The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone on my walks here in Montreal. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

A French sign meaning "street barred/closed" Many of these signs can be found across the island of Montreal from May to at least October.
Here in Montreal, we have a very truthful quote. "Montreal has two seasons. Winter and construction"

The following video is a Just for Laughs Gag (Juste pour Rire in French) done here in Montreal. Enjoy!  :)

  1. Isn't the bear having the best time ever in the water. That's pure play, just for fun.

  2. I love the Simone painting!
Again you've shared lots of truth here. I think unplugging from all the media and enjoying the beauty of the world God created is so very good for our mental state.
I laughed at the construction statement because we have the same one - 2 seasons in Michigan; winter and construction! :)

  3. Nature is beautiful and healing! A walk in the park is always so calming to the mind. My partner and I used to go the the botanical gardens for our Sunday morning walk. Then the pandemic came and we stopped and we never quite resumed that activity. Oooh! Isn't Simone a pretty little kitten hee..hee...

  11. Labracadabrador, hahahahaha! And I remember when Zamfir was a huge global sensation in the early 1980s! Wow, it's been forever since I heard any of his pan flute music but then, it was EVERYWHERE!

  13. Nature certainly does bring solace in all troubles. Oh, how thankful I am to live in a place surrounded by a forest. Not too many who can claim that advantage, Linda. Thanks for all the inspirations tonight!

  21. Here in Finland, too, road works are done in the summer, after all, they can't be done in the winter. It's good that the roads are being repaired. Thank you for the good thoughts, Linda!
I enjoy nature, but I still watch the news every day, I want to know what's going on in the world.

  27. I'm 100% on Nature as medicine for mind and spirit. I NEED green leaves and grass around me, which is why my whole soul feels like it withers and dies through our long winters. 🙃

    Take care!

  28. The one about me being my own worst enemy is so true. At first I thought that first picture was of snow. Glad it was clouds instead

  43. The panflute music is haunting and beautiful. I idolized Jacques Cousteau when young, as co inventor of the aqua lung and also watched his specials. I went to two Jacques Cousteau Involvement days and met his son Jean Michelle when in college.

  44. We have that same saying in Michigan, too! Listening is so, so important!

    ReplyDelete
  45. 'Winter and construction' -> not better here, dear Linda!

  57. Dear Linda, ❤️ love your photo of the clouds in the blue sky, white cotton candy 😋
This quote. "Montreal has two seasons. Winter and construction" can be applied in half to my place too! 😂 I guess constructions are everywhere but not winters. I think I would prefer winters than constructions.
    Good night!
