These are two little zippered pouches. They cost just $2 each. These particular items were not purchased from Dollarama, but another dollar type store. Of course I love the cats on them. I alternate them from time to time, and I use these pouches to carry loose change/coins.
This is a hairbrush and comb set that I purchased at Dollarama for just $2.

Whenever I see a kitten or a puppy, it reminds me that we all have a choice regarding how we respond to external circumstances of life, things beyond our control. Like those innocent beasts, we can choose to turn adversity into a fun challenge, We can stay curious about the world around us and always make time for play. My strategy is to turn all work into play, turn it into a game and take satisfaction in winning by performing the task well and completing it. I also agree with the meme that asserts that the pain of the past can be transformed into strength today. Also, confront your fears head-on and "turn fear into power." The "A smile" saying is also important. You can wear a false smile or a genuine one and people can usually tell the difference. I give every person, every stranger I encounter the benefit of the doubt and smile at them, coming from unconditional love. A remarkable percentage of people can sense my spirit of goodwill and respond the same way toward me. We both wind up with a warm feeling inside. That's what it is all about for me. I believe that one's physical health is directly related to their mental state. We must avoid poisoning our systems with negative or hateful thoughts. Proper diet and regular exercise are essential. I love those two kitty coin pouches! The dwarf who "went postal" in that Just for Laughs vignette got plenty of exercise that day sprinting down the sidewalk. That's a heartwarming story about the stray cat that went in search of a family and found one at a wedding ceremony. It didn't take long for the friendly kitty to win everyone over, even the family's other cat. I well remember Ray Stevens who recorded many novelty songs and also hit big with the straightforward "Everything Is Beautiful (in its own way)." How true! I loved Lou Rawls 1966 hit "Love Is a Hurtin' Thing," a single that topped the R&B chart in 1966, and cheered him on in the 70s when he signed with the hitmaking Phila. International label and released "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine." What a wonderful way to end the post - the story of a rescued bird that became a playful housepet and bonded powerfully with her human. So cute and so touching!

ReplyDeleteI think this is true. But others' pain can be fully understood, I think, by having a friend or family member who is suffering. Reading about pain in books can also help, too. I think it is so important to understand the pain of others.
