The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone on Thursday, April 23rd. I came across this cross and decided to take this photo. It was a gorgeous day...cool, sunny and perfect for walking! You can click on any image to see a larger view.
This is a statue in front of a Catholic church.
Same statue as in the photo above; however, this time you can see the left tower of the church behind it, so this photo is at a slightly different angle. Note how beautiful and blue the sky is!!! As well, they are doing some work on the right tower, which is why it looks kind of ugly. :)
These last photos are ones I took in a shopping mall! Yes, they had a stunning display that I enjoyed so much and wanted to share! You can click on any image to see a larger view.
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal! Enjoy! :)
Cat visits the library so often, he now has his own library card - A Montreal Story! (CTV News) :)
Great Pyrenees walks himself to CVS (The Dodo)
Kentucky Rain - Elvis Presley
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong (original spoken intro version)

"Gatto non grata!" I love that video about the Library Cat. And oh no, banned from the Yacht Club! Hahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy your photographs, the colours in them are so beautiful.
From blue skies to beautiful blooms and more ...
The Louis Armstrong video was wonderful.
I enjoyed the spoken word and the song ... very special.
All the best Jan
So many amazing photos and memes. Always have time for Louis Armstrong.
ReplyDeleteYou really do find the best memes. So many good ones today that I can't even choose a favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos too, the mall is beautiful. And Louis Armstrong is the best - that's one of my favorite songs.
My favorite this time is "Sometimes your happy ending is finding the strength to move on." My happy ending was getting divorced. I love the dog going to CVS. Princess loves to ride along for the drive-through at Walgreen's. The people inside and the drawer opening and going back in are sources of endless fascination to her. Thank you for your visits to my blog. You are such a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The "Be Kind" sentiment is one that is all over the schools these days.
ReplyDeleteI love the dog and cat videos, and you can never go wrong with Elvis and Louis :-)
ReplyDeleteThe shopping centre roof does look amazing, with a nice fountain and flowers too.
ReplyDeleteI can see some very relieved people in the ATM gag when they find out they haven't lost money.
...yes, weather we like it or not,we all hjave a connection. Being kind is a huge first step!!!
ReplyDeleteLots of good advice today but all that sticks in my mind right now is that ATM/shredder machine and the looks on those people's faces!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved your photos of the mall and the flowers, Linda. Spring has finally come to Canada! The videos are always so inspiring, too. Thank you for all the effort your take with your blog to brighten and enlighten our day!
ReplyDeleteThat blue sky is gorgeous as are your photos in the mall. The flowers too! You got so many great shots. Growth and learning are part of life at any age, both through positive and negative experiences. We can't avoid the bad, but we can deal with it in constructive ways.
ReplyDeleteBut I want to wake up tomorrow and be a butterfly!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful
ReplyDeleteLovely spring photos.
ReplyDeleteThe shopping center is so lovely with the colorful umbrellas and flowers, and the statue with the church is also beautifully framed by the sky.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful quotes and all the wisdom! Great videos!
Have a wonderful last day of April!
hugs Elke
Those are beautiful flowers! ❤️
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos you took ♥ That blu sky !
ReplyDeleteWise thoughts to think about, as always.
A pleasure to visit your page.
Almost May ! Where does the time go?
What a beautiful shopping place with all those umbrellas on display and the flowers, must be a pleasure to walk around there.
ReplyDeleteThat poor man squashed in the box..lol
The pets are sweet and nice stories too, Linda.
Lovely quotes, and beautiful flowers, Linda.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! How cute is that library cat! LOVE the umbrella display. Have a lovely day ahead!
ReplyDeletedear linda. warm greetings from kuala lumpur. today is another sunny day. I'm counting days to travel now..my flight will be on this coming sunday early morning. anyway for today, i choose this quote: If it's challenging you, testing you and pushing you...it's helping you become more of who you're meant to be.!! i love seeing all the flowers pictures that u have taken and shared in this entry. they are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful quotes about travel, destinations, roads.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteMuchos besos!!
The umbrellas look beautiful like as those big dots of color. It reminds me of something, I just can't put my finger on it right now.
ReplyDeleteI love the Armstrong song so much.
Dear friend Linda, yes to being kind! And to asking, too. Oh, but define weeds. I have two pieces of jewelry with some and I love them.
ReplyDelete"...focus on the brick"!
Oh, I always enjoys those brollies hanging around! Awww and Muffin!
And it is a wonderful world, love and hugs on the way!
Linda, I love the photos you took at the shopping mall! So bright and colorful!
Thanks for the gorgeous pictures, I do prefer cool days for a little walkies... We've had warm days but currently we are under a cold front so it is wonderfully fresh and perfect for MayDay picnicking tomorrow. With the spring they have opened the blue ceramic fountain in the centre of my city again (it is covered during winter) and it is surrounded with gorgeous flowers like in your pictures above.
ReplyDeleteI love all the memes, inspiring words! Cute memes and lovely images of the flowers, the umbrellas, the cross and statue. Take care, have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos from the shopping mall. I would actually like to do an umbrella canopy in my garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful thoughts and images. It's always a pleasure to visit your site and take a few minutes to let your wisdom sink in. It's so logical and true, yet so difficult to put into practice or remember during tough times :)
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful blue sky. I love it. I also like inside the mall with all those umbrellas. What a fun display.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Linda. And really great quotes too :-D Hope you are doing okay :-D
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda!
ReplyDeleteIf I were to follow the sage advice and "Disengage from situations, people and news that don't add joy, calm and support to your (my) life," I'm afraid there wouldn't be much left, given the chaotic state of today's world, but maybe there is merit to the idea of living a life of utter simplicity and serenity. I agree with the meme that suggests we "Stop asking: Why me?" One of the basic tenets of motivational and human potential programs is "It's not what happens to you, it's what you do about it. Your response makes all the difference." I have also learned to experience joy in the simplest things, such as examining a bug, a flower or a cloud. if you can do that, a world of wonder and delight opens up to you each day. A variation of another key principle shared in one of your memes is "Be the gatekeeper to your mind. Let in, let through the gate, that which serves you. Keep out that which does not." You snapped a series of beautiful photos that glorious April day as you strolled about Montreal. I'm happy to see that the ice and snow have finally melted away. The gag video with the ATM dispensing shredded cash is hilarious. The idea of putting a small man inside various machines and the postal box as we saw in a recent video comes in handy in this funny series devoted to pranks. I love the story about the library cat and the dog visiting the CVS. Unlike some people, I am delighted to find animals inside public buildings. A few years ago, Mrs. Shady and I visited an art store and were greeted inside by an old dog who roamed the aisles making friends. While Mrs. S looked at the artwork on display, I spent most of my time in the store talking to the dog and petting him. The experience gave me great joy. I would say that "Kentucky Rain" is my favorite song from Elvis Presley's comeback period. All these years, I never before heard the spoken intro to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World." I appreciate you posting this version, Linda, because it adds context. The song was used as the closing theme of our NLP seminar series.
I'm back today with my latest post at Shady's Place and hope you can stop by for a look and a listen. I wish you a safe, healthy and happy May, dear friend Linda!
Wonderful quotes and even more beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing such good energy and for reminding us what’s truly important. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteYou're having such beautiful skies there at the moment!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing so much positivity.
Las recomendaciones muy acertadas. Tus fotos me gustan creo que la estatua situada delante de la iglesia es del Corazón de Jesús, el jardín del supermercado se le ve precioso.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
You always have the best post. Elvis and Nat King Cole are two of my favorites .
ReplyDeleteThe "Trust the Journey" is exactly what I needed to read this morning...Linda..my journey in life right now is something I never expected and I do need to learn to Trust the Lord with this trip I am on. Thank you for always posting just what I need to hear.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inspiring quotes! Can't remember when I last visited a mall...
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the beautiful images. I like the thoughts.

ReplyDeleteThat's in a shopping mall? WOW!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those photos from the shopping mall are amazing! Just beautiful. Have the best day, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLately my mind seems to be growing weeds.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely about the mind being a garden and thoughts being seeds. Your photos are terrific. I would love to see that shopping center display myself -- how fun is that! And lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteAh Linda - such a wonderful post. Your pictures of Montreal are lovely too. Two of my favorite songs...Kentucky Rain and What a Wonderful life...both bring back such sweet memories. Always the Purrs of Wisdom are like lovely pearls - God Bless you friend. Hugs!

ReplyDeleteCount us in on the Be Kind movement. Those are all good the the flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOut of stress... Yes, I agree, this more important then ever. We can discuss why it’s urgent, but I believe most of us know about the daily Situation.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for sharing and your nice comment on my blog. Greetings by Heidrun ❤️
Some sweet friends are having difficulties right now and your quotes are so perfect, a reminder to keep going or see the silver lining. I will be sending this post along to them. Hopefully it will bring some solace. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou find the absolute best memes, Linda. I love your photos, especially the flower in the mall.
ReplyDelete"Embrace the beauty that blooms in the simplest things." These words are perfect, along with so many others in this post. Thank you for your revisit to my last post. Life continues to be hectic but happy, but with little time for reading.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are nice, Linda.
ReplyDeleteOoo..., my money..!
Great dog!
Lie(f)s.
The flowers are so pretty. We are all in this together, be kind. Yes.
ReplyDeleteIt is always a blessing to see what you've shared with us in your posts! Thank you! You do mankind a wonderful service!
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes once again and love the blooms.
ReplyDeleteGreat sayings. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and they had some meaning to me. What a Grand Pyrenees! We met a man who was buying tons of meat at a store. His smallest and youngest dog was in his truck, waiting for the owner. His head poked out the car window, and it filled it up.
ReplyDeleteAs usual you find the best quotes. I am trusting in the journey.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Love your pictures of the flowers at the mall. It looks like a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteLove that Presley song. One of his latter-day classics.
ReplyDeleteYou do not just wake up and become the butterfly. Growth is a process. - Rupi Kaur
ReplyDeleteGrowth takes time!
There is time moving forward is hard. But even if we roll we're moving forward.
ReplyDelete"The secret to getting ahead is to get started." Mark Twain.
ReplyDeleteThis one means the most to me. Knowing what to do first is always the hardest thing for me. Often, I just need to start moving in any direction first. I tell myself I can change my plans at any time.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Good morning time now is 11am over at Singapore. Lovely, like all your quotes selections today. They are all very encouraging, positive and true! Weather over here will be hot hot hot coming months of May, Jun and even July with occasional thundery showers. Guess it may be the same over at Montreal. Drink lots of fluids and stay hydrated. Take care my lovely friend Linda. And also your own photos, are those real flowers? Did I happen to see tulip 🌷 flowers among them? They are so stunning!
ReplyDeleteHi dear Lotus, yes, the flowers are real. They smelled great.
DeleteSo far here on Montreal the weather has been cooler, which is fine for me because once the heat and humidity start it will be difficult. We have had temperatures from 9 to 22 or so thus far.
Thank you so much for your visit and comment, dear friend.
Floresceram-me bons pensamentos enquanto lia a postagem.
ReplyDeleteAgradeço.
Thank you for the uplifting post
ReplyDeleteA Library Cat, very nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the sentence about the mind as a garden.
ReplyDeleteBest regards :)
Wow, that is the prettiest shopping mall display. It must make people want to go there, or at least it would me. And great quotes and thought too. Perfect for the new month. Happy May!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a beautiful month of May with health and creativity!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best quotes!! Thank you for the time you spend searching them out to share with us.

ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
I really liked the quote above. Thank you so much for sharing!
Have a great weekend.
Carla
kindness is so important, isn't it? it costs nothing but has such a great value. i had a few favorites today...your mind is a garden. your thoughts are the seeds. you can grow flowers or you can grow weeds....and If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.
ReplyDeletei have not been to a mall in years, but that mall, wow, it is gorgeous!!
The simplest things are often the mosr beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous, especially of the fountain pond! The flowers are fabulous!
Some cats visit the library far more often than humans :D
Have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!
Dear Linda, thank you for taking and sharing these photos. Very good sunny weather in Montreal with clear blue skies. Love the colourful umbrellas decorations. Is the shopping mall Carrefour Laval ?
ReplyDeleteHello dear friend, thank you so much. Yes, this is Carrefour Laval, just north of Montreal. A very large and beautiful mall.
DeleteYes, be KIND! That's a very important quality! I enjoyed all of this, especially your photos in the mall, the Montreal gag, and the delightful Great Pyrenees dog. There is a nearby small farm (very small!) that has Great Pyrenees dogs. The first time I saw them sleeping under some trees, I thought they were snowbanks. 😂. Then they got up to protect all their animals. Enjoy your weekend, Linda! ❤️🌺❤️
ReplyDeleteGood to remind ourselves and others that we are indeed all in this together!
ReplyDeleteInspiring quotes, my dear. I especially appreciate the one about not making resolutions or proclamations. Every day provides an opportunity to improve ourselves, accomplish a goal, and of course move forward. Be well!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard going through hard times but we do tend to grow and learn things along the way. Wow that mall sure had a lovely spring display and all those gorgeous flowers, how lovely!
ReplyDeleteI always like your uplifting posts, Linda. Great quotes and very good videos.
ReplyDeleteMany greetings :-)
there’s something comforting about simple walks and quiet moments like these...
ReplyDeleteI do like that tiger. He looks so like he enjoys his dinners!
