The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone in downtown Montreal at night on November 21st. Again, I am new at taking night photos, so I guess with time my photos will improve. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
I took this one across the street from my target, which were two lovely deer sculptures, nicely lit up!
I found this what I think is a squirrel sculpture, outside of a church building, nicely lit up. (again, downtown Montreal)

Abraços daqui do Sul do Brasil.
Love all the quotes today that I do not which one to choose as my favorite but I like the forest and birdie pictures. 🕊️ 🐦 Have a good day and good week ahead!
morning greetings from Kuala Lumpur! today is 1st december, and 1st day of half of semester (week 8) of this academic semester. I got 4 hrs classes today. anyway, i love your picture of squirrel sculpture! so cute!. for quotes, i choose this one: "Keep putting out good. It will come back to you tenfold in unexpected ways." after all, life is short so always be a good doer ;)
The Gag video is so farnee! And the harp music sounds so tranquil and heavenly. By the way I know how to play the Chinese Zither and Chinese violin (er hu).
Your photos are great! I have never seen a lit-up squirrel! I would buy one and put it out front if I could! And the photo with the deer has so many lovely details. The twinkling lights in the high rises, the shiny wet, and of course the deer. street
wonderful....you always find the best memes!! my favorite...we don't need to explain our love...we only need to show it. the photos you took in montreal are very pretty!!
I'm starting to learn that I don't have to react to everything that bothers me. Sometimes I just need to breathe, let it go and protect my peace. I am taking this with me today...thank you!!
I need to learn from Tiny Buddha, dear friend Linda! To a good morning and I am glad Ingo can show feelings like described. Lovely sculpture you found. And to cats!!! Warm hugs and much love and to a good week 🥰
The sculptures are so beautiful! Your post has so many good words of wisdom for everyday life! I'll gladly take them with me in my thoughts and heart! All the videos are great! Have a wonderful Advent season! Warm regards, Elke
Thank you for sharing with us, Linda. I always look forward to your posts and the encouragement I receive when visiting your lovely blog. Belinda Frugal Workshop
Dear Linda, thank you for the two photos of the deers and squirrel sculpture. The photos are very clear, I can see the sculptures are covered with yellow golden fairy lights. Very beautiful 😍❤️ Enjoy your week ahead! ☺️
Boa segunda-feira e um excelente mês de dezembro minha querida amiga Linda. As últimas vezes que faltei aula foram nos dia 16 e 23 de novembro. Só faltei porque tive que viajar. Parabéns pela postagem. Grande abraço do Brasil.
Oh I love Christmas decorations. I also have few in my town. They have started to decorate last night. :) Beautiful quotes, thank you for them, hugs. 🫶🤗💞
Hello Linda, I like your photos of the critter sculptures at night. Beautiful collection of inspiring quotes. Thanks for sharing. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
It's wisdom to know when you need to react, not always easy to know! I like the quote about discipline being the bridge between goals and accomplishments. Aw, cats can really be lifesavers! Have a wonderful week!
The art of letting it go is one of the most useful arts in life, and also swallowing what cannot be swallowed, you know what I mean, sometimes it is better like that. Happy December, Linda.
"Celebrate your life...every moment...with every fiber of your being and you cannot help but create miracles and wonders that you cannot now imagine." My favorite!!! I so enjoy each post you make!! Thank you for each and every one.
I loved the videos with the cats being the heroes, Linda. The cat that my daughter and her family had (Henry) actually did exactly that for their oldest child, Virginia, when a dog darted out of the blue to attack her. Henry actually jumped on the dog's head! Thanks as usual for all the fun, whimsy and wisdom. Blessings!
Dearest Linda, As usual you've posted such inspiring quotes which let us know how big is your love for animals and nature. Today I've seen so many kittens, and as for the first quote by Aldous Huxley " If you want to write keep cats", you know that I'm an historical reseracher and writer of historical biography for the House of Habsburg, and believe me, cats are the source of my inspiration, always! I cannot write without my fur-babies by my side. Have a blessed new week and Advent Season, XO Daniela @ ~ My little old world ~
Dear Linda, what a wonderful collection you've put together again today! And I learn something from your sayings every time. It's so true that I don't have to react to everything that bothers me—sometimes I just need to breathe, let go, and maintain my inner peace. I don't think I'm very good at that yet, but I could get there. On the other hand, I'm already pretty good at celebrating life 😊 (and that's something I had to learn too...)
All the best and a wonderful Advent season 🕯️✨❣️, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2025/11/reisebericht-2025-toronto.html
Linda, what a bright and life-filled post! You’ve made me smile more than once (and actually laugh out loud with the heroic cat and that old-hotel joke ). Coming here feels like getting a big group hug made of wise quotes, fearless kitties, glowing sculptures, and snow that crunches under your boots… all of it together feels like home. Two things especially hit me today, exactly when I needed them:“I’m starting to learn that I don’t have to react to everything that bothers me.” Man, that’s a huge truth and sometimes so hard to put into practice. Thanks for reminding me gently. And “My favorite weather is the weather where the birds sing.” I’m in love with that one! Even though right now in Spain we’re deep in blanket-and-hot-chocolate season, I promise I’ll keep an ear out for the first crazy bird that decides to sing in December.
Your nighttime Montreal photos are beautiful; they have that magical winter blue glow that turns everything into a fairy tale. And that squirrel sculpture… it totally stole my heart!Thank you for always giving us this little corner full of good vibes, laughter, and thoughts that feel like a warm hug. You make mornings better.A big hug from across the ocean, and may your winter be filled only with days when the birds feel like singing (even if they need a scarf)! Miguel (from a sunny spot in Spain)
77 comments - I do not know how you do it. And you work so hard on your post. I admire you. I am whipped! lol I guess I like - My favorite weather is bird-chirping weather. - Terri Guillemets :) The bird just looks so happy and cute.
Hello Linda! I am late to visit today. But better late than never! Love all the quotes and love the two videos of the brave kittie cats. That proves that cats are caring, loyal and brave. Those traits are usually associated with dogs and I am glad those kitties proved to us that cats are just as exemplary!
Happy December, Linda, Seeing the pictures of the Bison, elk and moose trying to get their heads into cars made me remember when I fed a deer from my open car window in Banff National Park. A definite no no. But I was very young and took chances.
The quote about missing 2 bill payments made me chuckle. The squirrel light in Montreal looks cool. I have been enjoying the holiday lights on people's houses.
It is so nice when the Decorations that light up come out around Christmas since it gets dark so early, so enjoy them. I am a very sensitive person and tend to cry way to easily, I do tend to be embarrased by it. Happy December!
What beautiful sayings these are! This one below is my favorite. (My favorite weather is the weather of birdsong.) I wish you a beautiful Tuesday. Best regards Irma

I think your night-time photos are great! My camera doesn't seem to be able to focus on night shots - perhaps I should try the camera on my phone (that I never use)
Hi, Linda! I couldn't visit until now. I enjoyed the cat videos on your post ~ I love cats! I slid Franklin's organizing quote on my desk. Your night shots are great. It's fun to see Montreal through your eyes. I hope that you are enjoying a great week! ❤️

Oh wat a beautiful wise quotes but today this was the best one "I stayed in a really old hotel last night. They sent me a wake-up letter." So funny. Love to see all the christmas sculptures on your photos Such a nice time of the year
I appreciate all the wise and happy and life-ful quotes! Let me choose for now: * I'm starting to learn that I don't have to react to everything that bothers me. Sometimes I just need to breathe, let it go and protect my peace. * But ALL are valuable!
Beautiful light-animals for this spiritual time in the year .
You are so blessed! Many greetings from Dori from the Bavarian Forest
Hellloooo Linda! Love your photos. Please keep adding them. I love to see what you see! As for playing hooky. That's a fun thing to do for a day for sure.
As for the ghosty, Casper is a good name too. So many of you came up with good names but it was my fault for not asking the question who is this, correctly. Because his real name is Oogie Boogie from the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
That said, I loved reading all the name suggestions. That was so fun!
Muy bellas notas...hay que seguir cultivando la alegría de vivir Aprender a aceptar a otros , es saber como enfrentar la vida en adelante... Gracias por visitar mi blog
I FEEL that organization quote so much. And just looking at the picture of the forest calmed me. =) Linda, I'm wishing you the best, sweetest, most peaceful holiday season! Merry Christmas!
Nice choice, Linda. I picked this one: We don't need to explain our love. We only need to show it. Adding: and feel it. Our city looks the same, I mean the weather. Snow came and gone, but it's warm, just fine. Best wishes from Russia.
Your collection of quotes and reflections feels like a gentle reminder to slow down and savor the season. The night photos of the deer and squirrel sculptures are magical, capturing such warmth and festive spirit. I especially enjoyed the mix of humor and wisdom throughout—it creates a balance that makes the post uplifting and fun to read.
