I am happy with less.
Happiness is a choice!
Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
...living simply is a wonderful thing that many of us have difficulty doing!
ReplyDeleteYour post contains beautiful quotes, Linda. I also enjoyed your photos of lovely corners of Montreal surrounded by snow ❄
ReplyDeleteHave a great new week.
I am the queen of overthinking!!! lol. Love the quotes.
ReplyDeleteVery good reflexions. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteKisses
I popped in to thank you for your kind visit and words at my blog and found a most inspiring post when I arrived, it must have taken you so long to compile but is full of warmth.
ReplyDeleteClearly you too are a lover of animals, I could't imagine life without them, they give so much. My profile picture you mention was Buffy who I lost a good few years ago but have never had the heart to update, she remains in spirit. We lost three of our girls last year, 14.5, 13 and 13 so all had hood lives but makes it no easier to say goodbye. We still have one lab almost 5 and a few weeks back a 16 week lab puppy came to live with us having been treated poorly by the breeder. She's an absolute joy and doing well.
B x
Oh my Betty White, so young and talented. "It's a good day!" I liked your quotes this post and I'll take advice from sleeping dog..."rest/nap in the afternoon."
ReplyDeleteThe "over thinking" one got me! I love the photo of the red chairs in the white snow. You take the best pictures, Linda.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for sharing with us the 3 photos you took on 14 February. The snow on the ground looks so thick and fluffy. Beautiful snow photos.
ReplyDelete“Enough is a decision not an amount.” So concise and brilliant really! I agree!
ReplyDeleteHope nicer weather is coming to you soon, we had a few very cold days and now we are back to plus ten Celsius degrees, and flowers are popping out from the mud.
ReplyDeleteI like this one: "What I know for sure is that when you declutter - whether it's in your home, your head or your heart, it is astounding what will flow into that space that will enrich you, your life and your family. - Peter Walsh"
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Linda
Saludos.
You gave me a little push to start clearing out what I don't use.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are currently replacing the flooring in our home and in the process are discovering things that we no longer need. I've found it very freeing to get rid of items we've held onto for far too long.
ReplyDeleteI can't get myself to meditate every day. :(
ReplyDeleteHi, oh I love all the white cats today. ;-) I think I shared with you about my white cat I had, his name was Fred.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Linda!
Here is to a great week.
Carla
I am going room by room getting rid of things that I either don't need or don't want
ReplyDeleteI like how you always (I think always) start with cats and then usually show a few more.
ReplyDeleteThose are all good ones! We've not gotten the hang of decluttering yet.
ReplyDeleteValentine (red) seats, Linda!
ReplyDeleteWisdom -> The more uncluttered I lived, the more joy I found.
Everybody loves cats!
Lie(f)s.
You've found lots of excellent quotes again. As for decluttering.....I work on that a lot but I am not a minimalist so I keep lots of "stuff".
ReplyDeleteDr Seuss gave me a laugh! I thought the red chairs were so pretty against the white snow. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the penguin video and Betty White. As to decluttering - its funny the mixed emotions that brings up at any point. An ex used to say that the emotions you felt when putting on weight you have to go through again when losing it, and I think that may be the same with accumulating "things"
ReplyDeleteMy house isn't cluttered but I could certainly go through cabinets and closets and get rid of stuff-- before my children get stuck doing it. Every purr and snuggle from my cat shows her devotion to me. She's 14 so I'm happy to still have her.
ReplyDeleteThose red chairs outside the library! They should buy that fro you, enlarge it and frame it for their library. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thoughts to ponder!
ReplyDeleteYour Canadian landscape is a snowy wonderland, Linda. Beautiful ...but just a wee bit chilly for a summery girl, such as I. I do believe the contented purr of a kitty is up there for relaxing one's day. Sending many a hug to you, lovely lady. Take care. Xx
ReplyDeleteI love the red chairs in the snow by the library.
ReplyDeleteThese are great as always. Pigeon Cafe, I love it.
ReplyDeleteTrying to guess where the road is in winter is a Canadian tradition.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I do hope this last week of February has started well for you.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that penguin video wonderful, I did enjoy it and I like your photograph of the red chairs in the snow.
Stay warm and safe.
All the best Jan
Ah, these are all so good. And decluttering...well, that's an ongoing process, one which I am not very good at. Seems as though when I get rid of something, I find something else to fill up the same space. I am working at it little by little, at least in my head. Thank you for the reminders and inspiration. I enjoyed your post today, as always.
ReplyDeleteThis week's theme is very timely, as I have been trying to declutter my belongings.
ReplyDeletethe reflections on decluttering are so true... when we clear space, we make room for better things to enter our lives....
ReplyDeleteIndeed, love is in the little things. Thankyou for these positive affirmations. I need to de-clutter! Enjoy your week and thankyou for visiting my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - I read over on Chrissy's blog that you have never been to a spa. I wish I lived close by - I would whisk you away for a day of pampering.
ReplyDeleteCats provide the purrfect therapy!
ReplyDeletePreciosa creación, amiga
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, hope that you're having a great week so far! Stay warm in this chilly weather.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda again for all the wisdom, pictures and videos! Have a nice week !
ReplyDeleteAgain an inspirating theme, dear Linda! Sometimes we have many things to order on many different places. Before we make by too much hurrying more chaos, we shall meditate about this wise sentence:
ReplyDeleteAlles, was wichtig ist, kommt in Ruhe und Warten. - Patrick Lindsay
I see fine snow and growing light in your region!
Good morning many good quotes here thank you hugs from the lake
ReplyDeleteLearn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon. - Charlie Brown...What a great picture and thought.
ReplyDeleteas always a great post and videos.
ReplyDeleteBuenas citas, sobre gatos, prefiero los perros. Ahora temo encontrarme con un Therian
ReplyDeleteSaludos
beautiful post, thank you
ReplyDeleteI like the first saying about decluttering, I need to do that more, I am a saver of things, especially what has been given me, I can't stand to throw something out that someone either took the time to pick out for me or make me. I love the pic of the red chairs in the snow :)
ReplyDeleteYes, decluttering the mind, and your physical space, is essential! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteI really like the picture you took of the red chairs outside the library.
Great pics and some very inspiring quotes. Clutter- we all have to deal with it..
ReplyDeleteyour photos from Montreal capture simple but meaningful moments... it really reflects the spirit of living intentionally...
ReplyDeletealways a pleasure to visit here...
Kiitos ajatuksia herättävästä postauksestasi Linda.
ReplyDeleteKiitän myös kuvista ja videoista. Voi pientä koiranpenturessukkaa... onneksi "uusi emo" löytyi.
"Enough is a decision, not an amount" I like that.
ReplyDeleteI always find so much inspiration on your blog. These quotes are so spot-on
ReplyDeleteHave a great week :-) so cute cats pictures :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the red chairs in the snow. Striking contrast.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda! Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteBelinda
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteYou have another wonderful blog full of beautiful and informative sayings and gorgeous images. It's always a pleasure to visit here :-)
Sweet kitties! I have “enough” but I have trouble going through clutter to get rid of it. I take a box into charity almost every week, but I need to triple that. I moved from a larger space into a smaller space, and there just isn’t room to put everything.
ReplyDeleteOne of the first books I read by myself was a cat in the hat one. Green eggs and ham. That takes me right back to four or five years of age. Don't remember my exact age but do still remember that book and the pictures inside vividly. The first of many thousand of books read and enjoyed up to the present time.
ReplyDeleteGood photos and quotes Linda :-D
ReplyDeleteOh, that puppy and mom kitty is sooo, sooo sweet. Thank you for sharing.
Gunilla
I try and declutter but our little house is so full of people making the clutter.
ReplyDeleteSpot on, Linda! The more you have the more you have to manage...and that's no fun!
ReplyDeleteCoincidence your uplifting post is about decluttering because I need to work on it. However I'm not Marie Kondo style. I actually need a limited amount of 'mess' around me to inspire creativeness. But to control it currently I focus on getting rid of bigger stuff first, making space. After that I can go micro. Sold another piece of furniture today. Happy.
Beijos do Brasil 🇧🇷 🥰
Lovely quotes and videos. Thank you for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteYour post felt like a gentle exhale. The mix of quotes about clearing space, both inside and out, created a calm rhythm that lingered long after reading. I especially liked how the snowy photos and the bright red chairs echoed that theme of simplicity and focus. The videos added a light, joyful touch, almost like small reminders not to take life too seriously. A lovely, grounding collection.
ReplyDeleteTodos me parecen preciosos. Gracias y muchos besos.
ReplyDeleteI love the Canadian game show!
ReplyDelete
