The following photos are my own, which I took with my cellphone here in Montreal on March 12th, the day after we got freezing rain! This first photo shows part of a sidewalk that is caked in ice. You can click on any image to see a larger view.

These last two photos show trees and bushes buckling under the weight of the ice! You can see the branches buckling under the pressure.

  2. Hey Linda! Here's to a kickbutt strong week ahead for us all. Love the shots and burrrrr on the freezing. That's how was here yesterday and today, windows open. Friday, it felt like a tornado day (we had one touch down 7 miles from my house awhile back and now we're headed into tornado season again). Today windows open and lots of wind. Tomorrow? Who knows? Anyone's guess.

  10. morning greetings from kuala lumpur! muslims in malaysia and around the world are waiting to celebrate our annual festival (eidul fitri) this coming weekend, so I'll be travelling back to my hometown on wednesday evening to gather with my big family and to visit my mom. The journey usually takes around 7 hours drive by car, if it is not so heavy traffic. Anyway, for today's pick-- i choose this quote : Do today what must be done. Your tomorrow may never come...indeed!! anyway, i love to see your pictures of snow especially those icy branches! it looks freezing but still a view which is unique for those living in tropical countries like me :) till then, take care dear linda! have a lovely day!
