The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone on a cloudy day. They are not very good photos, but I just wanted you all to see that the flowers are starting to bloom here in Montreal. I took these photos on May 5th!
I wanted to emphasize in this photo the clouds in the sky and these two trees. One is just starting to get its buds, the other the leaves are starting to bloom.
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)

Hi Linda! Quotes 1 and 3 made me laugh! I love the photos of the blooming flowers. They will be beautiful in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteThis quote...
ReplyDelete"Wherever you are, at any moment, try and find something beautiful. A face, a line out of a poem, the clouds out of a window, some graffiti, a wind farm. Beauty cleans the mind." - Matt Haig, Reasons to Stay Alive
I need this reminder right now.
ReplyDeleteThe most important decision you could ever make is to be in a good mood. HOW TRUE!
Your red flowers are starting to grow.
You're overcast too? This is the time of year where our mornings are mostly overcast, though the sun broke through this afternoon.
ReplyDelete"Beauty cleans the mind" -- yes, I believe that is true! Always look for beauty around you, in whatever form it may take!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are perfectly fine and get the message across.
ReplyDeletei connected with several of these quotes today!! isn't it wonderful to see flowers, sun or no sun, they are a welcome sight!! i have lots of flowers blooming in my yard as well!!
ReplyDeleteSome good advice! Have a great day, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are so pretty. I think we skipped the tulip stage this spring. It was crazy warm way too early, and then we turned cooler than normal for weeks. I barely saw my daffodils. I don't think I saw a single tulip this spring.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely to see the flowers are beginning to bloom. I hope you are enjoying some nice weather as well. Wonderful selection of quotes , Linda. I loved the one by Lucille Ball. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, thank you for such a lovely and uplifting post! I especially loved the quote 'Beauty cleans the mind' by Matt Haig. It’s a great reminder for us to find beauty in the little things. Also, your photos of the blooming flowers in Montreal are wonderful spring is definitely a beautiful season...it's tulip right? Have a great day Linda
ReplyDeleteBlooming flowers are so therapeutic, as is walking. Beauty is everywhere; I love looking for it in the small things. Sometimes it's easy to miss it because we're looking at the big picture and not the details.
ReplyDeletegood afternoon dear linda. it's lunch hour now here in malaysia..i have class at 2 pm..right now i'm having quick lunch, i tried to have clean eating this week ie reduce sugar and carbo intake. anyway for this entry, i choose this quote: Overthinking will destroy your mood. Breathe and let it go.... and i love the pic flowers! they look like tulips..are they really tulips or some other types of flowers? take care dear linda
I have found this to be true in my life: "Beauty cleans the mind." 💚 When I see or hear bad things, ugly things, I listen to uplifting music or read or watch something beautiful. It erases the ugly away. It really does. A good way to stay happy and productive.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I especially loved this quote: “Wherever you are, at any moment, try to find something beautiful.”
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I believe that some people, even while going through difficult moments, still keep that ability to notice a flower, a cloud, or a small detail in the day. And that is also a form of strength.
And thank you as well for always sharing your photos and videos. They bring a real sense of calm and closeness. Seeing those flowers beginning to bloom in Montreal felt genuinely hopeful.
A big hug for you, Linda.
Wonderful post! I absolutely love the quote about finding beauty in the little things. Wishing you a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteMoin Dear Linda,
These are all such touching quotes and messages—so helpful for understanding various illnesses. Thank you so much, Linda.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of the flowers and the sky are so beautiful!
Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Elke
Beautiful harmony Linda ´,~`)
ReplyDeleteGood and beautiful day in beauty of verb to be.
Beijinhos.
Yes, we need to open ourselves to beauty -- and kindness. This poor old world needs a lot more of that.
ReplyDeleteNow ain't that true: Good food is good mood.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish I was like Data from Star Trek and could turn my emotional chip off.
Ah such pretty flowers… tulips maybe?
Have a nice weekend!
These are all such lovely quotes and photos 🥰🥰🥰
ReplyDeleteBreathe and let it go ... sometimes I wish that were easier. I'm such a natural overthinker, but I try to work on that. Happy weekend, Linda!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty flowers and all the inspiring words. Take care, enjoy your day!
I laughed at good food is good mood. I thought it was chocolate that put you in a good mood
ReplyDeleteGood quotes and most are very true. Just for laughs was good and the last two videos, wonderful, Linda.

ReplyDeleteI am thinking that even a troubled mind could be taught to look and find some beauty in the moments. .
ReplyDeleteGreat post loved the Lucile Ball quote, Greaaaat videos,
ReplyDelete...Linda, thanks for the Matt Haig quote, I'd like to use that in the future. Be well and merry!
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of overthinking! Spring has sprung in your area. I love the tulips, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI think we all "overthink" things. I know I do. Thanks for all the inspiring quotes, photos, and videos! Blessings!! xo
Saludos.
I choose a good mood and to see the beauty in life each and every day. Thanks for the inspiration, Linda, and for your lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteNever play cat and mouse games if you're a mouse. - Don Addis :) Thanks for making my day. That's a great thought.
ReplyDelete"The key to emotional enlightenment is the knowledge that only your thoughts can affect your moods." - this is the best for me today.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the one with the definitions of different mental problems.
Good Thoughts in all your posts, thanks a lot!!!!! It´s a surprise listening "Song Sung Blue", one of my very prefered songs in my life!!!!!!! 🤗
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Linda. These are great. I love the Lucille Ball quote. Clever woman, I really liked her stuff and watched the reruns of I Love Lucy in the late 80s early 90s. :-D
ReplyDeleteThose are really good and there are lots of fun ones!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, so many good ones again. :-) Thank you for sharing the tulips, you know how I love flowers.
ReplyDeletexo
Every day has some good in it. :)
ReplyDeleteI already forgot tulips LOL we are at the iris and English dogwood blooming stage now.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, I enjoyed all of these.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite the mixture of quotes this post. Those of 'beauty' the loveliest. Living in the tropics, I can only just begin to imagine the joy of seeing flowers open in spring.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see the tulips in bloom over there, Linda. Thank you for sharing your photos. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, you always share so many really good, common sense, quotes. I find myself sending a few from each post to kids..and I love those tulips! They're my favorite flower! 🌹
ReplyDeleteNice, Linda, your flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh..., no... , my house...
Lie(f)s.
Yes, to choosing to be in a good mood! We can make our days better by our attitude!
ReplyDeleteCats are extremely intuitive and always know what's needed. Miss Bear and Charlie also know if I am down or unwell. And their purring, kneading and cuddles are the best cure for anything.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos. Glad some colour is finding it's way to your city again 🌸
It's always nice to see a dog story with a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteI love Neil Diamond, grew up listening to him.
ReplyDeleteTaking a walk even in the house lifts my mood. Outside is best but when the weather is bad, inside works.
God bless.
So many positive vibes Linda. What an uplifting post. I love it. I'm about 5 hours south of you in New Hampshire. There's lots of bears down here, and I can't imagine that there aren't any to walk over the border. But I can see in Montreal why you wouldn't see any. And I course black bears aren't as aggressive as grizzleys or brown bears, Or at least they're usually not. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures with the quotes, and how lovely that the flowers are blooming again at your place this season. All your photos were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMucha sabiduría emocional.
ReplyDeleteBuenos consejos para vivir mejor.
Gracias por compartirlos.
These are wonderful quotes, and I loved the photos of the flowers! The video with the German Shepherd is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you for comment and visist my blog, greetings from WARSAW,Poland
ReplyDeleteThat made me smile about the turkeys in Montreal and people taking photos. They are big funny looking birds, aren't they? I often take photos of them too. I bet Montreal would be a little too populated for a bear. That is good. I don't mind seeing them but they can be a major pain too. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead.
ReplyDeletesome very good advice today! Thanks Linda for all the inspriration
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda,

ReplyDeleteA lot of inspiration today with your quotes, and it's time to celebrate spring finally coming to Montreal. Enjoy the beauty!
ReplyDeleteLoved this, Linda! I really liked the Matt Haig quote, and now I'm going to have to get his book "Reasons to Stay Alive." I enjoyed his book "The Midnight Library" so much. That poor little German Shepherd. I can't understand how people can be cruel to animals. And that rascal donkey. Obviously he loved his friends! Your tulips are beautiful, and so is that sky! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspirational quotes. Lovely photos as always, have a great weekend, Linda.
ReplyDeleteHaving to walk never puts me in a better mood. I only do it because the dog needs to go out. lol Loved all of these.

I do believe that a positive attitude is very important for sure, that gets everyone else in a positive mood also! So exciting when the buds come out in the spring time and the flowers start to bloom :)
ReplyDeleteI like Lucille Ball's quote on staying young.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely long weekend.

ReplyDeleteI like your sky shot showing the 2 trees. It's so interesting to see the difference between different species of trees and how quickly some leaf out while others take their sweet time!
