Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog know that I don't often make any suggestions or recommendations. I saw a movie a few days ago and found it very powerful. It is on YouTube and the title is "Nobody's Child" starring Marlo Thomas. This movie is based on a true story and focuses on mental health awareness. If you are interested in mental health, I think you will find this movie very touching...and hopeful! To find the movie on YouTube, do a search...Nobody's Child movie, Marlo Thomas. This should help you find the link. What I love ❤️ about this movie is it shows how, if we look at another person in a positive way and can see the potential rather than feeling that they or the situation is hopeless, how our kindness and love can have a positive impact on them. Fantastic movie, in my opinion.

The following photos are my own, which I took on my walks here in Montreal. These were beautiful flowers that I found outside of a funeral home! I had to take these photos, I thought they were so pretty! You can click on any image to see a larger view. As usual, I don't know what type of flowers they are.

I am just going to take a guess that the yellow ones are Petunias?

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done in Europe! Enjoy!  :)

A tiny angry squeaking frog (BBC)

Snoring hummingbird  :) (BBC)

Green Tambourine - The Lemon Pipers

Let's twist again - Chubby Checker (1961)

  12. The movie sounds very good and worthwhile to watch. It goes with the favorite of todays quote you shared - the one on a small acti of kindness making a big difference to someone. I've been trying to be more aware of that kind of thing.

  13. Hello Linda. Wonderful quotes today. I think anyone can see a part of themselves in them. As someone who works in the field of mental health, I can fully understand the need for a social circle built on kindness and acceptance. Of course, finding those people is anything but easy. But it is worth the effort

  19. I can’t argue with Kant about judging people by how they treat animals. I also agree with the camera quote. It’s not the camera.

  20. I try to be like Einstein, at least when it comes to talking to people (physics is another matter.)

  22. "we can judge the heart of a man by his treatment to animals" - totally agree! How someone treats an animal is widely considered a direct reflection of their core character.

The one below is my favorite.

To me, everyone is equal, so I would do the same.
The photos of the flowers are beautiful.

  32. Most of those memes/quotes are so true, Linda, always.
Just for Laughs was really funny, I ddid so laugh at that one and the two animal ones were good and the noise is quiet piercing for me. Chubby Checker will never forget that song and you photos are pretty of the flowers. Nice post.

The sad thing is that the majority of people enable these office sociopaths!
    Such pretty flowers you photograhed!

  38. The smallest act of kindness can make a huge difference in a persons life.
    Those flowers are beautiful.

  39. Linda, of all the quotes, the one that resonates most with me is the one by Max Frisch: "Time does not change us. It simply reveals us." The older I get, the more sense it makes. We often think we have become a different person, when in reality we are gradually revealing what was already there.
By the way, the yellow flowers are Calibrachoa, commonly known as mini petunias, and the bright pink flower in the foreground is a Petunia. Both were beautiful, and I can completely understand why you decided to photograph them.
    A big hug.

  82. Well, I really liked many of these, but the quote that got to me was, "I speak to everyone in the same way." That sounds like me, and I don't favor people with higher income or status, and just really connect with the person if they are kind, compassionate, and sincere. Thanks for the suggestion on the movie. I will check it out right now! Happy second day of summer, Linda!
