The following photo is my own, which I took on my cellphone on March 19th. This is a park and you can see it was a snowy day. I really don't mind. I wanted to take this photo to share with you all because there are vehicles in the park (you can click on the photo to see a larger view). They are there to make some type of kiosk for our Quebec maple syrup! I have to say that here in Quebec, as well as in Vermont in the U.S., we have the best maple syrup!  :)

I took this photo on a Montreal bus. Now, this particular bus has a shelf, as you can see here, which other Montreal buses do not have. This bus is the 747, which takes passengers from a Montreal metro station to the Montreal International Airport in Dorval (Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport)

I took this photo so that you can see above this shelf is the 747 number of the bus. They have this shelf in this particular bus for passengers to store their luggage, then they find a seat in the bus. I find it kind of neat that the number chosen for this bus is the 747, like the model of an airplane!

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy!  :)

Neighbor's dog knocks on door every day to play with her friend :) (The Dodo)

Special needs groundhog with unusual face smells like onions (GeoBeats Animals)

Aime (Love) - Bruno Pelletier
Bruno Pelletier is a Quebec singer. This song about love is not referring to romantic love, but a deep love for our fellow human beings. He does mention in his song "love, it is the law of the Bible" Although this song is French, I think it is such a beautiful song, worthy of sharing here on my blog. The images in this video are powerful and beautiful, stirring up a profound example of the type of love Bruno Pelletier is referring to in his song. Enjoy.

  1. I've loved flights I've taken on 747s. They aren't in service much these days since they're so big. Gas guzzlers. I didn't agree with Reagan on much, but I do agree with that quote. Cats are practical? LOL, that person must not have had a cat. Or not one like mine anyway. :)

  3. Lately I find my self quoting the Serenity Prayer a great deal. I think it has to do with what is happening in the world today. It settles me right down.

    God bless.

  6. I'm swiping that Marianne Williamson meme about Inner Peace for an upcoming post of my own, thanks! Bruno Pelletier has a beautiful voice -- first I've heard of him, I'm so out of touch now with Quebecois music. At one point when I was young, I was right up to date on it!

  8. I am not sure about the visiting dog. It might just visit to take possession of and play with the other dog's toys.

  9. I love the one about cats being practical. So true!
Tranquility is a wonderful thing. Lots of good things here today - thanks for sharing, as usual!

  10. Good evening Linda, it is 9.15am over at Singapore. I saw your photos of the 747 bus in Montreal. That's terrific design. In SG, our buses allow wheelchairs to be on board and 🧳 luggages to be held but our design are different from those in your country. Have a good week ahead! It is Monday 23rd March over here.

  11. Ahhh, maple syrup, I used to love to eat pancakes 🥞 with maple syrup but now I eat them sparingly as sugar can be dangerous.

  12. I have never seen a bus like this, what a good idea. Will they be selling maple syrup in this park?

  13. The quote by Calm Sage speaks of me, I try to minimise them into 8 words, Be still and know that I am God.

  17. Is you snow gone now? Looks like you had a light covering.

This is my all time favorite - or at least one of them - I have it right next to my bed and pray it every night.

  21. I think peace is an important topic in these turbulent times; great quotes on the subject.
Still snow where you are, and great photos of the bus!
    Have as happy week!

  22. Peace, tranquillity, and and serenity. All 3 are so important and so hard to attain. Have a great week. Keep safe and warm.

  23. Good morning, dear Linda! I already feel calmer simply by reading these lovely quotes. Agree with Albert Camus. Enjoy the maple syrup and have a beautiful week ahead!

  24. Peace and tranquility is so precious! I would not trade them for anything. Shelves on commuter busses is not common, more for those long distance buses. Perhaps since this one takes people to the airport, it makes sense. I haven't been on a bus for years!

  25. Merci pour ce partage Linda.
    Bonne journée.

  26. Ronald Reagan sure knew - sad not enough listen... and yes, just imagine - would´t that be wonderful, dear friend Linda? LOL, thank you, too, for the earworm!
I have to learn "calm", really. In panic I always run off and it goes wrong!
I remember Vitali Klitschko - not as boxer but as Mayor if Kiev - how one person angrily slapped him (I mean... that man is over 2m and boxing champion in heavy weight!) - what did he do? Stretched out his hand and that dude didn´t reach him anymore. He´d deserved a slap, but Klitschko didn´t.
So sad I don´t like sweets, so many marvel over that syrup!
Right 747, how clever! Sweet doggy-friendship! Thank you for the smile, Linda. Nice with the groundhogs, too - warm hugs and much love on the way.

  27. Love the dove of peace meme.
The bus is a good idea with the luggage area.

  30. Sitting with my cats instantly calms me, actually just looking at them does. We get maple syrup allegedly from Canada, I do wonder if it's the real thing though.

  40. This is what it's all about if one wants a good life:

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

John Lennon's IMAGINE started to play in my head ❤️♬ after reading for a while. Thank you Linda 🪴

  41. Dear Linda,
This time, without hesitation, I stay with this great quote from Desmond Tutu, which I find beautifully profound.
Stay still, keep silent, and then you will begin to see with the eyes of the heart. That’s how it is. It’s enough to put it into practice and recognize its truth.
On another note, yesterday we went out to eat to celebrate one of my sons’ birthdays. We are already so many that we no longer fit at home (19 now, including children and grandchildren), so we celebrate it outside. I spoke to my eldest about you, telling him about your love for cats. He has three: Rukia, Renji, and Ratatouille.
    A hug

  46. Oh, the dog knocking video to play is so cute! That is so neat about the maple syrup. I'd say it is delicious! I like your theme of peace in this blog post, Linda. And I really like this one:
"Real, lasting peace doesn't come from controlling our external world, but from patiently and compassionately managing our inner one"
That is so very true. I would like to read about how you find your memes as I find it fascinating that you follow a theme days. No pressure on you though. I hope you have a terrific day. I like the 747 shelf too to mimic the airplane.

  48. It is interesting that I have never had me any maple syrup, we don't really have it here, only in healthy food stores where it is extremely expensive, so we have to stick to honey which is much better than in North America LOL because we mostly get it from acacia trees.

    ReplyDelete
  49. These are good Linda. I like Albert Camus a lot :-D And this one is so true: "If someone keeps bringing you down, perhaps it's time to get up and leave."

Hope you have a good week :-D

  50. We get local maple syrup from a school friend from local trees and it is to me, the best I've tasted. And I've tasted many. But also, local to me is best for many things. Has that edge. If I were blind folded, that would be the real test. Love the shots of snow.

  51. Hi,
Guess what, we cooked down our first batch of maple syrup on Friday. We will cook again this Friday. :-)
