Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by! I hope that today's choices will bring a positive start to your week!
All you need to worry about is taking care of yourself, and you're doing a good job of that.
Did you know this about cats? Cats sleep for 70% of their lives. Female cats are typically right-pawed, males are typically left-pawed. Cats are more popular than dogs in America: 88 millions cats vs 74 million dogs. Cats make more than 100 sounds. Dogs only make 10. Owning a cat reduces your heart attack risk by more than a third.

Good morning Linda! I hope you are having a good day and I wish you a great week ahead! I never thought of cats being right pawed or left pawed. How fascinating! I must observe my girls to check if they are right or left pawed though it might not be that obvious.
ReplyDelete"I have P.M.A. (positive mental attitude) I'm positive, I'm mental and I know I have attitude! " This quote is absolutely hilarious! But has some truth because I fell that way sometimes.
Depression is a terrible thing, I have been through it and it helps to talk it out to someone who is kind and understanding. Indeed we are not alone as many people do and have experienced depression.
That sheep driving that vehicle--OMGosh! That was amazing!
ReplyDeleteAlways a cheery post. :)
I loved the part about cats. My little black cat, whom I didn't want at all but took for a year, has been a joy and stress/depression reliever. My younger daughter needed me to babysit her for a year while she taught in South Korea; when she returned, I was unwilling to give the cat back. That was 10 years ago. I thought I didn't want a cat at all but now we are madly in love with each other!
ReplyDeleteAnother post with such great things that you found. I thought the facts about cats was interesting. I would never have guessed that they are more popular than dogs.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the shepherd and sheep from the expo is so cool!
Thank you for the photos of the park. I love how the plants were shaped.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Do you like cats very much??
ReplyDeleteI loved the cat statistics (and learned something new). That topiary (?) sculpture at St. Helen's is a stunner. The shepherd statue s pretty amazing too and I love the sheep.

ReplyDeleteThe photos from Expo67 are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteDepression is no stranger to me either, and I enjoy your encouraging words and all the funny animals and everything else. The day also begins differently, namely more positively, more determined to do something during the phases of melancholy!!
Together we are stronger than you can imagine, dear Linda.
Have a good time , hugs Elke
Expressed so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that about the cats. They say, silence is golden. Just for laughs is good..lol

Saludos.

ReplyDeletegreat selections...my favorite was the positive circle!!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, I am so sorry I missed out! I was (and am) knackered.
ReplyDeleteBut then.. I took care of myself?
I should get a cat? No. After I saw the suffering with my friend´s cat, Max was his name, (and I lost a mouse, I am not kidding).... my heart is too small to take the pain of letting them go.
Thank youu for all the input. I call my Bro today.
And imperfection is OK. As my friend fK says, "easy... they all can do that!".
I met "Canadians" in Cuba. Some spoke "perfect" English but some... my French was not good enough. Would you care to tell on your blog what to expect if visiting... when visiting your country?
Love the sheep!!! Oh, so cute.
That car... Cuba!
And Kiki!!!
Would I like to talk to you, with a pizza, maybe... I read a book by a "scientist" - "If animals could talk". - what a dumb man. Thank you for clarifying once again.... we are BEINGS, ALL of us!
A complete collection of quotes, Linda. I was intrigued by the reference to left-handed and right-handed cats.
ReplyDeleteKisses and have a good week.
The shepherd tending his sheep is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSiempre he sido más de gatos que de perros, Aunque ahora no los tengo, de niña siempre había gatos en casa, lo que no hemos tenido nunca un perro.

ReplyDeleteI love the Roald Dahl quote and that sheep is amazing!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the messages about cats, especially the one saying that the risk of a heart attack is reduced by one-third. I wonder—if I have three cats, does that multiply the effect?
The story about the disabled little sheep who’s doing so well is very touching and fascinating.
Warm regards!
this smoothie recipe looks so good and refreshing for the Hot summer we are having. Depression is a serious issue in our world and one thing that can help is kindness and understanding from others. These are some great quotes today... Thanks Linda for the positive spirit here today..
Caminhar descalço nesta grama verde deve deixar a saúde maravilhosa. Recomendo, assim como é importante abraçar uma árvore para equilibrar as energias!
Tenha um lindo restante de semana querida!!:))))
One of my two female cats uses her paw to take food from the bowl sometimes. Must check which one! I wonder if having more cats multiplies lowering the risk of heart problems... But anyway, having cats is anti depressing.
ReplyDeleteSome very important thoughts here today. Hope you've had a good day too. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! I believe cats are the perfect pet, although dogs are pretty great too. I miss my Katie so much!
