Animals teach me to appreciate the simple joys in life: love unconditionally, live fully and never let the worries of the world steal your happiness.
Here are today's picks, which I hope will brighten your day.

Most people I've met who weren't kind to animals weren't kind to people either. Kindness is kindness. Simple as that. - Ricky Gervais
Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love. They depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog, it merely expands the heart.
Animals teach me to appreciate the simple joys in life: love unconditionally, live fully and never let the worries of the world steal your happiness.
With every purr and wag, our pets show us that love knows no conditions, only the beauty of being here and now.
In the presence of a pet, we find unconditional love that mends hearts and fosters harmony.
They love without words and stay without reason - that's true friendship.

No matter how few possessions you own or how little money you have, loving wildlife and nature will make you rich beyond measure.
Some people talk to animals. Not many listen, though. That's the problem. - A.A. Milne

Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to. - Alfred A. Montapert
I love animals. They have no ego, they don't lie. They don't pretend to love or like you. They are always themselves. We have so much to learn from them.
Animals can inspire us to be less busy, more present, less worried, more joyful and more passionate about life. They will never judge us for the things we do or don't do. - Kristen Moeller
When we learn to respect all life, we learn to love all life. - Anthony Douglas Williams
Animals act as mirrors for the deeper learning and wisdom evolving within ourselves.
Love them, treat them like family, or don't get them. It's that simple!!!
The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone here in Montreal on March 2nd. This first photo is a sheet of thick ice on part of a sidewalk. It was -14 Celsius the day I took these photos. This was a sunny day! You can click on any image to see a larger view.
This is a church in Montreal.
I couldn't get too close to get a better shot of this lovely mural, because as you can see there was a lot of snow! And it was -14 Celsius! This mural was on a building in a Montreal park.
The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy! :)
Rescued Wingless Bumblebee can't stop having zoomies (The Dodo)
The Big Banana (instrumental song 🎵 often played on The Price is Right in the 1970s)
Hurt sea lion asks boaters for help (The Dodo)

That's a beautiful mural! When my daughter and I were staying in Montreal, we were almost next to Notre Dame. What a gorgeous cathedral! I loved the inside. I don't trust the apparent kindness of people who aren't kind to animals. I don't think it's genuine.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty church and I like the mural too. The little bumblebee is cute!
ReplyDeleteThe woman poking under where the bin was sitting had the right idea.
ReplyDelete"Most people I've met who weren't kind to animals weren't kind to people either. Kindness is kindness. Simple as that."
ReplyDeleteThis is so very true.
God bless.
Hello Linda and happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBrrr -14 Celsius, that is COLD!
Such a colourful mural, nice to see.
May the coming new week be a good one for you.
All the best Jan
Love the mural and church. We don't have pets (with five children and a full time job, my hands were full enough) but now we have granddogs and cats. And they are just as spoiled as the grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteLD....Oh wow! You have shared so many nice things. I love the cats and dogs but all the animals are good too.
ReplyDeleteGosh, that ice look treacherous! You know I love all the animal memes!! All true! Wishing you blessings in the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteOh Linda! I love this animal themed post! It is so true that animals are honest, they have no pretense and they love unconditionally. Today's quotes warmed my heart! I looked at the photos you took and that thick ice reminds me of my freezer that is not equipped with anti-freeze. LOL! Every few months I have to defrost it. Do be careful when you are outside as I imagine it can be terribly slippery.
ReplyDeleteBoth the cat sleeping on my lap and I appreciate your post :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's one of my favourites today: Most people I've met who weren't kind to animals weren't kind to people either. Kindness is kindness.
ReplyDeleteAbout that ice on your sidewalks, be very careful not to slip and fall.
I don't understand people who are cruel to animals. I'm glad the sea lion was helped. The Montreal gag was hilarious. Loved the heavy, red-haired woman. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeletemorning greetings from kuala lumpur! wowww -14C is indeed extremely cold esp for those from tropical countries like me. anyway for today i choose this quote : When we learn to respect all life, we learn to love all life...take care dear linda
ReplyDeleteThank you for this great post. I enjoyed them all. That sea lion who came up to the boat because he was hurt was amazing. I am learning more and more about animals (cats especially) now that we have a cat who is becoming more and more a part of our lives every day. We are learning from each other. Thank you for sharing all of these .They were all good. That bumblebee video was very touching.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotations about pets and animals in today's post! Pets truly do enrich our lives, don't they! And what a colourful, cheery mural to brighten up the snowy landscape around it!
ReplyDeleteWhew. Minus fourteen!
ReplyDeleteLindas imagenes. Los animales debe ser queridos y respetados. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds cold where you are. I hope things warm up soon.
ReplyDeleteYour picture and note about thick sidewalk ice reminded me of my grandfather taking an axe to the sidewalk ice one spring.
ReplyDeleteThis quote... I love!!!!
ReplyDelete"No matter how few possessions you own or how little money you have, loving wildlife and nature will make you rich beyond measure."
I always love stopping by and choosing my favorite quote. You share so many good ones at times it is hard to choose. :)
We love our animals here. That is a beautiful mural in that photo.
ReplyDeleteBelinda
The mural is so colorful and pretty. And the church is so unusual. Reminds me of our church building; round.
ReplyDeleteSo true about pets, treat them like family or don't get them.
ReplyDelete"Love them, treat them like family, or don't get them. It's that simple!!!" Amen to that! ❤️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful murals and so much snow and ice! You took some great photos.
ReplyDeleteLove for animals enriches us. Wonderful quotes and wisdom. The videos are good too.
Thank you, I was so happy again!
Have a beautiful week, hugs Elke
Lovely thoughts about pets.
ReplyDeleteThe church looks like a cake, or a hat. Delightful :)
That is a nice mural and just for laughs was entertaining, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThe memes are good as always, and animals can teach us so much.
Some funny videos :-) Great quotes as well, Linda.
ReplyDeleteInteresting post
ReplyDeleteHaving just seen some very big cats (posts to come!) I can really understand how seeing into the lives of animals can be of real benefit. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteStewart M - Melbourne
Dear Linda, animals are the best! The mural is a colorful spot amongst all that snow! Wishing you a pleasant week ahead.
Have a wonderful week filled with harmony
ReplyDeleteand may the animals be happy too.
Kisses *,~`)
Dear Linda, thank you for your 3 photos from your hp camera. The thick ice really looks slippery and dangerous 🥶
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that the snow is still so much even in march when spring is imminent.
To kindness, dear friend Linda! I was so sad when I learned it is not what we all (should) do!
ReplyDeleteBut after I witnessed how my friend´s cat... "went".. I know I cannot have such a fur-family-member... it hurt too much.
So I rely on you and FB...
I had a mouse once. I miss her still... (and I huge dog I never wanted and we did not get along).
LOL.
I was out with Aussie-friends all day.
I talked to a Roo in Caversham Wildlife Park - in English!!! Hahaha... when I realized I giggled like a stupid person. It was a very hot day...
And yes. Some people cannot get up to animal-standards! Luckily most in my life can...
-14C....
I sure am warned if I ever get to go to your country! LOL.
Thank you for the bumblebee... and Amber. Really, I am a shy person but sure I would´ve grabbed her to help and not just stand there!
But.. she got help after all. With that: To love! Hugs!
All these quotes touch my heart and all the pictures, too. Some tears are also with them..
ReplyDeleteYour snow is strong and full of light ****
Dear Linda, your photo of the church is very nice as I haven't seen a church building that is a circular building. Thank you for sharing. Have a good week ahead 😊 💕
ReplyDeleteDear Linda! You're right, we always have something to learn from animals. Our dog is good example: he likes enjoying small things in his life like sun, food and fresh air.
ReplyDeleteAnimals are sincere and honest, unlike people.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about animals. Those photos of of the snow are beautiful (but I'm glad I wasn't there in -14 degrees c!)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Ellie
Thank you for all these quotes about animals. Cannot describe how much I have learned thanks my dogs and not only. They have helped me to be present, to appreciate what I already have. They show us what pure, true love means, what life is about. I think animals are smarter than people as they know what is important to them and they take care of it...this is what I have observed for years. For me animlas and people are equal. For me such people like you are rain during dry season, who can refresh, uplift others. By the way..I love rain. I love snow. :)
ReplyDeleteStay healthy, my prayers are with you. Have a nice day. :)))
Animals and nature bring a lot of joy to life and teach you to communicate with them.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see that there is still snow there too.
From here, the snow has partially melted off the streets.
What a pretty mural that is. -14brrrrr
ReplyDeleteOf course animals are family, often more than the human family.
ReplyDeleteOur animals are so important.
ReplyDeleteHello, Linda
ReplyDeleteI love all the animals, wonderful quotes. Our pets are family!
We can all be kind to each and all animals.
Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Bom dia minha querida amiga Linda. Obrigado.pela visita e comentário no Blogger. Gostei de todas as reflexões. Grande abraço do seu amigo brasileiro. Uma excelente segunda-feira.
ReplyDeleteThe simple things are often the important ones :)
ReplyDeleteWe have had some sunny days around here and we sure welcome them a lot. Today the rain is back!
The bottomless dustbin gag is hilarious! The sea lion video is a cutie - poor guy!
Have a great week!
“Never let the worries of the world steal your happiness.” We need to heed this message in these times!
ReplyDelete...Linda... "Most people I've met who weren't kind to animals weren't kind to people either. Kindness is kindness. Simple as that." Ricky Gervais got that right. I hope that you receive more that your share of kindness.
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely true. Humans have a lot to learn from animals.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why I have always been an animal person!!
ReplyDeleteYes, animals can learn us so much. They are so full of love, Linda ❤️
ReplyDeletewe love our little cat who delights us and lowers our blood pressure, lol!
All of these are so true, Linda. Animals can see right through us.
ReplyDeleteSuch terrible business that it is still minus 14C over there! It is well close to 20C and first daffodils are about to pop out this week, I went shopping just in my padded jacket vest today and a shirt underneath it LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you for this great post and beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteGood winter shots.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I just wanted to stop by to say hello and once again enjoy all the messages you always prepare with so much care. Thank you for the comment you left on the blog today; it isn’t an easy topic to write about, and finding encouragement in what one writes is always very comforting. A big kiss.
ReplyDeleteOh no, animals do have egos. My cats did anyway. ;p big egos ;p
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice post!!!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, Linda and have a nice week, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI love all the animals, dear friend. They are giving us live and love.
The way people treat animals tells us everything we need to know about them. Such warm and loving reminders here today, Linda. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI am reading your beautiful and interesting blog and sending my warmest regards from the Kupa River Valley in Croatia. I love animals too, I had a German Shepherd. And now beautiful and smart cats walk around my yard every day.
ReplyDelete- 14° -> cccold..., dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteNIce... :-)
Lie(f)s.
Beautiful quotes to take as example
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!
Franca
Great quotations and pictures about animals!
ReplyDeleteLove them, treat them like family, or don't get them. It's that simple!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, this was a great post, so many good ones. I really appreciated the above, it is so true! I am so thankful that our local shelters really look into the people that are adopting, before letting them do so.
Have a great week my dear.
Carla
Dear Linda :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful animal quotes. They teach us so much, if only more people were like them the world would be a better place.
I love animals...I have a shih-tzu Didi, a German shepherd Max, 5 cats, ducks...rabbits...bunny is the best...children love them
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a large church!!
ReplyDeleteIn some places here, rescuing an animal is just as hard as adopting a child!!
I am lost when my two Schnauzers are not at home. Their love is unconditional. They do understand many things that we say to them but then choose which bit they will take any notice of. Children learn a lot from animals for sure.
ReplyDeletePets are family and deserve your love and respect.
ReplyDeleteI love these so much. I am sharing a couple of them on FB.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the company of animals to people. Always have. They are far more loving than humans, and don't fake emotions.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the mural in your photo looks amazing 😍
Yes, we love them like family because they are family!
ReplyDeleteLindo, zima už končí, -14° C jsme u nás měli v lednu, i více, teď zažíváme pěkné slunečné dny.
The Montreal church has an interesting shape...reminds me of a crown.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. I am also a fan of black teas.
This is such a touching post. I agree, people who are not kind to animals are just not kind to anyone. Have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteYes, pets are family and any animal deserves kind treatment!
ReplyDeleteso true a new pet does not replace the ones we have lost, they add something to the family. All of them have had unique personalities for sure :). Still miss the pass ones.
ReplyDeletePrice is right brings back old memories, I have not watched that in a long time.
Olinda
oh yes! Our pets are much our family members and no matter whether a creature is someone's pet or not........every creature deserves the kindest of treatment. Just loved your post!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Linda. I really do
ReplyDeleteRicky Gervais' comment. So true.
ReplyDeletewow! -14°C is really cold! the ice and snow make the photos look so unique though...
ReplyDeleteAnimals really do remind us of honesty, love, and joy.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of Montreal are beautiful.
The mural stands out even in the snow.
Thank you for sharing these heartwarming quotes and moments.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo, amiga.
What an important and beautiful post. Thank you so much. Aloha!
ReplyDeleteMany words to remember hear Linda, and the laughs at the end... Ho hoh
ReplyDeleteI do like that Ricky Gervais quote! He's right.
Saludos.

ReplyDeleteA cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.
ReplyDeleteAs a lover of cats, I know that too well.
