Sometimes you need to look at life from a different perspective. :)
The following photo is my own, which I took on my cellphone on December 2nd. I had an appointment with my ophthalmologist that day in a hospital, and I came across this Christmas display as I was walking in the hospital to my appointment I thought it was cute and decided to take this photo. You can click on the image to see a larger view.
This photo I took in a Montreal park. The red balls you see in this photo are actually lights! I was thrilled with the way the city decorated this park. They also made a skating rink in the park for anyone wanting to get some exercise by enjoying some time skating.
The white snowflake you see in this photo is another light that the city put up...this time attached to a street lamp.
As those of you who are regular followers of my blog know, all the photos I have been sharing are taken on my cellphone. You will also know that I am new at taking night shots. These beautiful trees were in the same park as the above photos. I managed to get close enough to capture these two trees, and I am very happy with the way it turned out! You can see shimmers of the red lights reflecting on the snow! :) Yes, I now have this on my blog header!
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :) The first Gag with the fighting Santas. The little girl is part of the gag. Notice that a lady left her with another woman to watch...the adult watching the girl was not part of the gag. I mention this because of a couple of comments about concerns of the fight happening in front of a child. This child knew about this, because she was part of this gag. As well, she was the only child present! It is only the adults in the video (except for the woman who left the little girl with another adult), who were not part of the gag. Also notice the little girl waves and smiles for the camera at the end of the video. Thank you so much for your kind comments.
Below is a second Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :)
Another Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :)
Laughing Christmas Song :)
The Reindeer who couldn't stop laughing (kids Christmas song) I found this a cute and catchy tune for all ages. Enjoy! :)
O Christmas Tree (your ornaments are history) :)
For all my fellow cat lovers, this will bring a smile or laugh, it is pretty cute! Enjoy! :)

Joy doesn't simply happen to us we have to choose it every day.
ReplyDeleteWe need to recite this every morning when we wake up :)
I love all the photos about perspective. Yes, sometimes we do just need to look at things from a different viewpoint to get the full meaning. I enjoyed these...those cats with the Christmas tree...well, I can't imagine allowing that to happen, but I guess that's why my cat still lives outside. LOL. He's getting closer every day, however, to coming in...but I just can't imagine letting him take over the Christmas tree! But I guess cats are kind of hard to control...they seem to have a mind of their own. LOL. Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures you took, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThe white kitten in your first photo is so cute! The O Christmas Tree video made me laugh! The lyrics are so apt and the antics of those kitties are hilarious! Thank you for the good laugh!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these. Your photos are wonderful. I enjoy seeing the decorations this time of year
ReplyDeleteOh Christmas Tree your ornaments are history....true!
ReplyDelete... Oprah Winfrey is right, "he smallest change in perspective can transform a life" and you attitude determines your altitude!
ReplyDeletemorning greetings from malaysia! all your photos that u took using your handphone are awesome! i love 'em all!! for today, i choose this quote: Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day. - Henri Nouwen... anyway, at my place, it is now rainy season, some areas are flooded (my area not affected). so the weather is gloomy with intermittent drizzling...cool temperature too... it reminds me of winter that I had in nottingham, UK many2 years ago...gloomy winter yet i miss it so much! have a nice day linda! sending u virtual hugs from afar
ReplyDeleteGreat words of wisdom again. Love the gull picture with the different perspective!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! The close-up of the tree is very, very cool. I love them all though. Love when you post photos. These are wonderful and so are all of the memes today. Love the Christmaseeee fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thank you for sharing with us. Your photos from your cell phone turned out so well. I love the red Christmas tree outside. My favorite meme today is this one:
ReplyDelete“ When a photographer can't change a scene, he changes his angle and lens to capture the best of that scene. Similarly, when you can't change a situation in your life, change your perspective and mindset to get the best out of that situation”
Mindset is such a great tool to utilize. If we can get our mind set on something we can do wonders! I hope you’re having a terrific evening.
That seagull has the right idea.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you need to look at life from a different perspective. :) With the one bird in the opposite direction.
ReplyDeleteAlso, like the two pink lights - very pretty.
I like that Charles Schutlz quote.
ReplyDeleteYour night photos are great!
Good evening Linda it's about 9.30pm over the other side of the globe ๐ love your theme today, perspective, Christmas joy and laughter, let me add on, turn your weakness into your strength! Loving all the lovely pet cats photos and quotes. Encouraging, positive and full of wisdom as usual. Ok got to ciao.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, Linda! Thank you as always for your uplifting posts! :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog header cellphone photo is fabulous! Lots of good Christmas memes here too. But my favourite things are the Jesus video and the Cat's xmas carol -- so funny!
ReplyDeleteLove your quotes, photos and videos. I'll never get tired of watching cats having fun with the Christmas trees! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLinda, the real things are almost always about what we can't see and we can choose joy every day that we draw breath. And you have sure nailed it with the Just for Laughs video and the cat attack on the Christmas tree. Jesus appears to solve our troubles and the cats simply remind us that He already has. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWhile I did laugh at the fighting Santas, I would not have been happy for my child to witness that.
ReplyDeleteChrist the car starter was better.
Adorei toda a publicaรงรฃo. Muito bom gosto na escolha do tema e das imagens. Gostei mais daquela da Oprah Winfrey "The smallest change in perspective can transform a life".
ReplyDeleteUm Feliz Natal pra vocรช!

Hi, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well and in good spirits this holiday season. Thank you for offering more inspiring words of wisdom. The first wise saying that resonated with me was the one reminding us that sometimes the most real things in the world as the ones we cannot see. For someone like me who thrives on knowing all the facts and often struggles with incomplete information and limited feedback, that is an important lesson to remember. Choosing to experience joy in the midst of the world's chaos is another challenging concept that I intend to pursue in the year ahead. As the very next meme explains, you can experience joy by helping others and brightening their lives during the holidays and all year round. Reframing (changing one's perspective and mindset) is another important tool mentioned several times in your post. I enjoyed looking at the indoor picture you took as well as festive holiday decorations the city of Montreal hung in the park and on the street lamp. The night shot you snapped of the glowing trees is remarkable, Linda. I don't think I would be able to laugh on cue as did those men chuckling their way through "Jingle Bells." The laughing reindeer song was cute. Isn't it funny how cats perceive a Christmas tree covered in ornaments as a giant toy? My favorite part of your post was the last video showing how a sloth was rescued from a fire, nursed back to health and became besties with a beagle. So very touching, and a reminder that we do not need to be exactly alike to love and respect one another.
I am visiting you today because I will be returning with my final post of the year at Shady's Place this Sunday, December 21, but will be extremely busy in the days thereafter with back-to-back doctor appointments and a houseful of family guests when I get home.
Happy holidays, dear friend Linda!
Hello Linda,
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed these lovely quotes about Christmas.
Greetings ๐ฒ
I especially love your last photo of the trees, they're so festive and cheery. Happy Thursday, have a terrific day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteYes, keep things in perspective.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Love the meme with the gulls. There is one in every group!
ReplyDelete"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
ReplyDeletePerspective is everything, Linda. Nice to see snow in your photos, we still have not had any, but it cold.
ReplyDeleteI am choosing Joy today, Linda. The park is decorated nicely and so festive. It must be nice to walk through there at night.
ReplyDeleteIt is the perfect time of year for an polar express quote.
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for new perspectives in life and my art, photos, and writing. Happy holidays and much inspiration and blessings in 2026!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of Montreal Parc
ReplyDeleteHelpful and timely thoughts, Linda. You are doing well with the night photos. The ice rink in the park brought me momentarily back to my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree withe all the quotes that suggest changing the perspective.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile in Canada is funny. :D :D :D
Oh yes, in this pre-Christmas time, we need to find the child within us that we once were :)
ReplyDeleteSending you my best wishes
Good evening, Linda. These Christmas days are full of hope and light. Especially in our souls. Let's enjoy them under the best way,
ReplyDeleteGood night my dear.
Choose Joy!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing well with the night photos.
Changing perspective is my go-to when things aren't going as expected or go badly. Totally agree.
ReplyDeleteI didn't care for the fighting santas in front of a child, to be honest.
The Stephen Covey and Bertrand Russell ones are my favorites. ❤️๐
ReplyDeleteI like all those and the joy of Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, as always when I visit your blog I really enjoy your quotes and photos. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, with all my best wishes. Hugs.
