ReplyDeleteI love the innocence of children.
Yes, I do believe that whimsy, silliness, and play all contribute to creativity, lightness of spirit, and happiness.
ReplyDeleteQue lindo seu cantinho. Bem no capricho. Parabéns pelo blog e o carinho no meu cantinho. A partir de amanhã. Entro na pausa. Um abraço.

I loved the way your eggs looked - makes me want some now.
How sweet the dog leading the blind dog.
Sweet post.
What a lovely breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI'm fortunate enough to be loved by a cat although it took me several months to earn that love. We all need to get in touch with our inner children. Honest emotions and living each moment fully.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world where I want to be happy for no reason! How I loved everything you posted here, Linda. You are an inspiration, especially at the end of a long day. May you always feel the love of God embracing you!
ReplyDeleteSurprised to see that bird actually fly away at the end of that video.
ReplyDeleteI think your post made me smarter
ReplyDeleteThe video of that blind dog with big sister on walk is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love how these quotes encourage us to embrace the joy and authenticity of childhood, and to live fully in the moment. The one about children not having a mental file of ‘all the things that could go wrong’ really made me pause and smile...
ReplyDeleteI love the one about not always rushing to the next moment. The eggs look perfectly done.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, my pick today. Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you're in trouble, because the reason can be taken from you. - Deepak Chopra. Super love the little boy in this poster, he looks so happy and cute. I do not have kids myself but I love little children. By the way, your light breakfast looks yummy, healthy and delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! Diamonds are not a girl's best friend. Diamonds don't equal love. The dog taking the blind dog for a walk is precious.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Reading what is said about children and their happiness, I realize I'm still a child at heart 😀 It's a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS GOOD: "At the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of my life, I want to be able to say that I contributed more than I criticized. " 🌹
Thank you Linda ❤️
This.... "Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you're in trouble, because the reason can be taken from you." - Deepak Chopra

Hi, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post again this month, dear friend! I would describe myself as childlike. It doesn't take much for me to smile, laugh and experience joy, even if I was feeling depressed a moment before. Like a child, I am also insatiably curious, always in search of information to help explain the phenomena I observe. Disliking the word "work," I strive to turn every activity into play. When everything is framed as play, you are motivated to jump in and do it, get things done, and enjoy the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes with completion. "Contribute more than you criticize" is a very useful principle. Think of all the lurkers on social media who spend so much of their lives waiting to pounce, waiting to strike, waiting for the chance to slam someone or something. At the end of the day and at the end of their lives, they have made themselves just as miserable as their targets. "How have you spent your time?" is a question I frequently ask myself. If I don't like the answer, I make necessary adjustments.
Your breakfast looks delicious, Linda! I look forward to my morning coffee and love hot toast on a cold winter's day. The Just For Laughs Gag reminds me that tiny dogs are often more aggressive than larger ones. The video about the blind dog and the puppy that befriended her and guides her brought tears to my eyes. What a great life lesson to know that, when her sightless eyes were removed, the dog became happier and behaved like a puppy again. I was also touched by the story about the tiny yellow bird that flew into a window, was rescued, nursed and released by that caring and compassionate woman. Very uplifting vignette!
I return to blogging with a new post tomorrow, Friday, and hope you can visit me at Shady's Place. Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Linda!
Dear Linda, thank you for sharing the photos of the eggs and bread. Looks so delicious 😋🤤 here people seldom eat rye bread but I love to eat rye bread 😋
ReplyDeleteHope the weather is warmer now that it is getting close to spring
When I was in UK, I look forward to the flowers in spring. The daffodils will be 1st to welcome spring.🌼🪻
...Linda, I try to remember that life isn't a dress rehearsal and that growing up is over rated.

ReplyDeleteThose eggs look lovely, a simple breakfast, but so satisfying. I am glufree so I make oat omellettes in the mornings (an egg, seasonings and six tbsp of ground oats - fry on low heat covered on both sides).
ReplyDeletethere's a child in all of us

ReplyDeleteBreakfast foods are my favorite! I enjoy having breakfast for dinner occasionally. Thank you for sharing some thought provoking memes!
Thank you for another lovely post Linda.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy listening to Jim Reeves, what a warm voice he had.
Hope your week has gone well.
Look after yourself, my good wishes.
All the best Jan
My husband also loves sunny side up eggs, but he has always called them sloppy eggs. He has embarrassed me before when he would order them at restaurants. Ha!

Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you're in trouble, because the reason can be taken from you. - Deepak Chopra
ReplyDeleteThis is si true!
Saludos.
Was NOT expecting the first quote to be from Ray Bradbury - ha!
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind of breakfast I eat and like. Thanks for all the positive words and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo true about children now worrying about what could go wrong. The size of that file grows with age!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteyou've found some really great quotes again. I think I'm very good at sensing and letting my inner child out 😊 and I've always managed to win the friendship of my cats 😻.
It's such a shame I didn't know you better when we were planning our trip to Canada; otherwise, we might have made it to Quebec too. But even when we decided to finally take a vacation to Canada, we knew that the country is far too big to even come close to visiting all the provinces or seeing everything that interested us. So we had to pick out a few highlights. And we really enjoyed the ride. I don't know if we'll ever manage such a big trip again. Right now, we're really enjoying being at home. (Austria is so beautiful, too 🤩.)
All the best from here, Traude
Such lovely quotes of children but it is concerning that in today's world far too many children face a harsh life.

The mix of childlike wisdom, tender animal moments, and reminders to slow down creates such a peaceful pause in the middle of a busy week. I especially loved the thread running through so many of these quotes about curiosity, presence, and letting ourselves feel things honestly. Your breakfast looked wonderfully simple and satisfying too, the kind that makes the whole morning feel grounded. This was a lovely visit.
