Those are excellent photos of you! I always wonder what other bloggers look like. It helps me to put a face with a name/blog. Your father has a very kind face. I'm not a patient person, nor always calm but I work on it every day. And I am kind at least!
ReplyDeleteLa paciencia es una gran virtud. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda! Thank you for showing your selfie. You have a kind and calm look. A friendly face I would say. I love the blouse that you wore in the selfie. Your breakfast sounds like something I would enjoy as well. Your late dad had a kind and bright smile. He does not look like a strict man at all. It's been a year since my dad passed and he too had a kind smile. Well, I have to get cracking with my work and I do hope that like your first quote "Today is going to be my peaceful day". I hope that it is for you too. Amen!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - I love the photos of you! I think you look very nice and I'm glad you shared them. I liked seeing your dear Dad too. He has a very kind face.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad passed away almost 3 years ago. He was 92 so we had many good years together, but I miss him too.
Patience is something I have to constantly work on, it's a lifetime project Have a wonderful day, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI love and agree with the quotes about patience, but “Expectations are resentments waiting to happen.” byAnne Lamott made me smile. It is so true. 😊
ReplyDelete...Linda, I hope that all of your days well be peaceful days! They say that patience is a virtue, it's one virtue that I lack! Be warm and well, spring is on its way.
ReplyDeleteI work constantly on developing patience. Lovely photos of you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm so glad you shared your selfie. I like to visualize the blogger when I read a post so until now I couldn't imagine you. You look lovely. Also your Dad. How great to have such good memories of him.
ReplyDelete( PS I need more patience because I'm by nature not at all that way).
Hello Linda ... lovely photographs of you and a special one of your dear Dad. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy day.
All the best Jan
I love going out to breakfast. And you just explained why one should have many pictures taken of them, even if they don't feel like they should. You never know when it'll be your last. (My mother hated having her picture taken, too. But my brother managed to get enough, so we have some of her now that she's gone.)
ReplyDeleteI do struggle with patience! What a great photo of you and of your dad, too!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! It's lovely to see your smiling face here in this post! You curated a great set of quotations about patience -- my faves are the ones by George Eliot and Kazuaki Tanahashi.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post and patience is a gift I think
ReplyDeletePatience can be a toughie, but definitely something worth striving for Thanks for sharing yourself with us. It's nice to put a face with the name and the posts:)
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo of you. It looks slightly less pose, even though it clearly was posed.
ReplyDeleteNote the guy with the wild hair glasses gives nothing away as the woman shaves.
I enjoyed rehearing the Flipper music, even though it sounds corny these days.
Patience is something that I find myself asking the Lord to give me more of each day, Linda. Thanks for all the positive reminders you've given us regarding this virtue. I've always loved dolphins, too!
ReplyDeleteDo you find the photos with those messages, or do you find the photo and then add your own text?
ReplyDeleteLots of great quotes about patience.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that very nice selfie of you. It makes me feel as though I know you better.
Your dad was a very nice looking man. I think you look like him.
To answer your question on my Wordless Wednesday post, that is a picture of how a battery I ordered from Amazon was delivered. Just that little battery in that big box, rattling around with no padding or anything.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, may this new dawn be wonderful and may the Universe conspire in your favor!
ReplyDeleteWishing you much success and sending you a big hug! 🌞🦋💐💖🫂
How great to see you, Linda, as well as your late father. I love smoked salmon too. Great sayings about patience. The FB/Hugsandkisses is so true.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to post a mirror shot and one not in the mirror. You look really nice, and I like your blouse. You look like your dad!
ReplyDeleteGood to be reminded of the need for patience, especially since our world is becoming increasingly impatient. I am a bit impatient myself! The Shavian quote appeals to me particularly.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you look very gentle and amiable in the pic.
We don't stop missing our parents.
ReplyDeleteNice to get a look at you. Very pleasant expression.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteYou and your father share the same smile. Thank you for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I remember Flipper :) The memes are good reading, the Just for Laughs was an odd one but entertaining, Linda.
ReplyDeleteYou photos, the selfies are very nice indeed and it's pleasing to see you, well done. Your dad looks a nice man too.
Wonderful to see you 💚 Tu eres muy linda.
ReplyDeleteGood quotes, ver good. Patience helps so much in life.
The trick is to know when and how much 🐱🐈😽
Really lovely pictures and thoughts. Have a lovely day ☺️
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, how lovely to see you. I can tell you are a kind and sensitive person ♥ We will always miss the ones we love. I carry a picture of my mother in my purse. Have a beautiful day, hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood and beautiful day
ReplyDeletein all harmony Linda
and to the wisdom of those who have departed, too.
Beijinhos ´,~`)
All the quotes about patience are mind-blowing. Sometimes it's hard to be patient...
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful!
Saludos.
I'm so sorry about your father and I can understand how much you miss him. I'm waving to you, and that's a lovely photo of you, and it looks like you had a great breakfast.
ReplyDeleteYou're sharing such insightful words and videos again, thank you!
Have a wonderful time! hugs Elke
My father died at 76 of heart congestion, and he only began to get many grey hair at 70. I also miss my father!
ReplyDelete"Expectations are resentments waiting to happen" caught me ny surprise! I had never thought of expectations this way!
Patience is something life does teach us!
Have a nice weekend!
Thanks for reminding me about Flipper. I loved the show as a child.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteLovely selfies, it is nice to see you! Patience and peace are both good words. Great quotes! Take care, have a great day!
How lovely to see your face. I have truckloads of patience.
ReplyDeleteGood selfies Linda, great to see you :-D And love these quotes :-D
ReplyDeleteBom dia minha querida amiga Linda.
ReplyDeletePatience is something will all need. Great post and videos. Nice selfies.
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos of you and your dad. My hair turned gray in my 40's. Probably from not having enough patience!
ReplyDeleteI love the "if we learn to enjoy waiting, we won't need to wait to enjoy" - all of these are good! Flipper! Oh, I haven't heard that theme song for a long time. Miss good ol' T.V. shows.
ReplyDeletePatience is something i don't always have a lot of. I think the photos of you are very nice. I'm glad you shared them.
ReplyDeleteNice photo of your dad.
Dear Linda, today I definitely stay with this one: “Being a good person does not depend on your religion, status in life, skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how you treat others.”
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of a verse from the Gospel of Matthew that expresses that same idea: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”
I also see that you have shared several quotes about patience, and they are very good. We all need patience. It helps to calm things down, to put our uncertainties a little in order, and not to make worse what is already difficult enough. It does not always solve everything, but many times it prevents things from becoming even more unsettled.
And you look wonderful in the photo.
A hug.
Hola, Linda. Besos
ReplyDeleteThanks to your post my words today shall be "peace" and "patience".
ReplyDeleteLinda wonderful reminders regarding the "fruit of the spirit...patience..." I certainly needed these wonderful quotes. Adored the video regarding the wild dolphin and how he knew someone could help him. Such a blessing to see your face friend. Now when I come visit I will be able to picture you. Take care and have a great day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLinda, it is nice to "see" you! You are absolutely adorable :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photos. I really enjoy seeing the people I communicate with. Putting a face to the words makes it more personal. I have always been patient with animals. People, not so much.
ReplyDeleteLD.....A lot of patience is good. I liked the reminding quotes from so many. Appreciated all that your shared. I do love cats but don't have any, anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful breakfast! And I loved seeing you and having a "visual" of the writer and organizer of these posts. Your father looked like a good man with a lovely smile.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite today is this one..."Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worse moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come." by Robert H. Schuller.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture of you, Linda. And your father looks so young for 64 in that photo.
Preciso constantemente exercitar a minha paciência. Há um tempo certo pra cada coisa.
ReplyDeleteBelas fotos.
Prazer conhecê-la por imagem.
Hello my dear Linda. I'm really sorry about your lovely father. Keep his memory to be alive for ever near you. You look great, my dear! Keep your smile and your heart's light.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Spring will come. EVERYTIME.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I have little patience; things always have to be quick for me ! My father was a macho, our relationship was not so good.
ReplyDeletePatience, dear friend Linda... I work on that...Silence I can, though.
ReplyDeleteI am with you. I hate my photo getting taken! And share some anyways... hihi, hello there!
My Dad died at age 65 of cancer. My Brother and I were with him in his last weeks - isn´t life just unfair?!
To Max. Much love and warm hugs on the way... it was a sunny (if cool) day here.
Dear Linda, your friend is absolutely right. You look very nice in both your photos. Thank you for sharing them with us. You must treasure this photo of your father very much as it was his last known photo. Please take good care 🙏 💕
ReplyDeleteNever cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worse moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come. - Robert H. Schuller
ReplyDeleteThe above is my favorite today. Thank you.
I am so happy you shared YOU! I love your smile.

ReplyDeleteAnd a good gag!
Lie(f)s.
Lovely to see you 😻😻 what a beautiful post too. Always so wonderful visiting your blog.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Linda rise and shine and give God the glory glory. You look graceful and lovely. I always believe that it is the inner beauty that counts, as long as you have a good and kind heart. I love salmon too, it is expensive fish, but it does have omega three which is good for your heart health. May God bless your day ahead. Sending love all the way to Canada to you. I had been to the capital Vancouver and Mount whistler before and I saw shop theft at Vancouver lol.
ReplyDeleteI love "Always say "my peace is more important? when you find yourself reacting to something that doesn't deserve your energy. - Idi Ahmed" One I am working on lol and patience yes so important. Love to see your photo Linda and the photo of your dad.
ReplyDeleteSame as you, I was closer to my Dad too and he died of heart attack, luckily his stay in the hospital was a short one that at least he did not suffer too long.
ReplyDeletePatience I think is something we can all have more of. :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a picture of you. :)
Good to see you in those selfies!!

ReplyDeleteHi Linda. Thanks for the nice post.Yes Patience is Power. Nice photos of you and your Dad. I'm sorry that you lost him so young. Both my parents are gone. They were both born in 1909. Happy Spring xo Thelma.
ReplyDeleteYour reflections on patience feel especially grounding today. I like how you gathered so many perspectives, each one touching a different facet of what it means to slow down, breathe, and respond with intention. Your photos add such a warm, personal note to the post, and seeing your father’s picture alongside your own makes the whole entry feel deeply human. His gentle expression explains so much about the kindness you share here.
ReplyDeletePatience is so important but often hard to develop. Thanks for the inspirational quotes. Love them all.
ReplyDeletePatience if power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is 'timing'. It waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way. - Fulton J. Sheen
ReplyDeleteI wish my daughter could learn patience more.
I loved seeing (?) a photo of you! And your dad.
I am pretty patient in most areas but if I can't understand something that is when I loose it :(
ReplyDeleteThose are great pictures of you, nice to see what you look like :) I am not a big breakfast out eater, although I do go out with the girls once a month, if the weather is descent :) Hope you are enjoying a nice weekend!
Your photo is lovely! You are a lovely person, Linda.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, peaceful post! Thank you for sharing and for the touching memory of your father🩵

Very nice your photos, and great quotes too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Greetings
Dear Linda,
ReplyDeleteI truly love your photos, especially the one taken in the mirror. You come across as such a warm, joyful, and kind person. You and your dad are very similar; besides that, you both have the same facial expression.
What you wrote about him was really beautiful and touching. His sincere smile in the photo says so much — it’s clear he was a truly wonderful person.
Oi, Linda! Beijos! (●ˇ∀ˇ●)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, today finally got the time to go through each and every quote and illustration you shared on top. I like the theme today, patience and character. It is Sunday weekend mid afternoon 4pm in Singapore now. Guess you are in Lala land over at Canada.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope that today will be my peaceful day!
ReplyDeleteThe quote by Fulton Sheen is sooo true! Patience is a willing choice to wait for the right time to act, the right way to act, and the right principles. Put that way, it should appeal to more people who struggle with the word, “Patience.”
ReplyDeleteThanks for including the quote by Rick Warren. He is one of my favorite pastors that I follow, a pastor of great wisdom who has helped me greatly.
Your father was a very handsome man. You inherited his good looks!
Hallo Linda,
I have to admit that I'm not always patient enough, I'm trying to fix that, but I'm getting old and I don't have the patience for many things anymore.
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde, minha querida amiga Linda.
ReplyDeleteHello, Linda! I am finally getting around to reading more posts from this past week, and I am so happy you let me know about this one in particular. I LOVE seeing the "selfie" of you, and also the very dear picture of your father. I know we most likely will never be able to meet in person, (unless you want to come to Florida to excape winter sometime!), so it is really nice to actually see you 'face to face' here. I enjoy your posts so much...they show that you put a lot of extra effort into finding just the right pictures/quotes to go with your theme, and they are always so encouraging. I especially love the cat pictures, now that I have become a 'cat mom". LOL. I am learing so much about cats now, things I never knew before, and it is very enlightening! Thank you again for writing and sharing more about yourself. I hope you are feeling better also. have a blessed rest of your weekend and a new week beginning tomorrow. Happy Springtime!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely picture of you Linda! SO nice to see your face. It always makes these long distance conversations and emails so much more personal! Happy Spring my friend!!
Besos.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely putting today’s energy into staying calm and thoughtful...
ReplyDeletesince i happen to revisit this entry, i choose this quote : Two things define you: your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything. take care dear linda!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see you, Linda. Your friend was right; you do look good. :) Patience is a virtue, isn't it? Thank you for sharing the photo of your father; he was a handsome man. My father died when I was 7; he was in his early 50s.
ReplyDelete
