Health Issues

Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! First of all, I want to thank you all so much for your love, your visits and your kind comments on my blog posts! Your friendship means so much to me, more than you can imagine.

I don't want to alarm any of you, but I thought that I would just make this post so that you are aware of what is happening with me. I am a very private person so I really don't make posts like this often, as you can see, and I don't want to go into detail, but I wanted to let you all know that I have been having some health issues. Some of you have probably noticed that my visits and comments on your blogs has been less frequent, but I wanted you to know that I am experiencing health issues at this time.

I do not have a car and I use public transit and it is very cold 🥶 and slippery now.

Let's just say that it is in the throat area and that this has been going on for some time, but it was very minor...now it is getting progressively worse.

I do plan to see a doctor as soon as possible, so please rest assured that I am working on this. It is not an emergency, but something that I need to address in as short period of time as possible. Our emergency rooms here in Montreal are way over capacity, some at over 200 percent! There are Flu cases, perhaps some Covid-19 as well as measles, and the wait times are ridiculously long. So you can imagine that I really don't want to go because I will be among all these sick people, which will not help me at all!

So I just wanted to make this special post to let you know what is happening and to thank you all so much for your love and support.

For those of you who pray, I am asking if you wouldn't mind praying for me. I thought that letting you all know what is happening will explain my lateness in responding to your posts.

Thank you all so much, and I send you all much love and warm hugs.

My regular posts will continue as normal, on Mondays and Thursdays, so you will always have something that hopefully brightens your day!

Linda

  10. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you can see a physician soon. I know our ERs here in the state are in the same situation. People have posted on facebook about sitting in one ER and driving to another city to sit in a different ER with cold and flu symptoms (to me if you are well enough to drive from town to town, maybe you should go home, but what do I know). I don't blame you for not wanting to sit with them.
I hope you can get some comfort and some solutions to this health issue. Rest and take it easy!

  47. I understand about not wanting to be in a waiting room among sick people, but something worsening in the throat really needs to be looked at. Is there a Home Doctor Service at all where doctors come around and check on elderly people in homes?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dear Linda, I hope you can see a doctor soon. I'm praying for you that it doesn't get worse!
Get well soon! Sending you a hug, Elke

  49. Thinking of you Linda. Do take care and don't leave you illness too long as it might become worse and therefore take longer to get over.
Bite the bullet, wear a mask and go to the hospital, it's only once hopefully that you will need to go and get it over and done with.
    Take care...prayers forthcoming.

  57. It’s clear how much care you put into staying connected with your readers, even when you’re going through something difficult. I’m really glad you’re planning to see a doctor soon, and I hope the process is smooth and you get clear answers quickly. Navigating health issues in the middle of winter, especially without a car, sounds incredibly challenging, and you’re wise to be cautious about crowded ERs right now. Wishing you steadier days ahead and hoping your throat issue resolves soon.

Adding you to my prayers as you navigate this health issue.

You are very much in my thoughts, and you can count on my prayers.
A big hug and all my affection.

  65. First of all I wish you a more healthy year then the last one, when I read that you had health issues. But I also wish you a happy New Year ! What I cannot understand that apparently in the whole world to see a doctor or a specialist you have to wait for months ! I don't know why before the Covid it never happened ! One or two weeks delay OK, but I had to wait 3 month to see a skin doctor ! Meanwhile I didn't need him anymore. I wonder if it's that what they want ??? Self healing .....

    ReplyDelete
  66. Dear Linda, will keep you in my short and powerful prayer too. Yes, I noticed that your comments are getting shorter and briefer, no worries, blogs can wait, more importantly, pls take care. I can understand the frustrations of going to see doctor. You need a lot of rest as I can sense that you feel tired and not well. Additionally, do be careful whenever you are on the roads (using Public Transport) and I hope your eyes are not giving you major problems. Will pray for you whenever I remember.

  78. I send all good wishes and hopes that you can quickly get a solid diagnosis and treatment. It's always scary not to know but I really understand why going to the ER now with all the flu and Covid isn't an appealing prospect, no matter how well you mask up! Put your blog readig and commenting on the back burner unless you have a day where you feel like it and do your best to take care and get well. I truly appreciate your honesty and openness in sharing this. I understand privacy varies from blogger to blogger, but it is understanding things about the real person that make them into blog friends and not just blogs we read. This tells me about you as a person and I value that. It was beautifully and poignantly written.

  83. Oh, hope you will manage to see a doctor soon, dear, and that it will pass.
During winter, since the air is so dry due to heating, I will eat a bottle of honey mixed with plants good for throat and lungs. Herbal honey is my fave way of curing myself, I am actually currently eating a jar of gastrohoney for stomach and digestive system as I had a stressed related problem with digestion last month and want to recuperate with the usage of plants, herbs and honey. For throat I will usually use althaea and also yellow oxeye mixed with honey, also cowslip.

  92. Dear Linda, I hope you feel better, soon. There's a lot of respiratory illnesses going around this time of the year and many people I know are having colds, coughs, sore throats, the flu, etc. Hope you are able to see a doctor soon. In the meantime, drink plenty of warm liquids and honey is supposed to soothe the throat.

  124. Linda dear...I am praying for you. Health issues can be so frightening but the Lord is near and the great healer. Our hospitals here in our small corner of the world are full - no beds. In fact we have a loved one in an overflow room awaiting tests for a serious situation. Will pray that you can get your concern checked out soon. Sending up prayers and hugs.
