Keep going.
As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it. - Margaret Deland
Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire you. - Grace Coddington

One day at a time is all we should be dealing with. We can't go back to yesterday, we can't predict tomorrow, so let's live for today and make it beautiful.
The following photos are my own, which I took in a high end mall here in Montreal...the Royalmount. You can click on any image to see a larger view. I have no idea what this vehicle is, but many people were taking photos of it so I decided to do the same.
A statue in the mall.
This was a Porsche vehicle in the same mall.
There is a lilac tree not far from where I live and I took these last photos of it because the high heat and humidity strike here in Montreal, as they will not survive it. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
The following Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) was done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)

Love the photos. The little green car looks like it's almost smiling at us. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteLindos gatitos. Profunda reflexión. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteI do love my four season.
ReplyDeleteSome very wise quotes. Thank you
ReplyDeleteAlways come here to read all the quotes.. thank you for sharing it :D
ReplyDeleteIt is true that both spring and autumn are sweeter because of winter.
ReplyDeleteOh the lilacs remind me of my mom. How sweet, thank you for that lovely memory, Linda! I hope you have a pleasant week!!
ReplyDeleteSo many good ones today that I can't pick a favorite! I do love cats, I love 4 seasons and that car is pretty incredible.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, the feed updated in a pretty timely manner today!
The cars were in the mall? I'm sure some really appreciated them.
ReplyDeleteWise quotes, Linda. #3 fits me perfect today. ...and I love the first one, so true! Lilac, my favorite early summer flower. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThe one who falls and gets up is so much stronger than the one who never fell. - Unknown
ReplyDeleteI always like Pooh.
Love that green Porsche. I would take it.
Love the flowers too.
morning greetings from kuala lumpur! today is public holiday in malaysia to celebrate birthday of our king(official birthday as gazetted by the government). I just had my breakfast (fried vermicilli) and now I'm doing some work using my laptop, but of course needs to do blogwalking first! for today, i choose this quote: If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.! i love the lillac flower pics...it looks similar to hydrangea but the leaves are different. take care dear linda!
ReplyDelete..."As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it" sounds good."
ReplyDeleteBut many things can't be done easily these days. Neil Sedaka March 13, 1939 – February 27, 2026, RIP!
Hi Linda! I love today's theme - Live for Today! Don't ruminate about yesterday and don't worry about tomorrow (which I sometimes do) and appreciate today! Which I am as it is a public holiday!
ReplyDeleteHi again! Just popping back to tell you that we have watched 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas'. Thought it was so touching and good. Another one we watched recently was Truth and Treason, which is a true story from WWII about a teenager who stands up for truth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion!
Hello sweet, Linda! I hope you are doing well!!
ReplyDeleteI love this quote..."The one who falls and gets up is so much stronger than the one who never fell. "- Unknown
Thank you for sharing.
That first vehicle is definitely different.
I love lilac!!!
Hi, Linda 🥰 Beautiful words. Live our life today, don't worry for tomorrow. What a beautiful green Porsche there. Yes, I love cats. But I don't have one. No cat can replace my late cat. Still can't move on.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, cats have not forgotten. The quotes are wonderful as are the photos. Have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteHello, Linda. I am the anonymous comment that said, "Hello, Sweet Linda! I do not know why but I am having a hard time commenting. I apologize.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at that old people jam..thank you for the laugh and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of photos and inspiration quotes. Thank you so much for brightening my day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThese are all such wonderful, encouraging quotes—thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe videos are perfect for a good laugh and a sing-along... The lilac is so beautiful, as are those classic cars—but that figure is just adorable, looking so huge inside that exclusive department store.
Have a wonderful start to June! hugs Elke
My favorite is Maya Angelou's: "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style."
ReplyDeleteThat Porsche almost looks like it's grinning.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! All the sayings are very interesting, and my favorite is this one from Margaret Deland: As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat memes and The one who falls and gets up is so much stronger than the one who never fell - so true.
ReplyDeleteJust for Laughs did have me laughing, Linda. God post as usual.
Lovely quotes and photos, Linda. The lilac tree is so wonderful. They bloom here right now too.
ReplyDeleteCats are superior beings and should be adored by all 🐈⬛🐈🐾🐾🐈⬛🐈
ReplyDeleteGood morning Linda, beautiful inspirations. I love the cat ones! The lilacs are gorgeous. Sadly, they never last long. Have a beautiful day ♥
ReplyDeleteUne mine d'or ce matin chez toi, Linda !
ReplyDeleteBonne journée.
WOW ! This one really suits me. I think I shall try to live accordingly 🤔😀🥰 😎 "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style." ❤️ 🌺 🍎
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Porsche that looks so much like a froggie. I can't unsee it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Really love your positive energy! And you make us laugh! Thank you. xx
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your post Linda, lots of positive things to remember.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what goes for a heat strike in Canadian standards LOL We often have well over 47C here during summer. I laughed when I read that Finnish people want to die when it goes over 20C lol They would fully roast down here.
ReplyDeleteYes, cats are gods, I agree!
ReplyDeleteI truly never expected such words from "Arnie"! - "I´ll be back!"
I agree with Winter, but, oh. Does time has to run this fast in the nice time of the year?
Your first photo... Seems like Mercedes needs money and invests in watches (my Dad was a watchmaker and sometimes offered such watches, too).
I was always happy with my little Polos... ohhhh, you have high heat? Lucky you, dear friend Linda!
The old-peeps-parade sure had me laughing indeed. Because... they all were desperate but respectful!
Love how they saved the jaguar. Avellana... what a wonderful story! This made my day!
Much love and ... hmmm... cool hugs on the way? Here it´s only 15C!
Indeed our strength is forged during hardships!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the car seems to be one of AMG's F1 Racing cars.
The lilac flowers are lovely.
Have a lovely week!
Really love your positive energy and lovely quotes 🥰🥰🥰
ReplyDeleteYour page is absolutely beautiful, Linda! There are so many wonderful things to get lost in and enjoy. I have been a follower of "Just for Laughs Gags" for years and absolutely love them, that is actually how I first got to know Montreal, and especially Denis Levasseur! 🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteYou found some intersting things in that mall. The Porsche is pretty awesome but I would never be able to get in and out of that car.
ReplyDeleteLove the lilacs.
Great photos and quotes Linda. Cats are awesome :-D
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a cat too! But my dad's allergic, and since we're living in the same home, I've got to accept that 😅
ReplyDeleteThose photos of lilacs are beautiful, Linda. I like the quote from Winnie the Pooh the best.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love your lilacs! The malls here are like ghost towns, mostly empty stores. Great collection of inspiring words and images. Happy June! Take care, enjoy your day and happy week ahead!
Oh hey, that unknown vehicle has the Petronas logo. That's my country's national oil company, also my current client at work.
ReplyDeletethe lilacs did not do well around here this year. Mine never blooms because of the deer eating it. Lovely quotes this week.
ReplyDeleteReally did enjoy this most and the videos. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy lilacs.
ReplyDeleteI saw the old people crossing the street many years ago and it is funny. I liked the video of the dog learning to walk again.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, my friend. Those cars in the mall probably cost as much as a house! Love the lilacs, such a pretty color. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYep I have one of those cats!! LOL. My Mom's lilac bush was her favorite. Thank you for the reminder. Sadly around here all our malls have closed. Haven't been to one in over year. How fabulous to visit that one!
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs and I don't see them in the desert.
ReplyDeleteInteresting facts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wonderful words of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThe video of old people crossing the road is pretty funny. A couple of those drivers look just a few years away from being in the same shoes.
Bises
Linda, today I'm choosing Margaret Deland's quote: "As soon as you feel you are too old to do something, do it." It made me smile because so often we place limits on ourselves long before life does. And those lilacs were a gift. Knowing they don't last long with the heat you're having, it feels as if you photographed them just in time. Their colour is beautiful. A big hug.
ReplyDeleteGood evening, dear Linda. I wish you a very nice new month, June. Summer is coming, my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI know that Lilac tree has the most beautiful fragrance. it is so pretty. thank you Linda for another great post full of reminders and blessings.
ReplyDeleteWow, you did it again. Incredible post.
ReplyDeleteLizzie certainly hasn't forgotten -- she knows she is a goddess! That Porsche photo is especially wonderful with the mall window panels reflecting. I love that!
ReplyDeleteMuy bella conjuncion de imagenes y palabras.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful reminder to focus on the present moment. I love the positive message of this post: sometimes we spend so much time worrying about tomorrow that we forget to appreciate the joys and opportunities that today brings.
ReplyDeleteKisses
I wish Blogger would fix the side bar and updating blog posts. I came by your blog twice yesterday because mine was not updating. I can finally see your update today. Yay! Thank you for always sharing with us and I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBelinda
Amen to living each moment! Always inspirational!! xo
ReplyDeleteI am trying to live for the moment with all my strength. :)
ReplyDeleteMoin Dear Linda,
Ciekawe memy. Ja nie jestem ani zmęczona ani słaba. Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😍🤗🥰
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
ReplyDeleteLove the R. Frost quote that butterflies are flying flowers.
May
Have a nice week!
My cat approves of being considered a goddess. :) We can only live in today; yesterday is past and the future is unknowable. It's hard to do sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI go for 'your' flowers, Linda, not for the strange things...
ReplyDeleteFantastic gag!
Lie(f)s.
Thank you my dear, so many good ones today.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Week!!
Carla
A lovely collection of quotes and photos. The reminder to focus on today really resonates, and those lilac photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing a little inspiration and a glimpse of Montreal.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes of encouragement!!
ReplyDeleteLove today's selections! I totally agree with the cat FACTS. They do indeed think they are royalty and can do no wrong. HA HA
ReplyDeleteYes, the cat facts are accurate! I love them and have two.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that first meme purrfect? I love lilacs.
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed lilacs and their pretty scents!
ReplyDeleteOh those old people sloooowwwwly crossing the street is so funny
ReplyDelete( but not to those in their cars). The lilac is beautiful but as you say, won't last long when it get hot. Greetings from B.C.
Dear Linda, the Lilac flowers are so sweet, a lovely pastel soft colour of light purple 💜 such is life that all living beings have to move on so these lovely flowers also need to move on in the hot weather 🥵
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for the photo of the bear with the bonsai tree on the head. The meaning of this tree and bear is very very good as I found online:
ReplyDelete"
"The Wishing Bear" is a sculpture featuring a four-eared bear in pyjamas with a pink bonsai tree on its head. Influenced by Zen philosophy, this sculpture is a visual representation of the natural world, representing a peaceful and sustainable coexistence between the environment and its inhabitants. The bear, with its gentle kneeling pose, evokes feelings of spirituality and devotion, representing a genuine respect for the environment as well as a desire for a better future. Through its symbolic design, "The Wishing Bear" invites visitors to build connections, share stories, and create a collective commitment to protecting the planet for future generations."
Dear Linda, the car is most likely a formula one car. That is why so many people are taking photos of the car.
ReplyDeleteDo you watch formula one races?
So nice! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThat green car almost looks like it’s grinning!
My fave thought today is Maya Angelou’s reminder to be present in the moment, gratefully.
Thanks, Linda for this wonderful post. It is filled with lots of excellent quotes and images. Have a nice day.

ReplyDeletePozdrav iz Zagreba Croatia
Cats do behave like royalties, and so Maltese dogs! :) We had a Maltese, and these dogs have ancestors that wete ancient pharaohs' pets. Incredible how these lovely critters carry the aristocracy in their blood!
ReplyDeleteLove your post! I have 2 cats so I definitely agree with the cat memes. So much to love and inspiration from your post. We all need this!
ReplyDeleteOh cats rule - don't they. Your quotes and descriptions must come from experience with these special felines! Thanks for such encouraging words and lovely music. Have a special day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love the cat quotes despite not having a kitty anymore. Lovely to be reminded of 'Laughter In The Rain' - haven't heard it in years.
ReplyDeleteThose are all purrfectly wonderful, I enjoyed them all!
ReplyDeleteOi, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI like that Anne Bradstreet quote. So true.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts Linda and great words too xXx
ReplyDeleteThat is one interesting vehicle for sure:)
ReplyDeleteYour messages for Sunday were perfect as always. I have always loved Johann Strauss.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Wonderful selections, Linda, I like the bright quotes. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMany greetings
Cats have certainly not forgotten that, at least not the ones in my life (past and present).
ReplyDeletemorning greetings from kuala lumpur. today is wednesday and majority Malaysian resume working today after extended weekend (public holidays). I work from home today as need to do marking for test papers (my undergraduate students). for today, i choose this quote: Live for today! Yesterday is a cashed check and cannot be negotiated. Tomorrow is a promissory note and cannot be utilized today. Today is cash in hand. Spend it wisely.... take care dear linda!
ReplyDeleteyou find the best memes, they always inspire me!! i am not a fan of the green color of the porsche but LOVE those lilacs. they have been my favorite since childhood!!
ReplyDeleteIndians consider cows sacred animals. But cats also have their religion.
ReplyDeleteKiitos Linda!
ReplyDeleteSuomessa syreenit vasta aloittelevat kukintaansa. Hurmaava tuoksu tuntuu jo kauas.
As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it. - Margaret Deland
ReplyDeleteThis is me. BIG things I need to do but I'm not sure I have the energy. Forcing myself to do them anyway.
As always, thank you for the lift! Much appreciated.
Some great quotes you've included. Your cat memes made me chuckle and look back fondly at some of the cats we've owned (or did they own us?) :)
ReplyDeleteSo many great quotes! I chuckled at the cat not forgetting it was revered as a god. Yep.
ReplyDeleteAm liebsten lese ich die Katzenzitate. Vielleicht weil ich eine Katze habe.
ReplyDeleteThe cats still haven't forgotten that; talk about a good memory, Hans.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for a great post.
Always good to read through your memes.
Lovely photographs here too.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
enrico
Oh very interesting
ReplyDeleteWonderful, uplifting post. The cat quote made me laugh so much, and the photos of the lilac before the heatwave are beautiful. Thank you for this dose of good energy.
ReplyDeleteThe first two I can so agree with since I also have cats :)
ReplyDeleteThe lilacs don't last long do they, something we need to appreciate while they are blooming. Like many of the quotes you shared we need to live for every moment we have!
Thank you for another beautiful collection of quotes and photos, Linda. Reading your blog is always the perfect way to unwind and feel inspired. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!"
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the inspirational quotes and the videos and your photos. I think those flowers are lilacs; they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTodas maravillosas, me gustan todas. Tus fotografías son muy bonitas. Que tengas un feliz día.
ReplyDeleteYour collection of quotes, photos, and reflections creates such a peaceful moment in the middle of a busy day, and the mix of humor, encouragement, and beauty makes the whole post feel uplifting; the lilac photos are especially lovely and add a soft, calming touch.
ReplyDeletethe unidentified vehicle is quite a conversation starter! I would have taken a photo of it too. the statue and porsche add a nice touch to your mall visit, but my favorite photos are the lilacs. their color is absolutely beautiful, and you captured them perfectly...
ReplyDeleteLove the mall photos.
ReplyDelete
