Good Morning Quote

I've loved flights I've taken on 747s. They aren't in service much these days since they're so big. Gas guzzlers. I didn't agree with Reagan on much, but I do agree with that quote. Cats are practical? LOL, that person must not have had a cat. Or not one like mine anyway. :)
Lately I find my self quoting the Serenity Prayer a great deal. I think it has to do with what is happening in the world today. It settles me right down.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Ten una buena semana. Buenas reflexiones. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I hope you've had a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the quotes you've shared here.
What a lovely voice Bruno Pelletier has ... I enjoyed the video and what a lovely ending.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
I'm swiping that Marianne Williamson meme about Inner Peace for an upcoming post of my own, thanks! Bruno Pelletier has a beautiful voice -- first I've heard of him, I'm so out of touch now with Quebecois music. At one point when I was young, I was right up to date on it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a timely post. Just imagine. 🎵
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about the visiting dog. It might just visit to take possession of and play with the other dog's toys.
ReplyDeleteI love the one about cats being practical. So true!
ReplyDeleteTranquility is a wonderful thing. Lots of good things here today - thanks for sharing, as usual!
Good evening Linda, it is 9.15am over at Singapore. I saw your photos of the 747 bus in Montreal. That's terrific design. In SG, our buses allow wheelchairs to be on board and 🧳 luggages to be held but our design are different from those in your country. Have a good week ahead! It is Monday 23rd March over here.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, maple syrup, I used to love to eat pancakes 🥞 with maple syrup but now I eat them sparingly as sugar can be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a bus like this, what a good idea. Will they be selling maple syrup in this park?
ReplyDeleteThe quote by Calm Sage speaks of me, I try to minimise them into 8 words, Be still and know that I am God.
ReplyDeleteLove the theme, peace, tranquility, serene and in addition cheerfulness (optimism to see the lighter side of life), thanks dear for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a peaceful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNot surprisingly, the Addison quote about cheerfulness is my favorite. ❤️
ReplyDeleteIs you snow gone now? Looks like you had a light covering.
ReplyDeleteThis is my all time favorite - or at least one of them - I have it right next to my bed and pray it every night.
Grand me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. - Reinhold Niebuhr
I've read that Burroughs was quite the cat fan.
ReplyDeleteYou found the best quotes! Thank you for sharing, Linda.
ReplyDeleteSadly peace has become one battle after another
ReplyDeleteI have always loved that Serenity Prayer and used it many times on many diverse occasions for various purposes, manily to educate youngsters.
ReplyDeleteI think peace is an important topic in these turbulent times; great quotes on the subject.
ReplyDeleteStill snow where you are, and great photos of the bus!
Have as happy week!
hugs Elke
Peace, tranquillity, and and serenity. All 3 are so important and so hard to attain. Have a great week. Keep safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda! I already feel calmer simply by reading these lovely quotes. Agree with Albert Camus. Enjoy the maple syrup and have a beautiful week ahead!
ReplyDeletePeace and tranquility is so precious! I would not trade them for anything. Shelves on commuter busses is not common, more for those long distance buses. Perhaps since this one takes people to the airport, it makes sense. I haven't been on a bus for years!
ReplyDeleteMerci pour ce partage Linda.
ReplyDeleteBonne journée.
Ronald Reagan sure knew - sad not enough listen... and yes, just imagine - would´t that be wonderful, dear friend Linda? LOL, thank you, too, for the earworm!
ReplyDeleteI have to learn "calm", really. In panic I always run off and it goes wrong!
I remember Vitali Klitschko - not as boxer but as Mayor if Kiev - how one person angrily slapped him (I mean... that man is over 2m and boxing champion in heavy weight!) - what did he do? Stretched out his hand and that dude didn´t reach him anymore. He´d deserved a slap, but Klitschko didn´t.
So sad I don´t like sweets, so many marvel over that syrup!
Right 747, how clever! Sweet doggy-friendship! Thank you for the smile, Linda. Nice with the groundhogs, too - warm hugs and much love on the way.
Love the dove of peace meme.
ReplyDeleteThe bus is a good idea with the luggage area.
The videos are entertaining too...your snow photo is nice.
Excelente recopilación de frases de paz y serenidad. Me ha gustado mucho.
ReplyDeleteMuchos besos.
We can all use a little peace, tranquility and serenity in our lives.
ReplyDeleteSitting with my cats instantly calms me, actually just looking at them does. We get maple syrup allegedly from Canada, I do wonder if it's the real thing though.
enrico
Most people on the planet are not calm. Almost everyone is in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a bus with a shelf before. I love the calm and peace theme this week.
ReplyDeleteSo many uplifting quotes!
ReplyDeleteThe serenity prayer is truly one of my favorites!
The doggie coming to play every day is so cute and heartful!
Have a wonderful week.
Great collection as always, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThe quotes are so thoughtful, and I especially liked the one about peace being power.
Thank you for sharing such calming and uplifting moments with us today!
Hello Linda,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! I love all the peace quotes, I wish we all could live in peace. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a wonderful week!
..."Peace is the only battle worth waging," amen to this! Linda, keep these inspiring words coming.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post and videos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda, for helping me start my day with peace and tranquility. I did think the 747 bus that you featured here is such a cool idea, too. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteThis is what it's all about if one wants a good life:
ReplyDelete"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
John Lennon's IMAGINE started to play in my head ❤️♬ after reading for a while. Thank you Linda 🪴
Dear Linda,
ReplyDeleteThis time, without hesitation, I stay with this great quote from Desmond Tutu, which I find beautifully profound.
Stay still, keep silent, and then you will begin to see with the eyes of the heart. That’s how it is. It’s enough to put it into practice and recognize its truth.
On another note, yesterday we went out to eat to celebrate one of my sons’ birthdays. We are already so many that we no longer fit at home (19 now, including children and grandchildren), so we celebrate it outside. I spoke to my eldest about you, telling him about your love for cats. He has three: Rukia, Renji, and Ratatouille.
A hug
Peace is when my longarm works!!
ReplyDeletePeace, tranquility and serenity is something this world needs right now. I agree with you regarding the best maple syrup. I've never had any from Quebec but we love the syrup from Vermont.
ReplyDeleteMaple syrup time is upon us.
Love your quotes about serenity. Always searching for peace...
ReplyDeletePeace is a precious commodity isn't it - both from without and within.
ReplyDeleteOh, the dog knocking video to play is so cute! That is so neat about the maple syrup. I'd say it is delicious! I like your theme of peace in this blog post, Linda. And I really like this one:
ReplyDelete"Real, lasting peace doesn't come from controlling our external world, but from patiently and compassionately managing our inner one"
That is so very true. I would like to read about how you find your memes as I find it fascinating that you follow a theme days. No pressure on you though. I hope you have a terrific day. I like the 747 shelf too to mimic the airplane.
Belinda
Like all pure creatures, cats are practical. - William S. Burroughs ...I really like this picture and thought.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that I have never had me any maple syrup, we don't really have it here, only in healthy food stores where it is extremely expensive, so we have to stick to honey which is much better than in North America LOL because we mostly get it from acacia trees.
ReplyDeleteThese are good Linda. I like Albert Camus a lot :-D And this one is so true: "If someone keeps bringing you down, perhaps it's time to get up and leave."
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week :-D
We get local maple syrup from a school friend from local trees and it is to me, the best I've tasted. And I've tasted many. But also, local to me is best for many things. Has that edge. If I were blind folded, that would be the real test. Love the shots of snow.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteGuess what, we cooked down our first batch of maple syrup on Friday. We will cook again this Friday. :-)
I always love when you share white cats.
xo
Carla
My best wishes, dear Linda for the new week. The weather is still bad here in Athens and it is cold for the season. Good night, my friend.
ReplyDeleteA new record is set today: I wrote down SIX of these quotes for later. :)
ReplyDeleteNot to mention that "Grand me the serenity...." is my absolutely favourite prayer. I think that it contains everything that is important in life (the full version).
Always fun, and a sweet escape!! Thanks for the peace, tranquility, and serenity!!
ReplyDeleteWe so desperately need peace everywhere, in the world and in ourselves.
ReplyDeleteLinda!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried maple syrup either. I'd love to experience its taste someday. I love your quotes.
Have a beautiful, sunny week.
beautiful post, thank you
ReplyDeleteVery timely, post, Linda...and some lovely words to meditate on. My husband loves maple syrup, I'm not a fan. Maybe I just haven't had a good batch!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about real maple syrup, it is too watery for me. I know I'm crazy!
ReplyDeleteSome great saying.
My inner peace comes from Jesus!! :)
Lovely 💜 Warm wishes from Finland 🤗
ReplyDeleteThe gag, dear Linda, a very good one!
ReplyDeleteMaple syrup -> mmm...!
Lie(f)s.
Snow looks a lot better in Canada than in Michigan! But I hope soon you will be seeing a little green grass! I love maple syrup and as long as it's pure maple syrup, I don't care where it comes from!
ReplyDeletePeace is worth fighting for, I hope the madness of this world is resolved soon.
ReplyDeleteDearest Linda,
ReplyDeleteSuch posts truly brighten one's day!
My heart stopped by reading the quote of John Lennon's "Imagine", which is probably one of the most meaningful song of the last century, and which we should rediscover and sing each day of this life of ours!
Thank you for every word you wrote, sweet Friend, and for being such a precious Reader of ~ My little old world ~ your presence always graces my blog
XO Daniela
I totally agree with "Peace is the only battle worth waging." Thanks for this wonderfu post today, Linda. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeletePeace - we need it more than ever. Thank you for this wonderful post!
ReplyDelete"peace amid the storm" I love that. Also, that groundhog's owner is from Wisconsin where I live. Oh and...our maple syrup is pretty good too.
ReplyDeleteThose are all really, really nice!
ReplyDeleteAs another Canuck, I concur that we have the best maple syrup! Thanks for the visit and pouch use suggestions.
ReplyDeleteI love my early peaceful mornings. As I age and become more of a homebody, peace is much easier to find and is so much more improtant.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm in with the peace. Nice post.
ReplyDeletePeace is what we need in our world and in our hearts, pray for it every day :) We went to Vermont once and bought some syrup straight from a farm there, it was very good :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a calming and beautiful post. It really captures a sense of peace and serenity, and it’s a lovely reminder to slow down and appreciate quiet moments.
ReplyDeleteKisses
Saludos.
I love the video of the best friend dogs.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful quotes.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for the photos. I can see the vehicles in the park. Are they good trucks? I like to eat maple syrup with pancakes. 😋
ReplyDeleteI have seen shelves like this on trains heading to airports but not on buses. Thank you for showing them. I like the number 747 too.
ReplyDeleteI especially love your quotes on peace. Wonderful photos too!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely thoughts here - much to ponder.
ReplyDeleteJohn Lennon had the right of it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the people did live in peace?
ReplyDeletesometimes the bravest thing we can do is step away from negativity and protect our peace...
ReplyDeletedear linda, i'm back in kuala lumpur! i was away for almost a week to celebrate eidul fitri with my family in my hometown. internet connection is not so strong so I don't update my blog or do any blogwalking. i really miss reading your blog entries! for today, i choose this quote: Remain calm, serene, always in command of yourself. You will then find out how easy it is to get along... indeed!! take care dear linda! thanks for keeping on dropping your lovely comments at my blog. really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThe most beautiful for me is Serenity Prayer of Reinhold Niebuhr.
ReplyDeleteBest regards :)

Yes... I agree with most of this quotes. Indeed, we need some Philosophie, some Poesie.
ReplyDeleteGreetings by Heidrun ❤️
As always, a very valuable post. Spring is here and the colors I've been waiting for are here :)
ReplyDeleteBest!
Thank you for including Bhikkhu Pannakara's quotes. I followed his walk for peace online and listened to his speeches. They were very uplifting.
ReplyDeleteFajna ciekawostka z tym autobusem 747.
ReplyDeletePozdrawiam serdecznie
Todo precioso. Te deseo un lindo fin de semana. Abrazos.
ReplyDeleteSuch a soothing collection of quotes, each one offering a different doorway into calm. The snowy park scene feels like a natural extension of the theme, quiet and unhurried, and the 747 bus detail made me smile with its clever nod to travel. The videos add a lovely lift, especially the sweet dog friendship. A gentle, restorative post from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteSomething the world needs right now
