Just to Share Some Things (Comments Off)

Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to visit me here! I really appreciate you all so much!

My regular blog post is here  Beauty in Life

Those of you who are regular followers on my blog know that I always allow comments on my regular posts. This particular post is just to share some things that I am feeling and experiencing in my life right now.

I am very grateful to have an air conditioner in my apartment!
Well, we are experiencing a heat wave here in Montreal, Canada, with temperatures rising to 40 and 45 Celsius
(104 to 113 Fahrenheit) on some days! I know, however, that we are not alone! Many across the globe in various countries are also dealing with this intense heat and humidity. Please stay cool and safe, drink plenty of water and try to stay in an air conditioned environment if you are able to, at least for a few hours a day. I know for some people, complaining helps them to get things off their chest and this is great! I am only speaking for myself here...complaining about things that I have no control over (such as the weather) just depresses me. LOL! Well, that's just me.  :)

As far as my difficulty with swallowing and the chronic cough, I still have not heard anything yet as far as an appointment with a gastroenterologist goes. I already had two appointments in the last few months...one was an X-Ray on my throat and chest, which showed nothing abnormal. The other test was a barium swallow, which also showed nothing abnormal. Now I am patiently waiting to get a call for an appointment with a gastroenterologist, which has thus far been 3 months waiting. As most of you know, the medical field has been experiencing very long wait times for appointments as well as even in emergency situations due to budget cuts, staff shortages and whatever else.
So I thought I would just update you all on this.

As far as the heat and humidity goes, I personally cannot handle this type of intense heat. I am very grateful that I have an air conditioner in my apartment. I have been pre-diabetic for about 10 years. And according to my mother who told me this decades ago (she died in 1983 when I was just 26...she was 67), even when I was a baby I would sweat in this type of heat, and she would take a facecloth, put it into cold water and run it across my neck down my back, and on my forehead. So I have always been this way, just unable to take this type of heat. And I am sure you have all noticed my delay in responding to your blogs. This heat is making me pretty tired! (even though I drink a lot of water)

I drink plenty of water and try to stay in the cool air conditioning as much as I can, and only go out when I really need to, and take precautions if and when I do.
I don't take my beloved nature walks in this heat, I just cannot handle it. So my walking is done indoors such as in my apartment, doing cleaning and organizing, and in a shopping mall. Of course these walks are not as therapeutic as my walks in nature; however, they are better than no walking at all. (and safer, too)

Last but certainly an unfortunate factor that we Bloggers have been dealing with over the last few months. The Blogger news feed is still experiencing delays in our blog posts appearing. Although our new posts appear on the blog itself on time, this is not the case in the news feed. So this is why in all of my posts now I let you all know when my new blog post will appear ON MY BLOG so that you will all know that, even if you do not see it in your news reader, you will know what time it will be on my blog itself. Some have been having issues with comments. Thankfully I have not! However, my blog posts appearing in a timely fashion in the news reader has been a factor! Sometimes 15 minutes later, an hour later, several hours later or even not at all in some cases. I know some of you have also been experiencing these issues.

Thank you all so much for listening, and for your love and support, I really appreciate each and every one of you!

My next post will appear on my blog on Sunday at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
