The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone in a Montreal park. This is the last of the series from this beautiful park, continuing (and ending in this post) from my last two blog posts. I have no idea what the plants, trees or flowers are called, I just found them beautiful. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
A beautiful marble picnic table.
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)

My priority in life is peace. If more humans stopped doing and wanting all the time the world would be a more peaceful place. The plants in your parks are far different to here and the UK.
Somewhere along the way we learned that a peaceful life is far more valuable than a busy one. I like this one - it's true. Peace is important. I think that the photos you take with your phone are beautiful. Liked that second photo of the red plant.
Hello Linda! Peace is precious. Mayhem and chaos is destructive! Oh, I love the quotes and your photos. The plant in the 4th photo (with red flowers) looks familiar. I have seen it before. If I do come across it again, I will snap a photo and share.
I think my favourite meme today is the one about the two kinds of tired: the kind that needs rest, and the one that needs peace. So true, at least for me. Have a great week ( I hope it's not too hot).
Dear Linda, thank you for the 5 photos. I like the 4 photo, how you frame the flowers with lots of blue blue sky, so beautiful 😍❤️ Have a good week ahead! 😊
morning greetings from kuala lumpur. i'm back! arrived home last nite. for today, i choose this quote: There are two types of tired: one that requires rest, and the other that requires peace....right now i'm slightly tired but today is a working day, so need to set my mind and focus on work! i like all the plant pictures that u took and share here! take care dear linda!
If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner-Nelson Mandela. It's amazing that this peacemaker was imprisoned for 27 years!!!
I would like to work with my enemies (if I had any) but would also like it if they would work with me. It's a two way street in my opinion. I try for peace of mind and sometimes achieve it. :)
Thank you for brighting up my day, Linda! This post is a beautiful reminder to slow down and find inner peace. Sending you warm wishes for a great week
Yes, you know I love the cats!! Yes, to ice cream!! Yes, to peace in life! Great photos of the plants you saw. I don't kow what they are either! I LOVE the boogie-woogie video. I watch it on YouTube often! How fun! Nice trumpet and cows! Good stuff, my friend!! xo
Thank you for sharing, Linda. The photos in Montreal Park are beautiful! Not sure if you know this or not, but you can search on Google using Google Lens and it will identify the flowers for you, if you’re interested. I hope you have a great week ahead. Belinda
I love this There are two types of tired: one that requires rest, and the other that requires peace. Thank you, Linda, for sharing. :) Have a good week ahead.
I’m tired of our cold weather, and now the heat is coming—phew... Inner peace is always so important; it makes it easier to connect with other people! Such lovely quotes and great, funny videos. Your own photos are interesting—it’s fascinating to see what it looks like there! Have a wonderful few days! Hugs, Elke
What a lovely collection, dear Linda. Especially the thought that there are two kinds of tiredness really resonated with me. Your photos from the park also radiate a wonderful sense of peace and calm. Greetings from Germany, Nicole.
Dear Linda, this Montreal park must be a very big park to have so many types of plants and flowers and to be maintained so well. You are so blessed to be able to go to such a big nice park. Enjoy! 😊
Good morning Linda, A life without busyness and stress is a life that is immensely rich. Always being busy does something to us humans that is not good. And regarding peace, all those wise people like Nelson Mandela, John Lennon, and more. They are right. It is just that the aggressive leaders should listen to them for once. I wish you a nice week.
I chose the Hermann Hesse quote: “Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” Perhaps because I value those places more and more as the years go by, even when they are not physical places. Sometimes they appear in a park, sometimes in a quiet conversation, or simply in a moment of silence. Your photographs convey exactly that. You don’t need to know the name of every tree or flower to appreciate what you captured. A big hug.
Let's keep calm. Nice peaceful thoughts ☘️ How enjoyable. This is true: "Somewhere along the way we learned that a peaceful life is far more valuable than a busy one." 💕
Hello, Linda Great post! I like all the quotes on peace. All I need is a peaceful life. Pretty plants and photos. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
This was so much fun. I was watching the cows and the trumpet, the crow, and pigeon and the cat, and so much happiness. This was a great way to start my Monday morning. Thank you. Yes, give "peace a chance".
Good Morning Linda...Happy Monday.... Beautiful photos!! And yes...I enjoyed reading the meme about being tired. Correct...there are two different kinds of tired... REST and PEACE..both of these are so important for us all. blessings.
Have a wonderful week ahead. 😊 If we brought our little boy to that park, I honestly do not think we would ever leave! We love nature as well, and it looks so beautiful and well cared for. And it is true especially during the summer, life somehow feels a little more beautiful.
To staying in the moment, dear friend Linda. To baby-steps. I hate waiting... I sure love crows and I live with a (now too old) firefighter :-) And, boy, is that pigeon busy! Wish we could dance... oh, I love cows, too! It sure is a wonderful world! Much love and "warm" hugs from cold Germany sent over.
Give peace a change, Linda. Yes! In a war of blood, genocides, cruelty, we have to demand PEACE as the old those days in sixties. A very strong message, my dear.
I always enjoy reading your thoughts and discovering the beautiful things you share. The photos are wonderful and create such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for taking the time to put this together and for giving us a little moment of inspiration. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
Ich überlege, wie viel Arbeit du investierst, um uns immer wieder mit Bildern und guten Gedanken zu versorgen. Vielen Dank dafür. Der Montag fängt mit deinen Beiträgen sehr harmonisch an.
'Peace does not come from controlling the world', how very true! These are a wonderful collection, Linda. Your plant images are very similar to our gardens.
I believe that first plant is like one we have on the side of our porch and I have no idea what it is called either. I like the one about two types of tired, I never thought about it that way. I hope your week is off to a good start!
I know some people who feel they must be busy every day. I guess that's just how they are made up, but I'm with Snoopy. And yes, ice cream is the tastiest, even if you're a kitty. Thanks for so many wonderful quotes. And happy new week to you.
There are two types of tired: one that requires rest, and the other that requires peace. Hi Linda, I loved the one above, thank you so much for sharing! Have a great week!! xo Carla
Crows are amazing. There's one documentary that we've watched multiple times. :) One test involved people wearing masks in which some were disruptive and rude to the crows, others nice. It's a good thing the humans wore disguises because otherwise they would be dive bombed by the birds anytime they neared, probably for the rest of their lives (!).
Thank you for all these great quotes and your ever kind comments on my humble blog. Be well, my dear.
Peace is beautiful and nurturing, for example in nature. The best inner peace is given by Jesus, it is a lasting sense of security. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day!

I so enjoyed both the pigeon and crow videos. I have heard of crows giving thank you gifts but not to that extent! (They also pass along info on people who are nice or mean to them to their offspring, which is also amazing). I loved the quotes about the two types of tired and the quote from Nelson Mandela.
Peace sounds lovely, Linda...both inside ourselves and within the world. I guess there's always the hope that someday we'll get both. I hope you have a lovely weekend my friend!
Feelings are something you have; not something you are. - Shannon L. Ander. I had to really think about this one. The photos from the park are lovely. You have a great place to visit.
This medley has such a soothing flow, and the focus on peace feels especially meaningful. The quotes you chose work together beautifully, each one adding a different shade of calm and perspective. Your photos from the park are lovely and bring a sense of quiet that complements the message of the post. The mix of thoughtful words, nature, and lighthearted videos creates a comforting balance that makes the whole entry feel restorative.
