Simplicity, Tranquility

Hello dear friends and fellow bloggers! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to visit me here! I really appreciate you all so much!

Just a special note...on Blogger, I have noticed that there is a delay in new blog posts in that they don't appear right away in the NEWS READER. However, the post will appear immediately on your blog itself at the time it is published. This means that your readers and followers will not know that your new post is up until between 30 minutes to a few hours later, even several hours later when it finally appears in the Blogger Reader...if it even appears at all. This doesn't happen all the time, but I just wanted to let you all know that it is something I have noticed.

And just to let you all know, I schedule my new posts to publish on Sundays and Wednesdays between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You should see my new posts by checking my blog at the above-mentioned times. I only post on Mondays and Thursdays. Thank you so much.

Here are today's picks, which I hope will brighten your day!

The following photos are my own, which I took on Friday, April 24th with my cellphone. You can click on any image to see a larger view.
I found this pothole in the parking lot of a shopping mall. Yes, Spring is a beautiful season, but there are hazards that come with it...potholes, flooding, just to name two! So please be careful when you walk, sometimes you may not see a pothole, and you can twist an ankle or worse! This happened to a woman here in Montreal that was on the news, she got hurt pretty badly.

I took this photo of the sign outside of one of my favourite housewares stores here in Montreal. Hart! The sign is in French, as pretty much all signs here in Quebec, so I will translate it for you all so that you can understand. "maison en gros" means "in bulk store"
They get their items directly from the manufacturer, which transfers to savings for customers. A great store!

I came across a little sparrow who had a nest in the top part of a bus shelter. How I found him? He was chirping away! So adorable! You can see the nest on the upper middle part of my photo and you should also be able to see the sparrow as well! (by clicking on this picture to see a larger view)

An American Eagle store in a mall.

The following photos I took of a beautiful display in a mall! These are the remainder of the photos from my last post. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French). Although the majority of these gags are done here in Montreal, they have traveled to different countries as well to do them, and this particular one was done in Europe. Enjoy!  :)

A wallaby lost her mother. So this woman carried her in pouch for a year.  :)  (GeoBeats Animals)

  2. Boa noite, minha querida amiga Linda.

  3. I love today's theme - Simplicity and Tranquility! Keeping things simple, whatever they may be and having tranquility is a blessing. I dislike complication and chaos! Oh, love your photos of the pretty and colorful flowers! I also love ferns. They are beautiful!

  5. I appreciated the ones on simplicity. So true - I think our culture has gotten so caught up in stuff, and living more simply really is better.
Potholes are crazy here too, winter weather followed by lots of rain is not good for the roads or parking lots.

  6. Trying to be culturally sensitive was a bit of a fail, but it does show people want to do the right thing.

Our island state Tasmania has quite a lot of albino wallabies and I don't think they really have predators there that are a threat to them.

  7. Good morning, dear Linda! I have noticed that about the reading list too. Oh I do hope nobody disturbs that sparrow's nest! Wishing you a lovely day ahead!

  12. Dear friend Linda, yes, blogger hops around again! I often or mostly see your posts only a day later.
But my attitude is: Linda will be there. And ... to progress! And yes, I unclutter! Keep it simple. (oh, but the arty stuff!)
Anxiety ... regrets? Not too many...
Pothole... the same worldwide, huh. Hart sounds like a good one.
LOL, you guys are hilarious! Pour rire! Oh, my French sure is down the drain!
Grown Wallbies can get quite... demanding!
Hugs and much love on this sunny day´s way!

  14. Such lovely flowers!
Blogger always has some kind of errors, delays and god knows what other devil's business else.... We are all used to it by now... Like when we have to write a new post and the blank field opens in Passage mode instead Normal mode, annoying to the extreme....

  15. So true that we enrich our lives by simplifying them. Loved your photos, Linda, especially the flowers!

My biggest or one of my biggest problems is learning to let go.
So how do you speak English or French there - when the signs are written in French. The flowers in your mall are so pretty!

  20. Bom dia, Linda
Ótima postagem. Gostei muito da frase: "O maior passo em direção a uma vida de simplicidade é aprender a desapegar." O vídeo do cachorrinho é muito fofo. Um forte abraço.

  23. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful collection of quotes; the reminder that happiness blooms from within was exactly what I needed to hear today! It is so clever how you spotted that tiny sparrow's nest in the bus shelter, proof that nature finds a way to thrive even in the busiest places.

  24. Dear Linda, thank you for your photos. Potholes are so dangerous. Please be extra careful when walking on the road. 🙏
I can see the nest and sparrow. I hope no one would clear the nest away. The flowers in the huge mall are lovely 🌹
Have a good week ahead! 💕

    Hi Linda,
I love the quote above, I am trying to simplify my life!!
I want more time to read, study and do my hobbies. I need to use some self disciple on the computer of not going down rabbit holes.

  29. Oi, Linda! :-)

  30. Thank you, Linda. Blogger has been acting funny this weekend for some reason. It wouldn't let me post on two different blogs this morning and I noticed it doesn't list the new blogs on my side bar right away. sigh. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

  31. Lovely photos and words of wisdom. Love the sparrow building a nest in the bus stop. Nature is still often in charge. Lol 😉 Wish you a wonderful week ahead. xo

  32. A lot of today's memes and quotations resonate with me! I have embraced the values of "voluntary simplicity" pretty much all my life. And yes, "letting go" is a big part of it or not becoming attached in the first place to things that don't matter. (P.S. I hope Blogger fixes its software soon so that we receive timely notification of new posts once again!)

  33. Great photos and some thought provoking words. Cheers Diane

  36. Hey Linda - this finally came up on my Feedly!

  37. I keep track of blogs in Feedly. If you read enough blogs (as I think we all do), you have to have some way of keeping track. If I don't see the post today, I'll see it tomorrow ;)
