The following photos are my own, which I took on Thursday, April 23rd! The very first flowers that I came across here in Montreal...so far! They are tiny and I don't know what they are, but I wanted to take a photo of them. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

I don't have a car and I use public transit...bus and metro. I came across this device for electric cars on my walk. I wonder if this looks similar to any in your part of the world. Note how beautiful the sky was in this photo. It was a gorgeous day.

I have no idea what make of car this is, but I took a photo of it because it is unusual for me...it looks so different from other cars that I usually see!

I took this photo in a mall...the BMO stands for Bank of Montreal.

I took this photo in a shopping mall as well. David's Tea is a wonderful store that has fresh leaf teas! Their teas are delicious!

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy!  :)

Wild crow becomes part of woman's family for two years (The Dodo)

Mama duck waits patiently for neighbors to rescue her babies (The Dodo)

Mull of Kintyre - Paul McCartney and Wings)

Father and son - Cat Stevens

I am adding this to the Bloom where you are planted theory I try and follow.
That car is what Elon Musk calls a cyber truck I believe.

    God bless.

  8. Such good ones again today! I love the one about flowers not competing and also looking up when it rains.
I think the flower is Siberian Squill or wood squill. It's sometimes also called Star of Holland. We have it at our house, but it just finished blooming.

  9. The car you photographed is a Tesla, Linda, Loved the Paul McCartney and Wings song and all your inspiration that you give us each week. Blessings!

  10. Favorite is the Zen wisdom, and as others have pointed out, it's a Tesla.

  13. Oh my, you've seen a Cybertruck in the wild. Aren't they hideous? They don't get any better looking the more you see them. They just keep looking wrong. (I've seen quite a few now.)

It is funny to realize I’ve never owned a ginger cat. Now I want one. 🤣

  15. Dear Linda,
Beautiful quotes and photos. I like the quote of Monet very much. The blue flower is a Scilla sibirica I think. I have a lot of them here too. They are so lovely. Thank you for sharing your photos.

  17. The artist painting of the puppy is just gorgeous, Linda.
Memes/quotes are good as always. The poor mother duck waiting patiently and I had that record of Cat Stevens once.

  19. Mother Nature is definitely all I need, well apart from my kitty kids and chickens. We have similar parking spots here for electric cars. Lucie Bilodeau is a very talented artist. A beautiful post today dear Linda.

I liked the zen proverb - the sentence and the imagery!
Success is a succession of failures with learning in the process.
The paintings of Lucie Bilodeau are so lovely!
Those blue flowers you photographed are so pretty!
That unusual car must be the time machine of Dr. Emmet Brown ;)

  23. The Tesla is illegal here for safety reasons. Car charging systems will be similar all over the world. There does seem to be an issue with types of plugs. The prank was funny.

  24. Dear Linda, thank you once again for your selection of thoughts, images and humor, put together with such care. Today I'm staying with the quote. "The only difference between a good day and a bad day is my attitude." I like the idea, though it gives me some pause. There are hard days not because of a lack of attitude but because things happen, and putting all the weight on oneself can become exhausting. Perhaps the margin we have is real, but it's only part of what determines how the day turns out. A hug.

  25. Those are some really powerful quotes, dear Linda, thank you! Your photos are beautiful; the car looks like something out of a movie... the videos are great too!
Have a wonderful rest of the week in April! hugs Elke

  26. The ocean sure got me thinking, dear friend Linda. My Mom said I´m a pessimist, I think I´m a realist but I should be thinking more like the happy quote and pic!
Wish there was peace and joy to all indeed. Hihi, I am about buying flowers!
We (of course) have a Lion on the loading stations for e-cars. The car looks like a Tesla? I´d love to visit David!
LOL on the Spar-video (didn´t know you have that in Canada!). The crow is so cute! You know, wish people could all be like that, too. No matter what race, let´s be friends...
Ans so nice neighbors came out for help there! Much love and warm hugs on the way.

  27. "Some people are like clouds. When they disappear, it's a beautiful day" hihi so funny!

Woah its Tesla Cybertruck! I wonder how it looks like on inside

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't know what those cars are either but there are several around here that I see all the time. I think they are the ugliest things ever.

  29. Do more things that make you forget to check your phone >> For me it's get off my phone so that I can do more things! So easy to spend way too much time on the phone these days.

Here's to more flowers coming your way as spring advances!

  30. Hello Linda,

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good morning and happy week to you. Maybe I will get a woodsy walk this week which sometimes is all that we need.

    ReplyDelete
  36. So sad that you still don't have many flowers over there, here in Europe we went through all the usual spring dynamics / from tulips and hyacinths and lilacs, and now to irises and lily of the valley.

Regarding you trying to quit sugar, I quit both gluten and sugar two or three years ago and I can tell you it is wonderful and possible to live like that, but it requires a bit of dedications. If you have Facebook you can ad me over there I am under my real name there Miroslav Bašić Palković, I post at least one sugar and glufree recipe there a week, so you might find it useful to switch yourself as my recipes are very simple. A few weeks ago I posted a number of sugar free muffin recipes that I invented LOL

    Saludos.

  44. Hello Linda,

I only just noticed that you post a new blog every 2 days with all these beautiful pictures, images, and lovely texts. I am afraid I won't be able to read and look at them all at once, but I will check back regularly in between.

This blog also features wonderfully beautiful images with texts.
    Best regards, Helma

  45. Some great pictures today. I have a white board on my wall in the shop, and years ago on it I wrote a quote from Satchel Page: Don't look back, something might be gaining on you.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sometimes, this is all you need. Yep, a dirt road...or no road. Being in nature is certainly good for the soul.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I got a laugh from the quote about clouds!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dear Linda, as so often, thank you for your wonderful and interesting collection of quotes. This time I especially like "Sometimes what we call failure is really just that necessary struggle called learning." And I'm so glad that spring is finally arriving in Montreal too!

    My best regards, my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They're all beautiful; some of the videos are very sweet and sentimental, but I especially love those two proverbs—both the one about the flower and the one about how what you need to live is life itself.
    Have a wonderful week.
    Best regards.

  52. Incredible post once again. Thanks Linda.

  53. Your timing is perfect. On this Monday, April 27th, 2026, many of us are looking for exactly that "sunshine" you mentioned. Whether it’s the wisdom of a Zen proverb or the simple joy of a duck rescue, you’ve given us all a reason to "forget to check our phones" for a few wonderful minutes.

  54. Moin Dear Linda,
    Herzlich Traudi.🌸

  70. Sometimes we just need nature, I know it calms me and makes me thankful! I believe that car is a cyber truck made by Tesla. Isn't it fun to see the first flowers blooming. We had some wild voilets growing in our yard a couple weeks ago, I picked them before hubby did the mowing and I have dried them so I can put them in my junk journal :)

Teď by ji měli v bárce odtáhnout do domovských vod. Katka
