Purrs of Wisdom with Ingrid KingA cat's kind of wisdom. People wait all day for bedtime, all week for the weekend, all year for a break, all their lives for "someday". But your cat? They nap when they're tired, purr when they're happy and chase joy now. Maybe they're onto something.

Montreal has a beautiful glassed-in conservatory full of gorgeous plants! Very similar to our Muttart (glass) pyramids conservatory here in Edmonton!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration, and great photos!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, excellent post Linda-I appreciate the time it took to put this all together Loved the flowers too
ReplyDeleteOur cool down is beginning-finally-smiles
Kathy
The video you shared proves that laughter is contagious, Linda, no matter where you are. What fun! I loved your photos of the flowers, too, and I think you may have identified them correctly. My dad was a botanist, and I wish I had paid more attention to his knowledge when I had the chance. Have a blessed week!

ReplyDeleteI like a lot of those! My favorite tonight is - Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude (and my mouth shut) while waiting! I NEED TO LEARN PATIENCE.
ReplyDeleteI am also like you - I don't know the names of the flowers, but I do know they are pretty.
So many beautiful words of wisdom. :) A lovely post! All the best for a beautiful week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes! I love esp. the one with the patience!
ReplyDeleteSo much here to love. The rats are unreal. I love the pink flowers. My other favorites are ...what happened is done, and the quote from Healthy Place.
ReplyDeleteVery true on not letting what I can't do get in the way of what I can. I love that. Love the flowers too. Sooooo fun to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like the Jimmy Buffett quote best. Those lilies are Arum lilies, not Calla. And yes, the yellow flower is a Hibiscus. I love a good sized greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the Westmount Greenhouse are so beautiful! The posting is wonderful , all the fun and Something to think about and fulfill for the soul! Thank you and have a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeletehugs Elke
I love all your quotes, Linda. So much wisdom! The first big pink flower is called Aechmea, I think the pink flower is a Gerbera, the red/ pink one is an Anthurium/ Flamingo flower, the big pink flower is a Medinilla, the red one is a amaryllis, and the yes it'a hibiscus! Thank you for the lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I could spend hours in the greenhouse because I love plants! I even spotted a banana tree. The flowers are so lovely. Love the quotes and my favorite has to be Karen Salmansohn's. Oh... those rats are nothing like the ones I see at the back alley of my office and sometimes near my home! Laughter is indeed infectious and I do love a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate your inspiring post, words to live by, Choose joy and be happy now. The greenhouse plants are lovely. Take care, enjoy your day!
I know I should make nice comments on your memes and photos but I can't get past the first and third video clips. So funny. How come when I put money in a donation box, I don't get such thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, what an amazing collection of quotes! Once again I am in agreement with Jane Goodall. I love the tropical plants and flowers in the greenhouse, especially the yellow hibiscus! Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteI do like the greenhouse photos.
ReplyDeleteI love these quotes. Have you read the Dali Lama's cat? Have a lovely week and thankyou for visiting my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely and inspiring
ReplyDeleteA nice selection of memes again. That is such a pretty greenhouse. It would be fun to walk through there and see all that they had
ReplyDeleteI failed at your challenge. I got weak in my knees and I am shivering. Luckily I stop short of wetting my pants. Now I hope 🤞 I don't get nightmares 😭 🥶
ReplyDeleteI would like to visit the Westmount Greenhouse. When I was visiting my aunt in Vancouver more than 10 years ago, my aunt took us to the Butchart Gardens which was really lovely. We even had to take a ferry there.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a greenhouse like that since I departed the UK for life in Australia. Such a beautiful sight. And cat wisdom, is the best kind of wisdom. I do tend to be very cat like myself, mine have trained me well. 😂🤣
ReplyDeleteThanks for once again featuring Jane Goodall, one of the great figures of my lifetime, a person for whom I have unbounded admiration.
ReplyDeleteGod memes and nice photos that you took, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThe videos are good as usual :)
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteKaren Salmansohn wrote a great quote. She draws special attention to thoughts and emotions in our present, as the past might infringe on our present.
I'd like to visit Westmount Greenhouse. Lovely photos.
Have a nice day ☀
Westmount Greenhouse looks so lovely. In Singapore, we have the Marina Bay Sands Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome which is air conditioned and like a Green House too. There was a Tulipmania Flowers Exhibition in this Conservatory once and I visited it with my Buddy, it was a wonderful experience.
ReplyDeleteThe Gag video and the "laughter in the train" video make me giggle and laught, laughter is the best medication, thank you for sharing and making my day wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse photos give me a faint niggling of memory.
ReplyDeleteLoving all the quotes and furry purry (kittens/cats) pictures, feel like patting them. My picks would be Karen Salmansohn's, The Latest Kate and A cat's kind of wisdom (I had read something similar to this somewhere). Once again, thanks dear!
ReplyDeleteI love rats, highly intelligent little things. I'd love them as a pet but best not as I have 6 cats! Lovely photos you have taken :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat uplifting quotes. The lion one made me think of my daughter, she is nearly 7. She is loud but when she is quiet I worry as she's up to something haha!
Linda the greenhouse photos are lovely. So enjoyed seeing the rat video. I know they are extremely intelligent animals. Just prefer they don't live at my house :)!! Lovely quotes and kitty pics. Thank you for blessing us with your uplifting posts. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the uplifting, encouraging and inspirational post, Linda. The greenhouse is massive and they have some beautiful plants. I've never seen a hibiscus that color...it's gorgeous. Enjoy your day :)
ReplyDeleteSim concordo com você nunca devemos ter medo de fazer certo para uma pessoa ou animal, Linda boa quinta-feira bjs.
ReplyDeleteTo walk through a garden of flowers, like those at the Westmount Greenhouse, would be a whole week's worth of delight wrapped into one day! How beautiful, Linda! That little kitty in "Hope is the spark...." looks exactly like my sweet Goldie. Awwww!! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteMy favorite saying was...In a world gone mad sometimes...be the reason others believe kindness still exists.
ReplyDeleteI had a pet rat when I was young and they are so smart and cuddly.
Thanks for the inspiration and the photos. Haven't been in Montreal in too long and so enjoyed the virtual visit.
ReplyDeleteThere's always something cheerful on this Blog. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
useful quote, at least for me: "Hope is the spark that ignites our heart, even when the world seems to dim its light."
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day
The fun and joy, as well as wisdom, you share here is much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteHope is seeing light in your heart, when all your eyes can see is darkness :)
ReplyDeleteThe patience one is really good and funny :)
Ahahah I would also be startled with the donation choir :D
Laughing is contagious and we know it ;)
Have a great weekend!
Dear Linda, you have a beautiful greenhouse! I think those red flowers are anthuriums; in Poland they are often sold in flower shops, and people like them because they last a very long time in a vase — even a whole month. You just need to change the water frequently and trim the stem a little each time. It’s wonderful that the weather is more pleasant now and it’s easier to breathe while going for walks. Sending hugs!
ReplyDeleteSo nice, Linda, the Greenhouse and 'your' pictures! Fantastic 'Laughs'!
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
Thanks for these uplifting quotes, they are so nice to see and read.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous greenhouse! And the flowers are beautiful - whatever their names are :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful mix of inspiration and beauty. I love how you weave uplifting quotes with glimpses of nature and humor it makes the post feel both comforting and joyful. The Westmount Greenhouse photos are charming, and your curiosity about the plants invites interaction. This is the kind of post that brightens a reader’s day while encouraging reflection and a smile.
ReplyDeleteI've been there, I've read it, and I really like your blog. Best regards.
ReplyDeleteSome great quotes and beautiful greenhouse pictures!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteI do hope you've been enjoying the week.
Many thanks for the quotes and memes.
I did enjoy the "Long Steven, Rain" video ... and goodness me we could do with so me of that rain in my part of the UK :)
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
What a lovely green house. You are so very lucky to be able to visit such a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Those are all so good!
ReplyDelete“What happened is done.” So important to remember!
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely thoughts and beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and quotes!
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful flowers. I look forward to seeing more of what Montreal has to offer.
ReplyDeleteLong Steven is hilarious. As for the rats....I still think they're creepy.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
The rats reminded me of Jerry in the cartoon show "Tom and Jerry". I love how hilarious and intelligent Jerry was but I don't like rats in real life lol !
ReplyDeletelovely flowers .... beautiful.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing useful quotes and interesting videos.
Hello there in Montreal, You got a good weather today. Here it's very cloudy and drizzling a bit. The temperature won't rise above 19 degrees. You shared some very nice quotes. When I have transportation, I also visit botanical gardens. There are always exceptionally beautiful flowers and plants to admire there. I have written and shared about some of them, and there are also some in my YT channel's parks and gardens playlist. I'm also not very good at plant names, but the first one is a banana plant, which can grow very tall. I once posted the video The Joy of Laughter under a poem on my other website, and it's still lovely to watch. You can't help but laugh along with it, haha. Thank you very much for your comment on the nature website. I will now respond with the link to my other website. Have a wonderful weekend, Greetings, Tine from the Netherlands
ReplyDeleteYour posts always remind me to pause and enjoy the little things. This was lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post—full of beauty, joy, and gentle wisdom. The greenhouse photos are gorgeous (I think you’re right about the Calla Lilies!), and the videos made me smile. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe quotes are very nice, and your photos too !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers and nice quotes! Hugs from Poland ♥️
ReplyDeleteIt's good to be back visiting you, Linda. I have missed your wonderful and thoughtful quotes and photos.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the Westmount greenhouse photos and all the plants.
Have a lovely weekend.
So many appropriate quotes. That laughing video is just bizarre, but true. Cute video of the rat, but still not a fan.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by again!! So many of those quotes spoke to my heart this week...And what lovely pictures of a stunning greenhouse... Thanks fo sharing!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Saludos.
I enjoyed all of those, and the photos. The second one, The Royal Leo describes me, and I am a Leo! A cat's kind of wisdom reminds me of something I was told as a child. When I was wishing for tomorrow, later in the day, or a holiday would be taking and wishing it would come sooner my nan said to me, "Don't wish your life away." I have always remembered that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog.
Be careful when I'm silent! Love it! The gag video is so funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat graphics with great little messages, today my favorite is the one from Karen Salmansohn. I enjoyed the videos too, It seems laughter really is contagious☺♥
ReplyDeleteCat quotes and flowers! What a perfect way to start a Friday!
ReplyDeleteAnother heartwarming post, Linda. Thank you! I can find a lot of things by searching with Google Images. I upload a picture into the search box, and I can often find out what something is. Like the pink flower below your calla lily is Medinilla magnifica, also known as the Showy Medinilla or Grape Rose. Happy weekend, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and lovely words. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks for the uplifting post. So many beautiful blooms in the greenhouse!
ReplyDeleteThese greenhouse flowers are beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother delightful series dear friend. You took great photos of those beautiful flowers at Westmount Greenhouse. Thank you for all the effort it takes to your posts together, a labor of love I’m sure. The videos are wonderful along with all the inspirational messages. Aren’t those rats amazing? Everything is a smile bringer here Linda. All good medicine for the soul. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI must tell you- read your blog profile and I think we must soul sisters. Every word you wrote, could apply to me, except I am Anerican. We are even the same age! If you tell me you have an April birthday, that would really be something! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat positive quotes. We need more kindness, peace within ourselves, and positive things we say and do for others!
ReplyDeleteI am with you, I do not know the name of many flowers, but I enjoy them very much, so many different ones all over the world!
Thanks for dropping into my humble spot in the websphere, Linda. Loved your series of wise sayings and calming photos. I particyularly approve of "Never, never be afraid to do what's right" - so many people aren't brave enough to live by that. They just want a quiet life - and that's when the trouble starts! All the best! x
ReplyDeletebonsoir mon amie il fait tard je vient a petit pas te souhaite une nuit a demain gros bisous
ReplyDelete:0 Thanks for the positive words:)
ReplyDeletelots of fun and joy!! the goodall quote is a favorite. i left a comment previously but i don't see it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda - some fun quotes and pics, let alone the videos. But I love the ones of Westmount Gardens, must be a great place to visit. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteAnimals make life more fun and beautiful. The Hibiscus flower looks like it, but the leaves not really.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collection of memes. The Jimmy Buffet quote is one of my favorites. Beautiful greenhouse pics! I enjoyed all of them. The red ones are anthurium, not calla lilies.
ReplyDeleteYour post feels like a warm hug for the soul—so many thoughtful quotes, gentle reminders, and bursts of joy. The greenhouse photos are stunning, and I love how you invite us into your curiosity about the flowers. That blend of humor, heart, and nature makes this space truly special. The cat wisdom especially made me smile—such a sweet nudge to live in the moment.
ReplyDeleteBom sábado e bom final de semana, minha amiga Linda. Obrigado por cada comentário. Falta pouco para terminar o inverno no Brasil e Rio de Janeiro.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the quotes and photos - have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSome good quotes. Yes calla lilies.
ReplyDeleteAlways special to visit. The 'thank you' video is fabulous. The reactions so completely realistic. A wonderful visit to the Greenhouse. The first image could be a part of my garden. I have all 3 flowers growing, but not together.
ReplyDeleteLight pink front is pentas - hardy perrenial that flowers most of the year.
Middle red - bromeliad, super hardy and multiplys regularly.
RHS - geranium, perrenial and survives dry conditions.
Linda, the Westmount Greenhouse looks like a wonderful place to visit and capture great photos, thanks for sharing Also, thanks as always for the inspiring quotes. I enjoyed both videos. Also, I now have a better appreciation of the giant pouch rat but not a fan.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely collection of inspirational quotes. Loved the pictures you took at the greenhouse. I believe the "calla" lilies are actually anthuriums but, you know the saying, "...a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet". :)
ReplyDeleteThe surprise gospel video was so funny.

ReplyDeleteKiitän sinua myös siitä, että vierailit minun blogissani.
Hyvän mielen sunnuntaita!
Sirpa
You always make me smile with your posts! Hugs ♥️
ReplyDeleteI am SO sorry I am late again, dear friend Linda. Your quotes got me up and yay to the rats. I am sorry. That tiredness drives me nuts. But that´s life, I reckon.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous memes, and I enjoyed reading them. I hope you're having a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteYou always have such a varied selection of really good quotes (and those rats are interesting but I still wouldn't want one as a pet).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes! I like your photos as well. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes and nice pictures, thanks for sharing them
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day ♥
Lovely post -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com

i like that "Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do." Both the saying and the drawing depicting it.
ReplyDeleteCiesze się, że jest dużo zdjęć kotów. Uwielbiam koty. Cudownie jest je obserwować.
ReplyDelete
