The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone on my walks here in Montreal. These photos are the remainder of the photos from my last post, taken outside of a funeral home. I don't know what the flowers are, I just found them so pretty. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
As in my last post, I took a guess that these yellow flowers are Petunias. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Such encouraging words, Linda! I woke up feeling a bit down but I told myself that I have much to be thankful for. I feel better now. Oh, those flowers are so colorful and so very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis quote is so true. "Everyone is going through a lot right now. I hope we all find peace." Wonderful post, Linda, have a great day.
ReplyDelete...Karen Salmansohn is new to me. I've tried to live my life not a group project. I live it like my name is on the cover. Thanks Linda, be well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely and peaceful post! Your photos of the yellow flowers are beautiful they definitely look like petunias to me, and they bring so much brightness to the page. Thank you for creating this little corner of serenity for us to unwind.
ReplyDeleteYou choose wisely, you did make my day.
ReplyDeleteWell - this is still not up on my reader, I had to look for it. I love that you included those last 2 songs - brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteYou do such a good job of collecting these things and putting things with like meanings together. It has to take a lot of time! Thank you!
The flowers are so colorful and bright!
ReplyDeleteI really like that painting by Lucie Bilodeau. I just looked at her work. She has some beautiful wolves. The details are outstanding. Thanks for the introduction!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, the flowers are so colourful, violet, yellow and pink 🩷
ReplyDeleteHave a good day 🌞
Thanks for your comment about the posting time of my latest blog post. I've also been having trouble with the blogger reader. My post before this one didn't ever appear in the blogger reader and hardly had any pageviews.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the petunias! I especially like the quote about putting our names on the title pages of our lives. We do have agency in how we choose to live.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your flowers are beautiful and your quotes are so inspirational as always. I feel so good after a visit to your blog..
ReplyDeleteYou always know how to bring a smile to my day, Linda. Aaw Puff the Magic Dragon- now that brings back a lot of fond memories. Have a great day. Hugs.
ReplyDeletePleasant quotes, wise quotes . . . It's all good ☘️ and enjoyable to read.
ReplyDeleteEverything is easier on my new computer. The page scrolls fluently.
"How deep is the mud?" Hah hah poor little mutts 🧡
Green Acres 💚 😊
Big pigs 💚 😊
This one is my favourite for today :"Your life is not a group project. Live it like your name is on the cover." and your flowers are gorgeous I also had to laught at the video of the police dancing test lol
ReplyDeleteI love the Bill Murray quote ;-)
ReplyDeleteEarning the trust and love of a NON-feral cat isn't always that easy.
ReplyDeleteAwesome life quotes! Thank you, Linda.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful—and I think you're spot on with the name, too!
ReplyDeleteYou have such valuable words of wisdom for us, not to mention those great videos!
Many thanks, and have a wonderful few days.. hugs Elke
I love cats. 🥰
ReplyDeleteGood morning Linda, I think life is like a sport, and we all struggle to reach the finish. I had a good laugh about Bill Murray. Such a funny joke and completely true. Beautiful photos! The flower is called a Geranium, so full of color. I have them in my garden too. Hope you’re having a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Linda. I came to visit you to wish you a lovely Sunday. I found a quote from your blog: "Everyone is going through a lot right now. I hope we all find peace." I feel the same way. We need peaceful leadership across the world.
DeleteThe cat painting from Lucie Bilodeau is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, fear kills more dreams that failure ever can!
Oh, I loved Green Acres :D
Have a nice weekend!
The pink ones in the first photo are your usual geraniums, deary, I am surprised you don't have them in your window, here we all have them in all colours on our balconies and window sills.
ReplyDeleteBill Murray nails it, dear friend Linda! I like the clever car-reference, too. And the mud! Beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteCute dog-dolphin-play. And the pig!
Warm hugs (we might get 40C) and much love on the way.
Lovely post Linds, nice to see the happy pig greeting the recycleman. Puff the Magic Dragon was a favourite song in my youth.
ReplyDeleteOops Linda not Linds :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the quotes and the cute kitties.
The flowers are looking beautiful. Wishing you peace and joy today!
I love the Bill Murray quote too, Linda. Lovely petunias!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Deus caritas est!
ReplyDeleteI always love the pictures you share with us. Such colorful, happy flowers!
ReplyDeleteI like the quote about the feral cats because it reminds me of the second feral cat my sister took in. Very cautious and hissy for years and then, from one second to the other, he decided to sit in her lap in the garden and move in.
Very pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to watch an episode of Greenacres now, and hear Eva say electricical. Oliver wearing a suit while farming seemed rather odd.
ReplyDeleteThank you for always inspiring me! Love your posts!
ReplyDeleteI've been able to forgive but forgetting is another story.
ReplyDeleteAll those flowers are so pretty.
Paljon kaikkea kivaa.
ReplyDeleteLovely post in total, Linda. I would have been suspicious in Just for Laughs as soon as they started dancing..lol
ReplyDeleteThey are so good. I love the muddy dogs😊
ReplyDeleteNever let the things you want...make you forget the things you have. - Unknown. This is a good one!!! Enjoy your day, dear Linda.
ReplyDeleteMany good thoughts here, including, “ Never let the things you want...make you forget the things you have.” Should be rain here today, so I presume there too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely and encouraging post. I always enjoy the calm and positive atmosphere you create. It’s a gentle reminder to appreciate each day, stay hopeful, and find happiness in the little moments that make life special.
ReplyDeleteKisses
I love the yellow and pink in the flowers. Great captions as well, Linda. Wishing you a yummy, fun and super chill day ahead. Thank you for the kind words about my art.
ReplyDeleteThat feral cat thing ... they don't tell you about the gophers and lizards running around inside the house.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post and videos. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteLast year Green Acres was on at a convenient time (right before the evening news). I watched it quite a bit, and remembered how much I had enjoyed it. Then the schedule changed and it's not at a convenient time any more.
ReplyDeleteForgive my lateness!! My favorite today is the Bill Murray quote!! I'm a 10-gallon blood donor. That one made me smile!! xo
ReplyDeletethe flowers are so colorful and pretty! I would go for daily walks with such lovely view!
Saludos.
I truly hope that everyone finds peace, whatever that may look like in their own life. The flowers are beautiful, like a painting brought to life. Thank you for sharing such rich and thoughtful content with us. In your own way, I think you are helping people find a little more peace as well.
ReplyDeleteThe first cat is Frieda's twin, right down to the expression. What Bill Murray said hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteWhen I opened this, I totally freaked out! Your first photo credits Gina Greenlee -- who happens to be one of my best friends (and not a blogger but definitely a cat person!) I just sent her your link and asked if this was one of her cat-kids. How many Gina Greenlees can there be? I looked at Purrs of Wisdom but couldn't find this image there! How fun is that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteFrom the quotes, I like the best the one about learning life and then living it.
Thank you for spreading so much warmth and positivity all the way from Canada!
ReplyDeleteWise and beautiful quotes. I particularly liked the 4th one, I also hope that everyone can find peace.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so colorful flowers.
I loved the 2nd film with the dolphin.
Greetings and hugs
Those are all wonderful and very wise too!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, always give 100% - unless you're donating blood. - Bill Murray :)
ReplyDeleteHa Ha ... I am still laughing at the one above. So fun Linda, thank you.
Have a great weekend.
Carla
I liked that Bill Murray quote, Linda, and of course, your photos of the flowers are gorgeous. I do believe those are petunias, too.
ReplyDeleteI loved your flower photos - they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow deep is the mud? Depends on who you ask. We all go through the same stuff differently.
Isn't that the truth?
Your flowers make me happy, dear Linda.
ReplyDeleteDancing gag, nice!
Hope you can see my new blog in your news reader. Don't know wat happen...?!
Lie(f)s.
@So nice, Linda, to have 'a friend' so far away, who doesn't look to all my English mistakes! Thank you!
DeleteLie(f)s.
How deep is the mud? - It's all the same to a pup, it's a playground!! Sweet and bright flowers, Linda!
ReplyDelete-Soma
Pretty petunias 🌼
ReplyDeleteI have rescued several feral cats, it is an honour to be trusted by them.
Outside a funeral home. Huh. Well, I guess they would have all the nice flowers. Calming.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful. Happiness most time is in our attitude. :)
ReplyDeleteHello, Linda! Those flowers are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this quote you shared..
"Appreciate this moment. Stop and look around you. Be thankful for all you have and where you are because this time next year, nothing will be the same."
Hello Linda, I hope you had a happy Wednesday... good wishes for the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy seeing the pretty flowers in your photographs and Puff the Magic Dragon took me back to childhood days.
All the best Jan
The flowers are such pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteProfunda reflexión. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look so cheerful, Linda, and the quotes you’ve gathered are uplifting as always.
ReplyDeleteI leave your blog feeling lighter and more positive--it’s such a nice place to stop by.
Haven't heard that Peter, Paul and Mary song for years! Absolutely love it. If our youthful imagination lasted forever, Puff would always be with us and never fade into that cave. :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers in the boxes are bright and cheerful. Petunias are so reliable! Have a good weekend, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your messages and the cat purring :))
ReplyDeleteHug, Andreja!
Wonderful quotes ❤️
ReplyDeleteInteresting post
ReplyDeleteYes, we should all try to forgive and forget, so we could find peace. Those are very colourful and pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
So nice to hear the Green Acres theme song again, I used to love that show!
ReplyDeletePetunia is petunia in Finnish language too.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend Linda.
Koty
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this wonderful dose of smiles! Things are still a complete renovation Armageddon at our house, but we're slowly making our way toward the finish line.
Yesterday, a new resident arrived at our home—a tiny kitten who had lost his mother and, before finding his way to us, had quite an incredible adventure.
Once we finish the work on the house, I'll write a post about our renovation and about the kitten as well.
Sending you lots of hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these reflections with us!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, another awesome post liked this one-enjoyed the flowers too hugs from the lake
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to read these quotes. My 3 favorite is the mud, the one by Bill Murray and also the first one. And oh those flowers are really lovely. I hope you're having a wonderful week and have a super weekend also.

ReplyDeleteLinda, dear Blogfriend, being happy is important. Thank you for sharing this wisdom, this quotes. Greetings by Heidrun
ReplyDeleteThanks for these words of wisdom!
ReplyDeleteSo many great quotes. These are great.
ReplyDeleteAdmirable and beautiful post
ReplyDeleteawesome quotes today!! i always tell myself "no one is responsible for my happiness but me'!! i watched the dolphin video twice, what an amazing creature. i got a good chuckle a the sobriety video...so fun!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely certain whether the quote saying "Your life is not a group project. Live it like your name is on the cover" is completely agreeable by me. I mean, yes, be yourself and be authentic to yourself - that's extremely important. One shouldn't be trying to please other people by changing, by trying to become a herd animal. Oh no, absolutely not. But we should act in favour of the advancement of our society, of its rebuilding and its progress into, hopefully, better days. Complete individualism, and complete overlooking of the needs of our planet and our society, can lead to much more harm than good. We're social primates, so we cannot ignore life as a group project. It should be an emancipatory group project, benefiting all. That's what I would say to this matter.

,Pink geraniums and yellow Calibrachoas make a great combination. Your park haas such pretty blooms. I would have failed that dancing sobriety test even if I was fully sober. I remember Green Acres from my childhood, when it was originally shown. Have a great week, Linda!
ReplyDeleteBoa noite, minha querida amiga Linda.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, there are so many inspiring quotes on here today, but the ones that spoke to me are "your life is not a group project." And also the "Kindness" quote. That was so precious. And the Jasmine Tiger is so interesting looking. I wanted to thank you for the recommendation of the movie, "Nobody's Child" I watched it the other day, and I really liked it. It was incredible the way she turned her life around. Marlo Thomas is such a good actress. You always recommend movies that I've enjoyed, and I just wanted to thank you. There's nothing like a good movie, right? I wish you beautiful July days coming up. : )
ReplyDeleteI called my daughter over to look at the 'how deep is the mud' one. Such a good way of getting the message across. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post full of beautiful inspirations and wise words. The photos from Montreal are lovely, and the whole selection of quotes and videos really brightens the mood. Thank you for this boost of positive energy, and warm regards!
