The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful life becomes.
Positive people also have negative thoughts; they just don't let those thoughts control them.
Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may be given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it.

The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone. This is my first attempt at photographing a sunset. I was in the hallway of a building and as I walked down the hall I saw outside the windows this beautiful sunset! Not wanting to miss this opportunity, I decided to capture the photos right where I was. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

Hi Linda! I like the shots you got and as always, I love the personal touch at the end of these posts.
ReplyDeleteThe sunset is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose were all good! I remember the Frank Zappa one. Pretty sky!!!
ReplyDeleteLindas imagenes. Buen consejo. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThe less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful life becomes. - This is true I am working on this myself.
ReplyDeleteLove this one - When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles. - Pooh Bear
A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it isn't open. - Frank Zappa - love this one too.
Hello, Linda! These quotes you chose for today are what I needed! So wise and yet some made me laugh. The first one especially amused me, so true, cats would have pushed everything off had the earth been flat and thank God it isn't LOL! Oh, I love the sunset that you captured on your phone!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st of March, may it be a good month for you.
I liked your sunset photographs and I enjoyed the Beatles video - goodness that was back in 1964! The years go by so quickly.
Sending my good wishes to you in Montreal.
All the best Jan
dear linda! monday morning greetings from kuala lumpur! today is the first day of new semester in my university. My classes are scheduled tomorrow. anyway for this entry, i choose this quote: Hard times are like a washing machine, they twist, turn and knock us around, but in the end we come out cleaner, brighter and better than before...indeed!!! anyway, let's also pray that the current Gulf conflict/war will end soon...we really want to live in a peaceful world...
ReplyDeleteHappy March Linda! I like all the thoughts of turning negativity around. That was a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of a peaceful sunset are nicely framed, haha.
ReplyDeleteI would be very cross at the parking barrier arm shenanigans.
The lamb on wheels is a nice story.
What a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteLots of good quotes in this post.I think my favorites were the one about the washing machine, and the one about the bend in the road.
ReplyDeleteHi, this isn't letting me comment with my name. I am Terra from terragarden.blogspot.com I want to say you found so many charming images. My favorite is "play in the puddles." Good advice.
ReplyDeleteRespond to negativity will drained our energy..
ReplyDeleteLove your sunset shots!
...it's easy to negative, always work to be positive!
ReplyDeleteI love. that first one! I'm still smiling. 😊
ReplyDeleteI love the "mind like a parachute" quote but it was actually Thomas Dewar (the whisky guy) who said it. He had many great quotes. I call myself a realistic optimist or a cheerful pessimist. I can be both.
ReplyDeleteOh, those videos about the disabled lamb and the opossum! So cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the Pooh Bear quote!!
ReplyDeleteI liked all those memes. Especially Pooh Bear and the one about cats pushing everything off a flat earth.
ReplyDeleteHappy March to you!
The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful life becomes. That's a lesson one learns very quickly ( hopefully).
ReplyDeleteAnother great one is "It is what it is". Accepting that brings a peaceful life. Have a great week, Linda.
That is a very pretty sunset.
ReplyDeleteYou always lift me up to start the week.
ReplyDeleteBeing negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult....this is so TRUE!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great concoction of thoughts and points of view that surprise you ☘️ Oftentimes a different way of looking at life is needed.
ReplyDelete🌵 "You may be given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it." 🌵 😀
Dear Linda, it's such a treat to start a new week with one of your posts.
Take care 💚
Stunning skyscapes, Linda! Love that black cat! Wishing you a wonderful week. Take care ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and accomplished moments Linda.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week full of harmony. Kisses ´,~`)
Hello Linda.
ReplyDeleteYou shared great quotes about the power of positivity.
Have a nice 1st week of March
Lovely sunset.
ReplyDelete- Leo Buscaglia
...So I might try to say encouriging words as often as I have them to give.....!
Thank you for this important Blogpost, dear Linda********** I love all the quotes ********* So helful and wise!
What a wonderful view from your window ***********
The comment from "Anonymus" was from me. I changed now the browser .. Best regards to you from Dori from the Bavarian Forest ******* (Mountains in snow, valleys green, sunshine in all regions) ..
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful sunset! Great photos. A lovely, well-done post with all the quotes. Thank you for your effort!
ReplyDeletehugs Elke
What a beautiful collection of reminders: gentle, wise, and sometimes playfully feline 😊 I love how you balance humor (that cat quote made me laugh!) with truly grounding thoughts about resilience and mindset and your sunset photos are especially lovely :) there’s something magical about catching light in an unexpected moment, like seeing it from a hallway and deciding not to let it pass. It fits the theme of your post perfectly: even in ordinary spaces, there’s beauty waiting if we’re open to it.
ReplyDeleteI love your Monday morning inspiration! Helps centre me for the work day! Gorgeous sunset too, that window is the perfect spot to catch it!
ReplyDeleteNice memes, Linda and I laughed at the first video. Your sunset photos are nice and take from a different perspective which is good.
ReplyDeleteI like Pooh Bears quote. That's a pretty sunset
ReplyDeleteI love the cat wisdom, Linda. Cats are lovely animals. Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love the Frank Zappa's quotes!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the wonderful messages. I should be here daily looking at one at a time!
ReplyDeleteHahaha it's a godd thing the earth isn't flat :D
ReplyDeleteI love the quote of "your sorrows will slowly drown and life will turn around". I know it to be true! This too shall pass is another quote I love.
Let's always be positive even in hardships! That's how we grow :)
Have a wonderful week!
I have a thing for cacti, so I shall pick the cactus reference one as my fav here. :)
ReplyDeleteI am extremely brave because I keep showing up!! lol!
To nas samych dobrze buduje.
ReplyDeletePozdrawiam Cię serdecznie i ciepło :)
Thanks for the quotes.
ReplyDeleteWith my own experience, I can say that you don't have to learn any of those things alone, if you have a wonderful Jesus in your life.
The colors of your pictures are so beautilful, Linda.
ReplyDeleteGreat again, the gag!
Lie(f)s.
Hello Linda,
ReplyDeletePretty sky images. I agree we can not let negative thoughts control us.
Wise words and quotes! Take care, enjoy your day and happy 1st week of March.
Frank Zappa’s wisdom of “a mind is like a parachute” is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sunset indeed 😍
ReplyDeleteCats love causing mischief, thankfully mine don't push things of tables or cupboards 🐈⬛🐈 😽
Nice saying and cute videos.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Sunset My Dear
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs ,
Cheers
The Padre
Happy March! Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteThat is why rain boots are made in yellow colour so that we would see the sunshine in those murky days. Happy March!
ReplyDeleteI do tend to lean toward the sardonic.
ReplyDeleteI love the cats and flat earth one!
ReplyDeleteFelice e rilassata giornata, un abbraccio

Lots of good reminders today, Linda. A great start to the week. Love your sunset photos.
ReplyDeleteI almost p-ed my paints when I read this one "Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may be given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it."
ReplyDeleteI'm a visual thinker xd
What a beautiful sunset, Linda. And my favorite meme this week is the one that stated, " The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful life becomes." I hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteI choose to nurture a positive attitude, Linda. What a difference it makes! I enjoyed your beautiful photos and the videos of the possum and disabled lamb. So sweet! May your day be blessed!
ReplyDeleteMuy buena entrada, amiga.
Fabulous heartwarming stories about Butter and Bunny and their human families. So cute.
ReplyDelete" You may be given a cactus, but it doesn't mean you have to sit on it" made me laugh but it has an important message. Thank you for this weeks words of wisdom. Linda.
Manter a positividade sempre, essa é a missão.
ReplyDeleteObrigado.
There is no room for negativity in my life.
ReplyDeleteSo many great ones, but this caught my attnetion a little more than some: "Hard times are like a washing machine, they twist, turn and knock us around, but in the end we come out cleaner, brighter and better than before." It's an unusual and fun metaphor.
ReplyDeleteAll good ones today but I do like the first one. I also like your photos. Pretty darn good with a phone.
ReplyDeleteBelíssimas reflexões! Muito grata!
ReplyDeleteBoa semana!
The first quote made me smile, but the second is worth remembering.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset photos!
Best regards Linda!
The gag video was really funny. The disabled lamb story is really sweet and beautiful. Ha, on the possum who stayed.
ReplyDeleteGracias por compartir. Un abracito♥.♥
ReplyDeleteI love the cactus quote! Hysterical...and true!!
ReplyDeleteWhen life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles. - Pooh Bear
ReplyDeleteI love Pooh Bear, thank you for sharing this one today Linda.
xo

Good photos Linda. Frank Zappa was very wise, good quote from him. Had to laugh at the first with the cat....so true. My Cleo loves to tap everything off the tables! She is fiesty! :-D
Lindas as fotos, que cores perfeitas!!
O por do sol é Deus acenando pra gente!! Divino!!
Beijos e uma semana encantaadora minha amiga querida! :))))
Linda,
ReplyDeleteThis quote.... "Once you develop that "It is what it is" mentality, a lot of things stop bothering you." This is my quote and life motto! I say this so much someone said they are going to put it on my tombstone. LOL! "It is what it is." But seriously.... it is the truth!!
The first one made me laugh out loud, because I've watched my foster cat knock multiple things off of tables today...watching me to see what I would do in the process.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Linda. It always good to try and stay positive. Happy March to you.
ReplyDeleteStaying positive is the way to go! I hope the month of March is good to you!
ReplyDeleteOpossum's are so sweet. Loved all of these this week.
ReplyDeleteHaha ..it's obvious then that the 'flat earthers' don't share their life with a kitty kat. =) Another day filled with positive thoughts to brighten my day, Linda. Thank you. I'm with Pooh....and as it's a rainy day here, I'm donning my gum boots and gonna do me a little splish &sploshing in the puddles.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunrise photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit and kind words.
Very enjoyable post, I enjoyed the sayings and the view out the window is amazing, such beautiful colours. Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog.
ReplyDeletethere’s something magical about capturing a moment like that unexpectedly...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice quotes.
ReplyDeleteWhat an irony. So many people. So few parachutes. 😉
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for sharing the 3 lovely sunset photos. At a glance I thought the photos are taken at a beach with beautiful sunsets. Have a good week ahead! 😊
ReplyDeleteWe need some hapiness and you give it to us with your blog !
ReplyDeleteThanks
Anna
Thank you Linda for the wonderful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflexions! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteKisses
Your post is filled with lovely thoughts---exactly what I needed to hear today! Thank you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLove finding such positive vibes on your blog!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda :)
ReplyDeleteI love the quote "The mind is like a Parachute" Open mindedness is a wonderful attitude to life- The Opossum video warmed my heart.
Your sunset photos are lovey and I enjoyed my visit very much Linda.
Oh my goodness, these are all so good! Negativity can creep up on the most optimistic souls, I know this all to well. I saw an old interview with Bruce Lee, one of the most amazing martial artists. He was asked how can you accomplish these things. He said "speak positive words to yourself. Your body doesn't know the difference, you mind does." Something like this. He said "words are powerful." Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde, Linda
ReplyDeleteLinda postagem.
ReplyDeleteSaludos
"... you don't have to sit on it". I love it!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteCats are wonderful and sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the one about the cat knocking everything off, isn't that the truth! I am dealing with some negativity right now that isn't doing my health any good, hopefully I can apply some of these to my situation.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful when we just happen upon a beautiful sunset, wonderful way to end the day!
Wonderful memes and the possum vid melted my heart.
ReplyDeleteI've been out of town the past week, so just getting caught up on the blogs. I really appreciate the positive memes you always post.
ReplyDeleteI do love that Frank Zappa quote - and all the little witticisms that were put up today, actually. And gorgeous sunset.
ReplyDeleteGreat words of wisdom and encouragement. Hope you're enjoying a great day.
ReplyDeleteThe work-life balance one resonates with me. For too long I gave my loyalty to the wrong people. Lesson learned.
Kolegyně v práci byla ten případ a to člověka vysiluje a ubírá energii. Sláva, že je to už minulostí!
ReplyDeletePřeji hezký den, Lindo! ☺
Definitely trying to ignore the negativity of family members.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
so true... protecting our peace is important...
ReplyDeleteMaybe some giant invisible cat is the secret to the Earth's spin.
ReplyDeleteWhen Life gives you rain, play in the puddles! Yes!
