Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog know that I don't often make any suggestions or recommendations. I saw a movie a few days ago and found it very powerful. It is on YouTube and the title is "Nobody's Child" starring Marlo Thomas. This movie is based on a true story and focuses on mental health awareness. If you are interested in mental health, I think you will find this movie very touching...and hopeful! To find the movie on YouTube, do a search...Nobody's Child movie, Marlo Thomas. This should help you find the link. What I love ❤️ about this movie is it shows how, if we look at another person in a positive way and can see the potential rather than feeling that they or the situation is hopeless, how our kindness and love can have a positive impact on them. Fantastic movie, in my opinion.
The following photos are my own, which I took on my walks here in Montreal. These were beautiful flowers that I found outside of a funeral home! I had to take these photos, I thought they were so pretty! You can click on any image to see a larger view. As usual, I don't know what type of flowers they are.
I am just going to take a guess that the yellow ones are Petunias?
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done in Europe! Enjoy! :)

Snoring hummingbird :) (BBC)

I have that Maya Angelou quote stuffed in one of my daily meditation books. It's interesting to see how my understanding of it changes from year to year.
Olá, Linda, gostei imensamente desta sua excelente postagem, com ótimas imagens e citações muito verdadeiras. Votos de uma ótima semana, com muita paz aí no seu belo país. Um abraço.
The movie sounds very good and worthwhile to watch. It goes with the favorite of todays quote you shared - the one on a small acti of kindness making a big difference to someone. I've been trying to be more aware of that kind of thing.
Hello Linda. Wonderful quotes today. I think anyone can see a part of themselves in them. As someone who works in the field of mental health, I can fully understand the need for a social circle built on kindness and acceptance. Of course, finding those people is anything but easy. But it is worth the effort
Great quotes by past presidents, that movie you suggested sounds interesting, will have to check it out. The flowers are gorgeous! Wishing you a great week ahead!
Dear Linda, lovely flowers photos that you took. Funeral homes here I have not seen any flowers growing in gardens 😂 I think you are right, the yellow flowers are petunias. Have a good week ahead! ☀️ 🌹
"we can judge the heart of a man by his treatment to animals" - totally agree! How someone treats an animal is widely considered a direct reflection of their core character.
I love starting a new week with your cats and quotes. The colours ! 💜🩷💜 This made me laugh: ". . . trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body." 😀

ReplyDeleteI can’t argue with Kant about judging people by how they treat animals. I also agree with the camera quote. It’s not the camera.
ReplyDeleteI try to be like Einstein, at least when it comes to talking to people (physics is another matter.)
ReplyDeleteAwesome quotes, Linda.
ReplyDeleteBe kind is something I was taught from age 2. To everyone, human or animal. Be Kind.
