Thoughts and Reflections
Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you so much for taking time to come and visit me here! It really means a lot to me!
I want to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas! I love you all and really appreciate your kind support!
I will continue to post throughout Christmas and New Year! My last post before Christmas will be on Christmas Eve. My posts will continue on Mondays and Thursdays.
Here are today's picks, which I hope will brighten your day!
It takes no more time to see the good side of life than to see the bad. - Jimmy Buffett
The heart can be a bit of a hoarder, stockpiling grudges, harsh words and past pain as if each were a priceless artifact - rather than a ticket stub to a show that's long since ended. Unfortunately these keepsakes take up precious space where new joy could be doing cartwheels. And so we need to recognize that every past hurt is not meant to be a tenant with a lease, but merely a traveler passing through.
When a storm is coming, all other birds seek shelter. The eagle alone, avoids the storm by flying above it. So, in the storms of life...may your heart soar like an eagle.
The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone on December 2nd. I was at a hospital that day for an appointment with my ophthalmologist. There is a beautiful chapel in this hospital. I was early for my appointment, so I went to the chapel first and took these photos. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
These last photos were all taken in the same park as my previous post! Yes, with my cellphone and at night! I was so thrilled with the decorations the city put in this park here in Montreal that I had to take these photos and share them all with you!
I love the shimmers of red light from this Christmas tree reflecting in the snow!
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :) I am sharing a double dose of Just for Laughs Gags for your enjoyment! :)

Oh, Linda, that chapel in the hospital is amazing! Such wonderful photos you took to remind us of the Who is the Great Healer. May you have the most blessed of Christmases, my friend!
Your photos of the park are unbelievable. They look like Christmas cards or calendar pages!! And the hospital chapel is so ornate and amazing, you would never know it is not in a real church. Love the Wisteria photo in the Willa Cather quote!
Beautiful pictures! And I love, "The heart can be a bit of a hoarder, stockpiling grudges, harsh words and past pain as if each were a priceless artifact - rather than a ticket stub to a show that's long since ended. Unfortunately these keepsakes take up precious space where new joy could be doing cartwheels. Hi Linda, thanks for visiting my blog. I love hearing from readers in Canada, a place dear to us as our daughter lives there with her family. What a great list of pertinent sayings, with a message or two for us all. Love your photos of the beautiful chapel, and of course, the snow scenes. Merry Christmas.
Your photos of the chapel and the park are beautiful! All the quotes and words of wisdom are so well chosen. They're truly uplifting for everyday life. Merry Christmas! Hugs, Elke
Such lovely pictures from the park! Also this one made me laugh "It is impossible to keep a straight face in the presence of one or more kittens." I think my face often was one of despair, especially with my last one, lol.
It's a beautiful thought that there's a light within us that nothing can extinguish. It's true, at Christmas, all roads lead home. It's also a time to do something special for yourself and others. Warmest regards :)
