These photos are my own, which I took on Monday, March 23rd. If you don't like snow or are tired of seeing it, please ignore this photo. Yes, we got snow here in Montreal over the weekend and it snowed on Monday as well, but in the latter part of the day. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

I took this selfie at a restaurant where I had breakfast. I do like to go out for breakfast around once a week. I don't smoke, drink alcohol, go to concerts, operas, movies or sporting events, and I don't go to casinos, play slot machines or buy lottery tickets or travel, so this is what I like to do when I go out! I took this photo through a mirror, as I find I am not as "shy" this way! LOL!  :)

I fell this morning, face first, on the sidewalk. No, not on snow or ice, although there is still some around, but this was on the pavement. There was absolutely no ice or snow anywhere near the spot that I fell. I must have tripped on a crack or something! Please don't worry, I am fine, thank God! I am showing a picture of the small injury I sustained in this fall. It is a bruise and scrape on my left knee. I was walking to get a blood test, which was just about a 20 minute walk, when I fell.

After my blood test, I took the bus to a shopping mall. I had a light breakfast at Tim Horton's in the food court. My breakfast was only around $6.50 Canadian, pretty good! I ordered two mini omelets (which are pretty small, but I don't eat a lot, so it was just perfect for me) The omelets I ordered were 1. spinach and 2. bacon, both were delicious! I had a small coffee with these mini omelets. After my breakfast, I did some shopping at one of my favourite stores, Dollarama! :)

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)

  1. I'm sorry you fell! But glad you are ok except the scrape. That can happen so quickly. I like the selfie too!
Good thoughts on bravery and courage. I love the one with the kitten and the stuffed dog.

  2. Sorry about your fall, but I'm glad it's not worse.
"The only thing better than cat books is reading a cat book to a cat." Well, you know that I'm reading to mine ;-)

  5. Oh ouch on the fall and that scrape on the knee. I have done that exact same thing before and it hurts...both the knee and the pride! I'm glad you weren't hurt worse, and that you still managed to have a nice morning after your lab work. Those mini omelettes look good! I've never had that before...I mean, I make myself omelettes, but they don't look like that! That looks like fun! I love your selfie too. I'm waving back at you. I enjoyed all the quotes and pictures. I'm becoming more partial to the ones with cats, especially black cats since I have one and he's becoming more of a "member of the family" every day. Thank you for taking the time to find these and share them with us. I love the Beatle's Help, and Sonny and Cher "Baby Don't Go. I remember when those songs were new. I'm that old. LOl. Have a lovely day/week.

  9. Yikes, falling is never good. I've had a few of my own (most recently, New Year's Eve), so I sympathize. And don't worry, I don't get sick of seeing snow. It's a novelty as I never see it in real life. (It never snows here.)

  10. Oh dear, Linda! I am relieved you were not seriously hurt from the fall. It was unfortunate but all is well, thank God! I love your selfie, you looked happy and relaxed. Your breakfast sounds delicious! Can I say that you are very much a prefer-to-stay-at-home person? I am like that, I don't go out much either except when I am running errands. I love the quotes on courage and bravery. I find myself not so brave and not so courageous sometimes. LOL!

  11. Glad that your fall resulted in only a little scrape, that is good news. I enjoy a nice breakfast out once in awhile too. I didn't know Tim's has mini omelettes now. Guess I'm too fixated on donuts, LOL. That baby mouse video is cute, I'm going to send it to my sister.

I have been slammed this week and need to slow down and let go of some things.
I am sorry you fell. I hope your blood tests show up good. No more snow.

  15. I'm so sorry you fell. It is such a shock to your system, isn't it? It is such a far way down! I am glad that was your only injury and you were able to continue on your day! I have fallen a few times too and it is scary!!

  16. Hope you have not had too much bruising from your fall. Great post.

  17. Oh, no on the fall--but it looks and sounds like you're OK. I too love breakfast out and am crazy about omelets! Still snowy, my goodness. When will it be spring? I don't think we can be brave unless we're afraid and push our way through it. I like the Abdelnour quote. I'm sometimes not great about asking for help when I need it, but I'm getting better.

  18. morning greetings from kuala lumpur, although it is almost afternoon, and I have online class today at 1 pm. It's a relief to know that u are ok (so worried to read about lil unfortunate thing that happened to u, thanks God, u are ok!). i love all your snow pics and i even love more of your selfie! u look good and younger than your actual age! Dollarama sounds cute name-- is that a normal grocery store or a shopping mall? I hope one day i could travel to montreal, though it is very faraway from Malaysia. I'm travelling to europe in coming may for a worktrip and really praying and hoping that the war in middle east countries will stop soon as it really affects almost everyone in the world (domino effect of fuel hike)... take care dear linda!!
