I'm sorry you fell! But glad you are ok except the scrape. That can happen so quickly. I like the selfie too!
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts on bravery and courage. I love the one with the kitten and the stuffed dog.
Sorry about your fall, but I'm glad it's not worse.
ReplyDelete"The only thing better than cat books is reading a cat book to a cat." Well, you know that I'm reading to mine ;-)
Oh dear Linda, I was sorry to read about your fall but pleased you are okay.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely selfie.
Do take care and enjoy the days ahead.
All the best Jan
Oh ouch on the fall and that scrape on the knee. I have done that exact same thing before and it hurts...both the knee and the pride! I'm glad you weren't hurt worse, and that you still managed to have a nice morning after your lab work. Those mini omelettes look good! I've never had that before...I mean, I make myself omelettes, but they don't look like that! That looks like fun! I love your selfie too. I'm waving back at you. I enjoyed all the quotes and pictures. I'm becoming more partial to the ones with cats, especially black cats since I have one and he's becoming more of a "member of the family" every day. Thank you for taking the time to find these and share them with us. I love the Beatle's Help, and Sonny and Cher "Baby Don't Go. I remember when those songs were new. I'm that old. LOl. Have a lovely day/week.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post except for the part where you fell. I'm glad you are OK. I love seeing the photo of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wisdom and the fun! So sorry you had that fall and now have a bruise and a scab to worry with! So glad it wasn't worse! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBeing brave isn't the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it. - Bear Grylis
ReplyDeleteThis is so true.
God bless.
Yikes, falling is never good. I've had a few of my own (most recently, New Year's Eve), so I sympathize. And don't worry, I don't get sick of seeing snow. It's a novelty as I never see it in real life. (It never snows here.)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Linda! I am relieved you were not seriously hurt from the fall. It was unfortunate but all is well, thank God! I love your selfie, you looked happy and relaxed. Your breakfast sounds delicious! Can I say that you are very much a prefer-to-stay-at-home person? I am like that, I don't go out much either except when I am running errands. I love the quotes on courage and bravery. I find myself not so brave and not so courageous sometimes. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGlad that your fall resulted in only a little scrape, that is good news. I enjoy a nice breakfast out once in awhile too. I didn't know Tim's has mini omelettes now. Guess I'm too fixated on donuts, LOL. That baby mouse video is cute, I'm going to send it to my sister.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful photo of you! I did not know Tim Horton's is a restaurant. I thought they only sold coffee. We have a box.
ReplyDeleteYou look very cheerful in your photo. Good that you didn't let that fall keep you down,
ReplyDeleteIt takes courage to say yes to rest and play in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol. - Brene Brown
ReplyDeleteI have been slammed this week and need to slow down and let go of some things.
I am sorry you fell. I hope your blood tests show up good. No more snow.
I'm so sorry you fell. It is such a shock to your system, isn't it? It is such a far way down! I am glad that was your only injury and you were able to continue on your day! I have fallen a few times too and it is scary!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have not had too much bruising from your fall. Great post.
ReplyDeleteOh, no on the fall--but it looks and sounds like you're OK. I too love breakfast out and am crazy about omelets! Still snowy, my goodness. When will it be spring? I don't think we can be brave unless we're afraid and push our way through it. I like the Abdelnour quote. I'm sometimes not great about asking for help when I need it, but I'm getting better.
ReplyDeletemorning greetings from kuala lumpur, although it is almost afternoon, and I have online class today at 1 pm. It's a relief to know that u are ok (so worried to read about lil unfortunate thing that happened to u, thanks God, u are ok!). i love all your snow pics and i even love more of your selfie! u look good and younger than your actual age! Dollarama sounds cute name-- is that a normal grocery store or a shopping mall? I hope one day i could travel to montreal, though it is very faraway from Malaysia. I'm travelling to europe in coming may for a worktrip and really praying and hoping that the war in middle east countries will stop soon as it really affects almost everyone in the world (domino effect of fuel hike)... take care dear linda!!
ReplyDeleteA fine collection of quotes!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you fell. I was tripped over a tree route and fell on my face! I was embarrassed and got a scrape on my nose.
Thank you so much for the selfie! I'm sorry about the fall, but I'm so glad you weren't hurt worse. ❤️
ReplyDeleteLove this! Thank you as always for your uplifting posts, Linda. Hope you're doing well!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you fell...it could be really dangerous. Love the beautiful quotes. The one from Bear Grylis is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to know you didn't do too much damage to yourself when you fell. You must have felt well enough to do your shopping. I admit that Dollarama is a favourite for me too. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh, Linda, I am so sorry you fell. I am glad you are okay though!! Bless it. I hope you are doing okay!!!! I came by to check in!!! I always love my visits. This is one of my favorite quotes you shared, "Being brave isn't the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it." - Bear Grylis
ReplyDeleteHugs and I LOVE YOUR SELFIE!!!
Oh, man I forgot to log in. I am the comment saying I loved your selfie, I am sorry so much you fell but glad you are alright, sending hugs and my favorite quote...Being brave isn't the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it. - Bear Grylis

ReplyDeleteOuch! Be careful.
ReplyDeleteAfter all these motivational quotes I'm sure you got up on your feet right after the fall ❤️🥰 because the quotes stay with you. They really work. Lovely selfie and I also love the tortoise 💚
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear about your fall, Linda. Glad to hear you're ok and you treated yourself to a nice breakfast after. Love all the cat quotes. Take care, hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda My favourite quote: "When life puts you in tough situations, don't say "Why me?" Say "Try me." It has something powerful Not to control your fear but to all up for it lol. Oh what a lot of snow still You've got a long winter. Good on you getting breakfast You fully deserrve to have your pleasures Greetings from NZ
ReplyDeleteThe dog in the pool recuse as rather amazing to watch.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are ok after falling.
I'm so sorry to hear you fell. At least, it is nothing serious, just a scrap. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAdorable animal photos and inspiration. I love cats and dogs!
I'm so glad, dear Linda, that you didn't have anything worse happen in your fall; what you have now is quite enough.
ReplyDeleteSo, snow again where you are? We're having such extreme April weather.
His breakfast looks delicious, and you took some great photos.
Thank you for all the wonderful wisdom, quotes, and great videos!
I wish you peaceful days!
Love and hugs, Elke
Thank Heavenly Father that you didn't get a concussion when you fell. Falling on your face is the worst. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThankfully no real damage done🙏
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you fell, glad you are ok. Great inspiring quotes, be brave.
I love your selfie, the breakfast looks yummy. Take care, have a great day!
"Try me" was my fav, dear friend Linda.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I had a customer who was "brave"... from a distance. Very sad...
Nice to see you :-) Oh, I am the same I say, I do not this, that.... Ingo than always says "do not explain and excuse yourself - enjoy!".
But, really, when I saw that red coat with the white dots I thought, nah, beautiful as it is, I HAVE a coat. Then I passed by a café where many people had breakfast as if it were the most normal thing to do.
I turned around and bought the coat - was from the season before and reduced and guess what: Many a person gave me a smile, some even stopped, one even grabbed my arm to say it made her happy - that so payed off!
So, who knows.. maybe you changed a person´s mind, too and something good was the result for many others, too.
OH NO! Glad you´re OK. And hmmmm, the omelettes look great.
Awwww.... the mouse. Now I miss mine again... And the hero-dog, wow. Warm hugs and much love to you and thank you for the smiles.
Oh please be careful, Linda! My MIL is always falling too :(
ReplyDeleteWe do find the courage when we really need to, isn't it?
I love the tortoise: try and stop me :) We may be slow, but we'll get there :D
So sorry to hear you fell but I'm glad you're ok. I think the breakfast and shopping afterward was the perfect thing to help make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read you fell Linda. You are lucky you didn't break a bone or something so I'm am ever so pleased you are ok apart from a bit of bruising and the graze you have shown us.
ReplyDeleteThe memes are nice to read, the blind man, oh dear me...and yes, I know those two songs in the video and the mouse, well!
Your selfie is nice as is your breakfast along with the snow photo as I don't see snow very often at all.
Take care.
Good morning-awesome quotes , sorry you still have snow-we are still in up and down weather mode here-some days very cool for spring and then a couple days in mid 90's F pretty wild weather haha
ReplyDeleteso glad you did not get a bad injury from your fall-those are so scary.
Your breakfast sounded delicious hugs from the lake
OUCH! Hope your knee is better today!!
ReplyDelete"When life gives you something that makes you feel afraid, that's when life gives you a chance to be brave." - Lupytha Hermin Thanks Linda for sharing these wonderful words.
ReplyDeleteBom.dia minha querida amiga Linda. Gostei de todas as suas reflexões. A minha preferida é a primeira. "Esteja presente, em todas e seja grato por todas as coisas. Espero que esteja tudo bem com você e seus familiares em Montreal. Grande abraço do seu amigo brasileiro. Uma excelente quinta-feira.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda...thankful you are okay after your fall. Falling is something that I am always worried about...but, your encouraging words today entices me to think more towards being brave. Bravery is a word I haven't heard in a while, however...it is a big word that we all need to practice..especially in this world we live in today. Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the best post I do enjoy them. Great videos also.
ReplyDeleteLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage. - Anais Nin. Lots of good ones today, Linda. The Tim Horton coffee and those egg bites look delish. I'm glad you weren't badly hurt during the fall.
ReplyDeleteThose omelets sound good -- I'll have to remember them the next time I'm at a Timmy's! I'm so sorry about your fall. That was quite a morning -- a fall and ugly looking bruise/cut. Did the blood lab have some ointment for it? I hope so. Then a well-deserved breakfast! Happy week!
ReplyDeleteOuch! I am a fall risk. I am Merlin from your memes!
Saludos.
Bien narrada la cronica de esa jornada...
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo, amiga
Wow, Linda, I'm so glad that you didn't hurt yourself worse when you fell! You were certainly being brave about it. I loved your selfie, too. It's fun to see what our blogging friends look like. My favorite video was the dog saving his buddy from drowning. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to 'see' you again, and than..., oh..., I'm so sorry for you, dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteMmm..., breakfast, not at home...
Good gag! And The Beatles...!
Lie(f)s.
"Try and stop me" :D :D :D I love it :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteLinda, my dear friend. Take care of yourself, please! Pay attention please! I hope now to be good.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all this images especially those with the lovely little pets.
My best regards, Linda.
Oh goodness, Linda, so sorry to hear that you fell. I've done that...no snow or ice, just my own two left feet. Glad you were able to enjoy the mall though. Your breakfast sounds yummy!!
ReplyDeleteBe brave no matter your size.
ReplyDeleteI liked the above today Linda. So may good ones, but this one spoke to me, because I am a small person.
I always appreciate seeing your smile.
xo
Carla
Good idea with reading a book to a cat!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you're okay and you weren't too badly hurt after your fall. Xx
ReplyDeleteLinda such wonderful quotes on courage and being brave...I think I needed to read these today. Hope your knee is okay and you did not get hurt. Hopefully your snow will soon be melting and you will have spring weather again soon. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are okay. You are allowed to treat yourself :-D Did you know that Tim Hortons is very popular over here in Scotland too :-D They opened a few spots then they keep expanding! Merlin is very wise, the lawn is indeed the same! And Marilyn Monroe, good quote too :D
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with The Beatles or Sonny & Cher. I am trying to get my 7 year old daughter into older music that I love. She likes a few Beatles songs and New York New York by Frank Sinatra :-D
I'm so glad you are OK after falling Linda! Yikes! Your little egg bites look delicious. I like the quote you gave today that said, "When life gives you something that makes you feel afraid, that's when life gives you a chance to be brave" by Lupytha Hermin. It's definitely true. I hope you have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteAfter your fall you had a real-life reason to be brave!
ReplyDeleteSome great quotes on fear and courage. Love the snapping turtle picture. Sorry you fell but glad it wasn't anything serious.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast looks like the perfect bite to me, as well. And thank the Lord you didn't suffer more than that nasty scrape and bruise from falling. I appreciated those videos. The Dodo shares the best stories. :D It's always a joy seeing big tough guys with such soft hearts toward animals. That heroic dog is amazing. Hugs, my dear.
ReplyDeletePS I appreciate all your kind comments but stopped replying on my blog because I spend way too much editing each one. ~shakes head~ Silly me. I don't know why it remains such a compulsion.
These are all great. I like "only those who risk going far, will find out haw far they can go" - something like that...
ReplyDeleteThose are all terrific! I'm glad you are okay and that nothing got broken in your fall.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that cats and dogs are a greater source of wisdom than many of our human companions in the journey!
ReplyDeletecheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
They are all inspirational- that's why I love visiting your blog. Today the one that touched me the most was they one about the world shrinks or expands according to one's courage. You do a great job collecting these to share each week. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBellas imagenes. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, PTL that you are fine and didn't hurt your face when you fell on your face 🙏
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, you are looking good. I hope to look as good as you when I turn 69. 💕
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, thank you for the snow photo. I guess that is the last photo of snow before spring time. Need to wait until Nov or December this year for snow again ❄️🌨️
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, the two mini omelettes must be very delicious 😋 They look like mini tarts. I am sure I will like them 🤤
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you fell, but, thank goodness you weren't hurt too badly! Sounds like you went on to have a lovely day, going out for breakfast, etc. :)
ReplyDeleteyour breakfast outing sounds so nice and relaxing
ReplyDeletesorry to hear about the fall, but glad it wasn’t serious...
Interesting post
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, Hi, I am sorry you felt and hope you are well now, reading your post I think I need to be braver sometimes! Whish you a wonderful weekend! Cheers, Sylvie
ReplyDeleteSaya suka peribahasa " Nak berjaya mesti berani untuk gagal"
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the 2 mini omelettes you had, they sound yummy! They are shaped like mini pancakes like what we had in MR BEAN in SG. Stay safe, stay strong and stay brave Linda. I hope the findings and readings of your blood test will be good. What a relaxing day to have your breakfast and doing shopping after that. Enjoy your weekends. God bless.
ReplyDeleteMini omelettes! I have egg rings, I can try those.
ReplyDeleteLots of stuff on your blog. Thank you for visiting mine, Blue Country Magic. The eggs sound delicious. I hope your knee gets better.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I'm sticking with Bear Grylis's quote. Throughout life, there will be moments of fear, but we shouldn't stop; we must continue on our path. If someone says they never feel fear, they're probably irresponsible.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! 😘
Wdzięczność i dziękowanie za każdy dzień to coś pięknego. Uczymy tego syna. A w śnieżny dzień szczególnie dziękujemy za ciepły dom!
ReplyDeletePozdrawiam serdecznie.

It is easy to be brave if you are a puma or a leopard LOL
ReplyDeleteSad to hear about the fall, sometimes we fall even when we are very careful!
Wonderful post, dear friend
ReplyDeleteThose mini omelets are the purrfect size. I seldom order omelets because they're about 2 eggs too many for me.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your fall. Glad you weren't hurt worse. Though, even when you aren't hurt a fall shakes you up.
Bravery was a great theme to run. It's a lovely reminder.
Falls are scary. Glad you are OK!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you fell but I'm glad you're ok 🥰
ReplyDeleteI think it is true about bravery. If you have no fear to overcome, it doesn't seem brave to me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you gave that crack that jumped up and tripped you a good talking to! So glad that you didn't really hurt yourself.
These are all wonderful and inspirational Linda! I too am Canadian (born and raised in PEI). We love Tim Hortons, and we live close to Creston, BC now, and whenever we "go across" we always stop at Tim's. It is our favorite! I enjoy their soups too. I'm sorry you fell and got scraped up, but thankful nothing else was hurt! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your fall. That must have been a shock even if you only got a bruise.
ReplyDeleteI like your selfie and the picture of the snow. Looks like you still have quite a bit.
I try to be brave :). I like the one where the turtle is saying just try to stop me :) I am so afraid of falling, I can't get up on my own because my knee is so bad and the pain is just terrible when I put any pressure on it, plus my leg strength is not good either, I have been doing exercises to try and strengthen them. I am glad you didn't injure yourself. We tend to go out to eat once a week too, but usually for lunch.
ReplyDeleteThanks for always posting encouragement! Hope your weekend ends up amazing.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda
Bon week-end, @micalement

Good morning, Linda.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, thank you for all the quotes and images you share. Today one really caught my attention, as I didn’t know it before:
Be strong enough to stand on your own, wise enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.
And the truth is, this is something that is often hard for us. Sometimes our pride blinds us and we see asking for help as something humiliating. But I like to look at it the other way around: asking for help makes the person we turn to feel useful and appreciated.
So, when we see it this way, both people benefit: the one who asks and the one who gives.
Thank you very much, and a kiss.
What a powerful collection of quotes today, each one nudging in a slightly different direction but all circling back to the same truth about courage. I especially liked how the animal photos and little moments of humor softened the heavier reflections. Your snowy snapshot and cheerful selfie added such a warm, personal touch, and I’m relieved your fall left only a scrape. It’s amazing how quickly those moments happen, and just as amazing how you carried on with your day, treating yourself to breakfast and a bit of shopping. A gentle, uplifting post from start to finish.
ReplyDelete🙂cute photos and wise quotes! I wish you good health
ReplyDeleteHey there, thanks for stopping by my blog! As I've recently got back into blogging I've been searching for active folks to follow, and after reading your latest post I'd say this place is certainly active. LOL! I have enjoyed my first visit here, and I'll be back. I added you to my favorites list, so you're now just a click away.
ReplyDeleteTried to leave a comment, but it disappeared. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I've been looing for active bloggers, and this place fits the bill. I have added you to my favorites list, and I'll be back.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're okay from your fall! I love the bravery quotes and your photos especially.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Netherlands! Thanks for your kind comment and I had fun seeing all in this post!
ReplyDeleteOlá! Lindas as frases, bem inspiradoras.
Hi Linda. Love the personal touch at the end of the blog with the picture of you to boot. Great about Horton's. We have a few of them here and I like to meet up with a friend for a chat and a cuppa. Tim likes their apple fritters. I just like the tea. We have two Horton's very close and more out further. There is one in particular that I love the most because of the great seat. Food, terrible at that location. Seating though, rocks.
ReplyDeletethanks for publishing all these positive messages. Replace 'why me' with 'try me' is a very good idea - need courage, practice or both. Trust you are recovering well ...
ReplyDeleteMe he entretenido mucho viendo tus imágenes, aunque he tenido que traducirlas.
ReplyDeleteY también tu nota personal.
Saludos
I'm so sorry you fell and hurt yourself. I've been gone all week because I fell and hurt myself too.
Ti lascio un saluto e un sorriso sincero. 🌹
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, the photos and texts are wonderful again... "Try to stop me" :-)))
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the old songs...
It's very good that you went for breakfast after your little fall... you need to wash away the shock and the annoyance – preferably with a well-brewed coffee... Warmest regards!
And now I'm listening to the Beatles... good mood... Yes.
All the best to you.
I hope you are feeling better after your fall.
ReplyDeleteI found your quotes very interesting and inspirational. I have fear and am trying to be brave through it. I am undergoing immunotherapy after having 6 months of chemotherapy the second half of 2024 which didn't work as long as hoped for. Hopefully the immunotherapy will have better results, although it is hard going.
Hello Linda,
ReplyDeleteYou must have a huge archive to keep posting so many of those beautiful and fun sayings. Also with all those lovely pictures and videos included. When you look at this, you automatically become relaxed :-)
Regards, Helma
Purrs of Wisdom is truly wonderful and funny.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I'm so sorry you fell. My sister fell recently and broke her knee. She didn't even realize it for several days.
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry to hear about your fall, but I’m glad it wasn’t more serious and that you’re okay.
ReplyDeleteLove your selfie.
I always enjoy the uplifting quotes and thoughts you share--they bring a lot of light to the day.
Thank you for continuing to post such encouraging words and moments with us!
Eu adoro animais!
ReplyDeleteSuas postagens são sempre excelentes.
Um lindo domingo e uma ótima semana!
Um beijinho, amiga. 🌹🙋♀️
Sonny and Cher. That takes me back:)
ReplyDeleteBe careful Linda! At our age a light fall can cause a major fracture. I tripped in December, due to being clumsy and holding a laptop I protected that more than myself trying to break my fall... I had only light bruises as well, but now still a black fingernail to remind me.
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde, minha querida amiga Linda. O Brasil possui pintores maravilhosos.
ReplyDeleteQue maravilla tu blog, Linda. Me encanta! Siento mucho tu caída. Que estes muy bien. Un abrazo
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see a photo of you, Linda. I'm sorry that you fell and am glad that it was not serious. Take good care. I hope warmer temperatures soon come your way!
