The following photos are my own, which I took on March 16th at a delicatessen. Yes, I had breakfast out on that day...smoked salmon, 2 sunny side up eggs and very little potatoes, coffee and water. I really don't eat much but I try my best to eat healthy.
Warning....these photos are selfies, which I took in two different ways. The first one I took through a mirror and the second normally. You can click on any image to see a larger view. Please note that I am camera shy and not photogenic! A friend of mine whom I showed these photos to likes them and says I look very good. So I decided to share them with you all.
This last, but certainly not least, photo is of my beloved father. I was very close to my father, he was a strict, but very kind and gentle, caring man! This is the last known photo of my father before he died. This photo was taken in June, 1984, two months before my father passed...of a heart attack. He was only 64. I was only 27. I took this photo from a hospital ID card that he had, and I have kept this all these years. I still miss him. Please note that he had very little gray hair at 64!

Hello Linda! Thank you for showing your selfie. You have a kind and calm look. A friendly face I would say. I love the blouse that you wore in the selfie. Your breakfast sounds like something I would enjoy as well. Your late dad had a kind and bright smile. He does not look like a strict man at all. It's been a year since my dad passed and he too had a kind smile. Well, I have to get cracking with my work and I do hope that like your first quote "Today is going to be my peaceful day". I hope that it is for you too. Amen!

I love going out to breakfast. And you just explained why one should have many pictures taken of them, even if they don't feel like they should. You never know when it'll be your last. (My mother hated having her picture taken, too. But my brother managed to get enough, so we have some of her now that she's gone.)

I like the first photo of you. It looks slightly less pose, even though it clearly was posed. Note the guy with the wild hair glasses gives nothing away as the woman shaves. I enjoyed rehearing the Flipper music, even though it sounds corny these days.
Patience is something that I find myself asking the Lord to give me more of each day, Linda. Thanks for all the positive reminders you've given us regarding this virtue. I've always loved dolphins, too!

To answer your question on my Wordless Wednesday post, that is a picture of how a battery I ordered from Amazon was delivered. Just that little battery in that big box, rattling around with no padding or anything.
Good to be reminded of the need for patience, especially since our world is becoming increasingly impatient. I am a bit impatient myself! The Shavian quote appeals to me particularly.
By the way, you look very gentle and amiable in the pic.
