The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone. You can click on any image to see a larger view. This first photo is one I took inside our Montreal metro...this is a map of the stations and lines.

Everytime I see birds I want to take a photo! I love them! This was a group of pigeons accompanied by one seagull who decided that he wanted to be part of my  photo shoot! LOL! There is a white pigeon...however, this one has a dark marking on its tail, so it is not totally white. Still, seeing pigeons that are white is not common here.

This last photo is again, a group of pigeons accompanied by a seagull who decided to join them. You will see again the white pigeon, but there is also a brown one! Again, this is not very common here.

Those of you who are regular followers of my blog know that I don't very often make any recommendations as to books, movies or anything else. Today I wanted to tell you about some of my favourite YouTube channels. I will give you the name of each channel and a little about each one as well. I hope you will all enjoy them, I definitely really like these channels! :)
The first one is called Early American. This YouTube channel is great, if you enjoy taking a walk back in time to the early 1800s, seeing how people dressed, lived and cooked in that period, you will really enjoy this channel! They are a young couple with a young child and a black cat!

The second channel is called Mie-Days. This YouTube channel is done by a lady in her 50s who lives in Japan with her husband and daughter. She is a homemaker and if you enjoy cooking, cleaning, organizing and happen to be a cat lover like myself, you will really like her videos. She has 3 beautiful cats!

The third channel is called Friends of Feline Rescue Center
This YouTube channel is different from the above YouTube channels, because it is live...they have the video running all the time. This feline rescue is situated in Defiance, Ohio. All the cats they have are up for adoption. They have a large number of beautiful cats, all different ages, a few are special needs cats. So if you love cats, you can check out this video anytime and see what is going on at this feline rescue center!

You can find any of these channels by typing in the name of the channel on YouTube. I hope you all enjoy these channels (or any one of them!) :)

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy!  :)

Woman spends 92 days saving a sea turtle covered in barnacles (The Dodo)

Mockin' Bird Hill - Patti Page (1951)

Woman goes to get mail, returns with bird (GeoBeats Animals)

  1. I love that you gave up channels that you love. That's what I love about blogging. Sharing things like that. I love the patten at the station. Reminds me of a quilt.

  2. I think a friend of mine follows "Early American". Do you know "Townsend"? That's something similar.

  4. Linda - these are all so good! You gave me lots of smiles. The one of the cat looking disgusted because he's dressed up made me think of what our cat looked like when the kids would do that to him.
Thanks for the youtube suggestions, will check them out.

  5. Lots of great quotations in this post -- had a good laugh at the millionth cute cat costume photo! And I loved the video about Firefox the gorgeous rainbow parrot! I've always loved Patti Page's voice so it was great to hear "Mockingbird Hill" again, thanks.

  9. I met my late partner before the internet was used by the general public. I would have never gotten into a relationship with him if I put Will Ferrel's line to the test.
    The turtle story was uplifting.

  10. What a gorgeous post my lovely friend. Had a few titters to myself 😆 My kitty kids absolutely HATE being dressed up, and that photo pretty much sums up the looks they give when I do so 😽
Really intrigued about seeing the station map, I might take myself on a little Google journey searching all the stations. And so glad you love pigeons 🐦 they are such gentle little souls.

  17. Dear Linda, thank you for your 3 own photos.
It must be convenient to move around Montreal using the metro system.
Yes, I can see the white pigeon with a bit of dark colour on its tail.
I seldom pay attention to pigeons so I don't know mostly what colour they are here.
    Have a good week ahead 💕💕 😊

  18. I wonder if Edgar Bergan said that by way of Charlie McCarthy.

My fave is the smile quote.. a smile makes two.
    Happy Monday, Linda!

  35. Dear Linda, your posts are always full of positive things that instantly lift the mood, even on a cloudy day. This time, I was especially charmed by the quote: “People who wonder whether the glass is half empty or half full miss the point. The glass can be filled.” — it is so beautifully said.

Together with Marta, we watched the story of the lovely little parrot. She was lucky to find such wonderful people who love her and who receive so much joy from her. Marta says that since these birds are registered, someone probably smuggled her illegally, and that’s why no one is looking for her.

It’s a similar story to mine and Buffy’s, which I mentioned at the end of my last post — that she was my Easter gift. It seems that sometimes you just have to find each other at the right place and time… and that’s where happiness 😘👍🫶 !

  36. What a good laugh :D Indeed sanity comes with a good laugh and sleep!
Oh, I am going to use that one "You can see me?" Just loved it!
I have learnt that discipline takes us where motivation can't ;)
My fake plants look good, so I guess I pretend I water them eheheh!
That photo of the Montreal subway brings memories of our journey there in 2004!
    Have an awesome week!

  43. Las frases geniales como de costumbre, pero he de decir la imagen del gato preparado para la foto y el de la de aquel que pone la misma cara al ver una polilla o un asesino, me parecen fantasticas.

  51. Dear Linda, "A smile is the only language that needs no translator and never goes out of fashion". I couldn't help sharing this phrase with you because I can see that the smile is the common thread running through your photographs, and rightly so. I have seen people smile in the worst moments of their lives and I have always thought that there is something very powerful inside that is not easy to explain. I hope that your life and mine are full of those smiles that come on their own, the ones that are not looked for but just appear. May there be many.
