ReplyDeleteThese are all such good reminders and words of wisdom. Also, yes, be very careful on the ice. We had a dear friend (years ago in New England) go out to her car and slip on the ice while opening her car door, and she fell and broke her neck. Thankfully she fully recovered (after surgery!), But it was a powerful lesson for all of us to be extremely careful on the ice. Thankfully, where we live now we don't have that problem. I enjoyed your post so much. That picture of the Professor Meow looks just like our sweet Sunshine who passed over the rainbow bridge recently. He was the sweetest kitty.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda! I hope you’re doing well today. I love the 5 minute health check meme. I took all of my vitamins today so I’m counting it a good day. I take 3 calcium tablets a day and it’s gets old fast, but I did it today and am grateful. Please, please be careful with all that ice. It’s so easy to fall in ice and hurt yourself. Stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteSome very wise memes here today. And I loved the video about Professor Meow!
ReplyDeleteI like that one about fully committing to a new life - very good point!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun story about the cat who came to campus. :)
Good evening Linda! I was looking at your own photos taken regarding the snow storms, the slush and the ice. I can understand what you meant by dangerous. I am experiencing "winter" here in SG too hee hee, we had the long life rain here since last night till this morning. Sleep was wonderful and sound. I love the rain but it can be dangerous for those on the roads. Keep warm, be careful and hugs to you from SG!
ReplyDeleteLindos videos.
ReplyDeleteNext, glanced through your memes, they are wise, encouraging and positive. I shall share one here too, today is the beginning of never ending, if you know what I meant.
ReplyDeleteI love the Hal Borland quote! ❤️
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for sharing with us the two photos that you took.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about the evergreen tree so I will look for the name of this tree.
The ice and slush in photo 2 does look so dangerous.
So easy to just slip and fall.
Please be extra careful.
Are there any anti slip shoes that can be worn for safety?
Have a lovely week ahead! 🙏
I remember Glen Campbell and his wonderful voice.
ReplyDeleteLove mental health sayings.
My favorite one today is:
When people treat you like they don't care...believe them.
Here's wishing you goodnight and sweet dreams 💤😴
ReplyDeleteI wonder will you get to read this message before you sleep, hehehe 😁
Yes, ice is the scariest, most unpredictable part of winter.
ReplyDeleteStretching is the big one I keep meaning to make a habit, and somehow it still slips by, even though I know better at this stage 😂 Thanks for sharing, Linda! Hope your day is a great one 💕
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that 5-min mental health check! Thank you, Linda.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting concoction of everything. 💜
ReplyDeleteThis is what I'm taking with me today: "Sometimes all a person wants is an empathetic ear; all he or she needs is to talk it out. Just offering a listening ear and an understand heart for his or her suffering can be a big comfort. "
Thank you Linda and a paw-shake :)
I love your long shadow! It is quite a photo of opposites, yet not! The dark shadow and white dangerous ice!
ReplyDeleteit's wonderful to have snow at your place! monday greetings from kuala lumpur! my life is hectic lately..anyway, i love this quote: Sometimes all a person wants is an empathetic ear; all he or she needs is to talk it out. Just offering a listening ear and an understand heart for his or her suffering can be a big comfort.! take care dear linda!
ReplyDeleteToday I read so many things that really touched me and brought me to tears; somehow I'm feeling down today. Everything was so beautifully chosen and so harmonious. Your videos made me laugh, and so I'm going shopping later, out into the world, which is what I need today.
ReplyDeleteI don't like black ice either; I much prefer real snow! Your shadow photo in the snow is lovely!
Thank you for all your efforts to make us think, bring joy, and remind us of others.
Have a wonderful Christmas and don't fall on the ice cream! Lots of love and hugs, Elke
I really enjoyed the post and all the wisdom shared. The 5-minute mental health check is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks I always benefit from these inspirational quotes. There are always some that speak to me. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHere in Australia it's called autumn, though fall makes perfect sense. I must say I'm not a fan of winter, Linda. I'm a bit of a frog when it comes to frigid temperatures as I need warm sunshine to warm dem ol' bones of mine. =) Be careful when you're out and about walking in those frigid conditions. It sounds a little tricky.
ReplyDeleteThe ice would be a bit of a worry to walk on. Never experienced that.
ReplyDeleteNice memes and just for laughs was a scream, Linda.
Lovely post.
Lastly, your videos. Watched the Gag Video for a good laugh, yes I needed that. The Snowflakes kid song and cartoon was cute.
ReplyDeleteI should stretch more, dear friend Linda! And wish my Brother would read your blog...
ReplyDeleteGlad I have no hatred! LOL on fall!
Yes. Ingo always says I should stop the to do´s, too...
Thank you - now I get "GoodNews" every day.
LOL on that Gag! And Sunny was the cutest! And nice to learn about sharks. Warm hugs and much love to you 🥰
Good morning, dear Linda! Such wonderful inspirations and good reminders! I'm not a fan of winter - I slipped and fell twice past winter. Luckily temperatures are still quite mild at the moment. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I love all the quotes. The Meanwhile in Canada quote made me chuckle - Canadians are very practical people, calling it as it is. Your photo of the tree with red and white leaves coated with snow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring, thank you. xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful quotes, Linda! They are all very wise.
ReplyDeleteQue de phrases pleines de sagesse !
ReplyDeleteMerci aussi pour les petites vidéos.
Bonne journée Linda.
Some great thoughts in today's selection. Especially "try a little kindness".
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We call it "Herbst" which has the same etymological source as "harvest"!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Linda!
Great post! As always, you impress with your truth and emotion. The graphics are also fantastic.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo y feliz semana.
I'm not a fan of winter at all. The ice can get really dangerous
ReplyDeleteI like Santideva's opinion the most, I really appreciate his wisdom.
ReplyDeleteBest regards :)
Morals and common sense seem sometimes to be a hard combination, so it’s extra pleasing to have friends who possess both.
ReplyDeleteThe end of the year is a continuation, but the goals are challenging, new.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post, filled with wise words.
Cute videos, thanks for sharing.
Take care, stay warm! Have a great day and happy week ahead.
You provided us with many reminders and take-aways to help us through this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWe are experiencing the icy conditions her in Calgary just like you are having to deal with! We slowly and safely shuffle along!
For me the end of a year is always a lovely time for reflection, and the beginning of a new year offers me a chance to become a tiny bit better human being.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this.lovely inspirations!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Thank you for sharing :"Try out this 5-minute mental health check."
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
That orange cat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are great reminders and such an important topic! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou're sidewalks look like ours, Linda. Actually, it was mostly snow pack on my early morning trudge, so that was great! Take care when you're out and about and have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a good theme. I read them all. Enjoy your winter walking, and I will try to do likewise.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing another batch of wisdom and laughs. Mental health is so important, and I'm definitely going to keep your 5-minute mental health check in mind! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis blog of yours will definitely put anyone in a good mood. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI work on my negativity bias every day :)
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts, words, and beautiful pictures! The photo with the tree is very interesting! What an unusual tree. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBom dia, Linda
These are all great, Linda. Thank you for sharing them with us. I can't even imagine being in that kind of weather. Be careful and stay warm out there!
ReplyDeleteI am always worried about falling on ice.
ReplyDeleteOy, frozen snow and ice give me creeps ever since I slipped on my front stairs and would probably have broken my back if I hadn't had a fluffy winter jacket on me to break my fall, so be very careful and don't go out if you don't have to. Wishing you a pleasant prefestive week.
ReplyDeleteYour post is very interesting. Taking care of your health is essential to feeling good.
ReplyDeleteThat kitty is very cute :)
All the memes were good, but the first one resonated with me.
ReplyDeleteWow, the shark video is astonishing!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the snow on the tree leaves is beautiful... although winter is far from being my favorite season.
Fall is because leaves fall :D Don't complicate!
As the years go by, the notion of maintaining our peace in a world full of anger and hate is larger and stronger!
Have an awesome week, Linda!
Boa segunda-feira minha querida amiga Linda. Gostei de todas as frases. A minha preferida: a terceira frase ou pensamento.
ReplyDeleteNão sei se você possuo Instagram, caso queira o meu:

Grande abraço do Brasil.
"When people treat you like they don't care...believe them" YES!! Sadly, this one is relevant today. But, we are not going to let it cost us our mental health! Enjoy your day and week ahead, Linda.
ReplyDeleteAll of these say something important to understand.
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the cold and snow, Linda, but ice ain't nice! Do be careful out there, my friend. And may we all show lots of kindness to one another. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI love "Mind journal". It is so true.
ReplyDeleteI love snow, too, but not the ice.
ReplyDeleteLoved every one of the videos!
Linda such a touching story about the shark and the campus kitty. Brings a tear to one's eye. Yes ice can be so dangerous...don't mind the snow but ice is certainly a different story. Your pictures are good to see...gives us a glimpse of your world. Thank you oh so much for all the joy you bring in your posts. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe ice is dangerous, dear Linda. Please take care!
ReplyDeleteFight -> unbelievable good!
Lie(f)s.
“Life is too short to be vengeful and malicious.” Truer words were never written!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda for sharing so many powerful quotes.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy winter Linda. I love snow and the beauty when the sun shines on the snow and it all twinkles.
Cats are experts at improving mental health!
ReplyDeleteBonsoir
Mental illness is real and unfortunately not treated until it's too severe.
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, I love Glen Campbell and that's one of his best songs.
Lots of good reminders here that our mental health is very important.
ReplyDeleteLove the orphaned lamb video. So sad that a mother will reject her lamb.
I like this series of tips, although we don't follow many of them.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of videos.
Have a great week.
Cheers!
Love it all :)
ReplyDeleteOften your graphics/quotes having to do with mental health speak to me where I am. Thank you. I feel confirmed, heard, respected.
ReplyDeleteSimpy beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCat whiskers are very precious 😻
ReplyDeleteI think i flunked the Mind Journal quiz today. A good reminder for us. You stay upright and be careful out there!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post providing me with motivation for a Monday. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading all the sayings.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to be careful walking with icy conditions.
Hello Linda . . . I hope the week has started well for you.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely selection of words/sayings.
I've always liked Glen Campbell, many thanks for the video.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
Mental health may be more than food.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda Lots of great and deep quotes Hard to choose one but I think I quite like this one: When people treat you like they don't care...believe them. Also hard to realise that you are in the snow. We have a real warm summer this year and that doesn't feel Christmassy at all. Take care ❤️
Mental health is such an important discussion. This time of year is very hard for some people and I am sure your posts are very uplifting for them.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
So many great quotes.
ReplyDeleteI am also super cautious with ice. Sometimes the sidewalks are slippier than the roads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and kind words about my tea-themed tree!
Some of the days, I really, really have to push myself to drink more water. Wishing you a yummy week, Linda!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree that cats' whiskers can find their way through the narrowest cracks into a broken heart. I actually like how my cat's whiskers tickle my face. And yes, mental illness is such a dangerous and silent disease. Mental health is something we need to understand more of and pay more attention to.
ReplyDeleteMental health awareness is the need of the hour!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, it is a little past 5 am in your time zone. I am guessing you must be awake now.
ReplyDeleteJust would like to share with you, the evergreen tree could be a Thuja tree specifically the Eastern White Cedar as it is native to Montreal. This tree is a lovely green tree. It seems that I can buy this tree from the local nurseries here. I will ask about it if I go to a garden center here
Thanks for showing us the tree. 💕
Have a terrific Tuesday! 💕
All great friendships DEFINITELY start with a paw-shake!
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves winter too. I miss the warmer weather.
Grazie e buona settimana a te!!!
ReplyDeleteCats are natural therapists for the soul!
ReplyDeleteSuch a delightful post, Linda!
So true! Even the smallest things, like a cat’s whiskers, can remind us to be gentle and sensitive with ourselves and others..
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree on this, Linda: "If it costs you your mental health, it's too expensive". I like George Orwell's quote. And Karen Salmansohn one is also powerful.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely pre-Christmas week ahead of you 🌲
Sensitive, spiritual, talented people are a gift. They are comforting and reassuring. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteWonderful selection. Thank you for sharing ❤️
ReplyDeleteHola Linda.
Some absolute gems here Linda
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice post. I must very laughing about that movie with the chinese man at the checkout.
Many greetings,
Marco
I like the little video about Professor Meow!! I'm glad you're being careful when walking outside where there's ice. Winter for you can be quite hazardous. Mostly we have to worry about drowning ( just kidding).
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for haring these with us.
ReplyDeleteI like this post. Amazing
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, here in California we call the season Autumn OR Fall. Both are said, but I prefer Autumn, as Fall sounds a bit too casual. I love the "Good Morning" quote. That's a special one. The baby lamb video is sweet.
ReplyDeleteHave a merry and bright week, Linda.
~Sheri
Gracias siempre por tus bellas imágenes y citas
ReplyDeleteTen una fantástica navidad
Paz
Isaac
Lots of food for thought and humor! Plus I love animal pics. Your wintry photos make me say "brrrrr...". And yes, caution is advised! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog, too.
ReplyDeleteMany great quotes on Mental Health, it is important to take care of ourselves both physically and mentally.
ReplyDeleteOh the older I am getting the more I don't care for the cold, and I am scared of slipping on ice or even snow, do be careful out there!
ugh, icy sidewalks are no joke... stay safe out there! it’s great that you’re still finding joy in the season, though...
ReplyDeleteGreat post

ReplyDeletePodzim - u nás se říká: Podzime, podzime, nosíš nám své deště, pěkně tě prosíme, nepřicházej ještě. (Ono se to rýmuje.) 😊
- Roy T. Bennett
ReplyDeletePozdrawiam serdecznie
Niech wszystko się toczy za dobrym losem:)
Your post is like a calm winter walk. Your words remind us that caring for the mind is made of small, mindful choices, just like walking carefully on ice.
ReplyDeleteAnd those photos? Quiet beauty with a touch of wisdom. Thank you for the warmth in the cold.
Jingle Bells... Jingle Bells... Olha quem voltou... Seu amiguinho laranja! rsrsrsrsrs
ReplyDeleteNova tirinha publicada. 😺
Abraços 🐾 Garfield Tirinhas Oficial.
Miscellaneous post. Inhale and exhale, that's breathing. ;)
ReplyDeleteQue artigo maravilhoso Linda!!
So great you love winter. I learned to love with years. When I was younger, summer was my favourite season. Now, I enjoy all of them.
ReplyDeleteI like the picture you took of that evergreen tree.
The quote about cat's whiskers finding way into our heart is precious.
Enjoy watching your videos....
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
I always enjoy the photos you take on your walks. That first one is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI can fully attest to the cat whiskers quote. Such a lovely post, Linda! Also, thank you so much for stopping by my website.
ReplyDelete-Soma
I love the light and shadow play in your photograph, Linda. Very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI loved the story about the cat who would visit the campus, daily. :)
ReplyDeletenothing worth more than our mental health. surround ourselves with good vibes!
Abrazos.
ReplyDeleteThe mix of gentle wisdom, personal reflection, and small moments of joy creates such a calming space. The 5‑minute mental health check is a grounding reminder, and the quotes you chose highlight how much peace comes from awareness, boundaries, and kindness. Your winter photos add a beautiful contrast, capturing both the stillness and the caution that icy days require. This post feels like a quiet pause in a busy season, and it lingers in the best way.
ReplyDelete
