ReplyDeleteHey Linda! Here's to a kickbutt strong week ahead for us all. Love the shots and burrrrr on the freezing. That's how was here yesterday and today, windows open. Friday, it felt like a tornado day (we had one touch down 7 miles from my house awhile back and now we're headed into tornado season again). Today windows open and lots of wind. Tomorrow? Who knows? Anyone's guess.
ReplyDeletePS: And it was the loudest train I ever did hear. The tornado. Anyway, hope it warms up there soon. Have a kick-butt goooood week.
ReplyDeleteI like the comment about hugging as a powerful medicine .
ReplyDeleteI should hug more .
...once again Linda, you have assembled some wonderful words. May you be warm, well and happy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection of thoughts today. The quote about cats made me smile🙂
ReplyDeleteVisiting your blog is like entering a soothing stream of clear waters.
ReplyDeleteJust for laughs was ridiculous but very funny.
ReplyDeleteThe snow must be disappearing by now.
Oh, I have fond memories of watching Welcome Back Kotter back in the 1970s! Good times! You sure did get an ice storm, didn't you?! I hope it is all gone by now and didn't cause any damage.
ReplyDeleteBuen consejo. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeletemorning greetings from kuala lumpur! muslims in malaysia and around the world are waiting to celebrate our annual festival (eidul fitri) this coming weekend, so I'll be travelling back to my hometown on wednesday evening to gather with my big family and to visit my mom. The journey usually takes around 7 hours drive by car, if it is not so heavy traffic. Anyway, for today's pick-- i choose this quote : Do today what must be done. Your tomorrow may never come...indeed!! anyway, i love to see your pictures of snow especially those icy branches! it looks freezing but still a view which is unique for those living in tropical countries like me :) till then, take care dear linda! have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely post, a great collection of thoughts.
Goodness, it has been snowy and icy in Montreal hasn't it.
Take care when you are out and about.
My good wishes for the coming new week.
All the best Jan
Great post as always! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat posts this week. Yes, what we do to others matter. The sheep video, oh my, the faces of the ladies.
ReplyDeleteYou attempt to bring glimmers of light through your posts.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so positive and make others feel positive too. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhen you've spent your whole life listening to others, it takes courage to pay attention to the sound of your own voice.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS!
Thank you for all of these. I love that BJ Thomas song.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! what a beautiful collection of thoughts. I especially love the idea of "glimmers," those little flashes of joy that sometimes go unnoticed amidst the daily grind. In the end, selfesteem is also built with small acts of kindness toward ourselves, with the ability to recognize our own worth, and with the sensitivity to see beauty even on the coldest days. Thank you for sharing these luminous reflections. Kisses
ReplyDeleteSo inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes a small reminder like this can brighten the whole day....
ReplyDeleteLovely quotes, Linda. The ice looks very heavy. I feel sorry for the trees.
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer in hugs! ❤️
ReplyDeleteSo true about self management! Thanks, Linda.
ReplyDeleteMany words to live by 💚
ReplyDelete"When you know your worth, no one can make you feel worthless."
Selfesteem really is the key ☘️
I am struggling with low self-esteem. Reading all quotes really made my day. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the branches are bowed down and almost look like some kind of art.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad winter weather is over where I am. Freezing rain is awful. Take good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your effort in sharing these great quotes and all the funny videos; they really cheer me up!
Have a good week! hugs Elke
"Your journey won't always be joyful, but it will always be worthwhile. Every moment you decide to stop, breathe, believe, paints a new color in your sky."
ReplyDeleteThis quote is very meaningful.
Have a good week Linda :)
Nice memes and Just for laughs is good.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how the branches in your photo bend with such weight.
Take care, Linda.
An uplifting start to my week. Xx
ReplyDeleteI don't want to go to heaven. I want to go where my cats are (which for some reason I always imagine to be like the place the rabbits went in the "Watership Down" movie).
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda

ReplyDeleteUn cordial saludo.
What beautiful sayings and photos, dear Linda.
ReplyDeleteThis saying fits me perfectly, and I apply it too.
Spend your time only on those who appreciate your time and who appreciate you.
I wish you a wonderful week.
All the best, Irma
Have a wonderful and beautiful week filled with harmony, and may everything go well, even in our way of being. Beijinhos ´,~`)
ReplyDeleteHugging is the best medicine!
ReplyDeleteI have been living anxious times, but this too shall pass!
Oh my, you still have snow and ice… here we already have some sunny days!
Aw, the fish is so cute and really likes the diver!
Olive is such a smart rat, but I personally would never have a rat for a pet!
Have an awesome week!
Here some of my favorites I LOVE this post!

The icy weather does'nt look so nice - I want to say terrible $§$§$§$§
Oh Linda, it still looks very much like you're in the deepest winter. So much ice! It took me a while to appreciate my "self". Now I'm comfortable being who I am. Aww the little rat. They are so clever! Have a beautiful week ahead☺
ReplyDeleteGood photos Linda. Love the Stephen Fry quote and "Some stranger somewhere still remembers you because you were kind to them when no one else was." SOOOO true! I remember things people have done and said from years ago :-D Have a good week Linda :-D
ReplyDeleteThose are all great.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here anymore and I hope we are done with it
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
Beautiful post Linda-I appreciate all the time you put into your posts-Winter returned last night with the temps crashing with the strong winds-not spring yet-Have an awesome new week
ReplyDeleteStill cold where you live! Here it's getting Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gag!
So kind of you, dear Linda, to think of me!
Lie(f)s.
Sagge e belle immagini e citazioni.
ReplyDeleteFelice settimana, un abbraccio

Hello Linda,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your images and the wise quotes.
The ice storms are scary, so much damage.
Take care, enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!
„Nie troszczcie się więc o jutro, bo jutro samo o siebie troszczyć się będzie. Każdy dzień ma dość własnych trosk”.
ReplyDeleteCats are simply the best! I love the stranger quote, kindness goes so far and wide!!
ReplyDeleteTakové projevy zimy na fotografiích opravdu nesnáším, mrznoucí déšť a neschůdné chodníky mám z celé zimy nejméně ráda. Přináší to pak spoustu úrazů i dopravních nehod.
Přeji příjemný nový týden, Lindo. ☺
Thanks for a nice collection. Now I'll be humming the theme to Welcome Back Kotter all day :-)
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
As usual great post and videos.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate ice rain with passion and gives me such creeps!
ReplyDeleteSuch massive difference between Montreal and Central Europe, here we have 24C in the sun, all the flowers are blooming, I filled my palace with daffodils, but we do have a cold front coming in tonight and it should drop to 12C during this week with rain.
Thank you, Linda, for all the gorgeous "glimmers" you've sent our way today! I do hope that ice didn't stick around too long; it can be so dangerous. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThese do bring a glimmer of light to my day.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I'm not a cat person, and I better be nicer to the cats. ; ) I've had dogs all my life, so many different breeds. The "stranger" quote is beautiful. Your icy photos are pretty, and I never get tired of seeing snow pictures. And my favorite quote on here was....."Life grows lovely where you are." Have a wonderful March week, Linda. Thank you for all the light you shine on your blog friends. : )
ReplyDeleteIncredible post. I hope we don't get the same kind of weather here as there.
ReplyDeleteNo such thing as time management -- just self management. That's a good one. Thank you for sharing, sweet Linda :)
ReplyDeleteGood evening, dear Linda. My best wishes, my friend for the new week.
ReplyDelete"When you know your worth, no one can make you feel worthless." True. So I am learning to know my worth. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, today I’m going with the one about hugs. I remember reading some time ago in a study that for a hug to have that comforting and healing effect, it needs to last at least eight seconds. So today I’m sending you one of those. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful collection of quotes and images. Thank you, Linda.
ReplyDeleteLove the fishie video:) Inspirational memes, as always. Have a grand one.
ReplyDeleteI love cats, Linda. Have a lovely new week.
ReplyDeleteReally wonderful post. The tree laden with ice are great shots.
ReplyDeleteI'm rather enjoying your pictures of the cold. Ah, cold. I know it's terrible for me to weather complain, but I'm going to whine because it's supposed to be in the 90s F this week (30s C), and I'd like some cool weather, please.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, Thank you for the prayers. The snow has stopped, but we still have high winds. We received 15 inches of snow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the quotes today, I appreciated them.
Carla
Hello, Linda! So, many good quotes today!!! I needed to read a lot of them. :)
ReplyDeleteAs is true EVERY TIME I access your blog, I am comforted, lifted up, and encouraged. Thanks so much! BTW, regarding "Welcome Back Kotter", John Travolta lives here in my town, in Ocala, Florida! He owns 2 or 3 airplanes (jets, actually) and has a tarmac in his front yard where he keeps the largest one, a jet liner, 737 or something like that.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely dose of positivity 🐾🐾
ReplyDeleteOooh, icy sidewalks and trees are scary! Snow is preferable. I've always tried to be kind and because of that, I have many great relationships in my life, including former students who now invite me for coffee dates. :) I love the idea of glimmers; it's what I look for, those small moments of light and joy.
ReplyDeleteI would rather have snow over freezing rain because the ice makes the roads / sidewalks treacherous and they can also cause power outages.
ReplyDeleteMore thought-provoking goodies...thank you!
Thanks for all the self-esteem wisdom. I love the glimmers idea. Enjoy your week, Linda! 🌺❤️
ReplyDeleteWonderful quotes.
ReplyDeleteIce on the trees looks pretty but can do so much damage!
Great pictures of the ice on the road and trees. Probably not so great to be walking around on though. It must have been very slippery out.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a kind soul. I appreciate these words of wisdom; I'm trying to make a large improvement in my life that is long overdue. ~nods~ I like your photographs but it's always sad to see vegetation breaking under a coating of ice. Be well, my dear!
ReplyDeleteHi Darla, thank you so much for your kind words. 😇 Yes, I was very sad to see the trees 🌳 😢 in that condition. I took the photos to show the effects of the freezing rain. Some of my fellow bloggers have never seen snow or conditions like this.
DeleteI am not too sure how I look at myself or how other's see me. I am trying to stay positive in a very negative environment.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
ReplyDeleteThat song by BJ is one of his best!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for the 3 photos. The freezing rain caused everything to be covered with ice, must be so cold and slippery.
ReplyDeleteThe icicles on the branches of the trees look nice but poor trees feeling the weight of the icicles. 🥶 Is Spring 🌱 Montreal now? Flowers sprouting everywhere?
Querida Linda,
Stephen Fry nails it.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful sayings and pictures. By the looks of it, it is still winter where you are. Here, spring is arriving, and then the warm colors will return.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Greetings from F&J
The stranger-quote is like true... and very sad.
ReplyDeleteOh! I had to learn hugging! Believe it, it was crazy, dear friend Linda. When I visited my parents my Mom gave me a hug. Dad stretched out his hand as if I was a business partner. I take after my Dad...
But friends just... you know... hug me. Some even kiss! (on the cheek).
I´ll try for glimmers! And self-esteem!
Ick to the frozen rain!!! Before Perth I stumbled into that myself, weeee... not funny! But kinda beautiful to see (from afar).
The sheep. Oh. I hope this isn´t what I saw in Sydney.. but the fish is really cute! We should never underestimate other creatures - we´re but one, too, right.
Reincarnation... who knows?
Cute Olive! I had a mouse - she lived up to nearly 3 years (or was it even 3 1/2?) and was so clever, too. I still miss her.
Sending you warm hugs and much love.
It is so true, tomorrow may never come.
ReplyDeleteYou always share great thoughts!
ReplyDeleteBom dia minha querida amiga Linda.
ReplyDeleteOur journey won't always be bright.... Ain't that the truth. Then again, tough times make strong people. We need some contrast to appreciate our good days, right? Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteBlue
Hi Linda!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the quotes and pictures you share! They’re like a mini therapy session and always help me focus on the positive. Thanks for taking the time to find such inspiring sayings.
I hope the weather has improved in Montreal.
Have a lovely day!
So many meaningful reminders to be kinder to ourselves and notice the “glimmers” in everyday life.
A neve é pesada!!!
Adorei tudo querida!!
Desejo uma semana encantadora!! ;))))
Happy St Patricks Day, we are in RSA at present seeing lots of wildlife. Take care Diane

ReplyDeleteSuch a treasure of good mood. I enjoyed reading very much. Thank you for sharing and for your nice comment too.
ReplyDeleteGreetings by Heidrun ❤️
I have a lot to learn about self esteem. I've been very hard on myself recently.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteVery nice to read the funny sayings.
And what a nice movie with that fish. So cute!!
Many greetings,
Marco
Such a thoughtful and encouraging post. I really like how you highlight the importance of how we see ourselves- It truly shapes everything in our lives. A great reminder to be kinder to ourselves.
ReplyDeleteKisses
The story about the diver and the fish is incredible. There's so much we don't know about other creatures....❤️🌞
ReplyDeleteThat rat is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI think most of us need reminders like this -- I know I certainlly do, so thank you. Boy, your ice is beautiful and so dangerous. I hope by now it has gone!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really love it :)
ReplyDeleteYour encouragement posts are always so reliable :)
ReplyDeleteThat Roy Bennett quote is excellent!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you posted this. I was just thinking and reading about my impostor syndrome earlier!
ReplyDeleteMinha amiga Linda,
I love your Blog, Linda ~~ it makes me feel happy!!
ReplyDeleteSo many great quotes as always...Thanks for sharing!! Thanks too for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
Debbie-Dabble Blog
A wonderful selection of inspiring quotes, Linda. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletethe trees covered in ice look both beautiful and a bit scary at the same time! did it take long for everything to melt?
ReplyDeleteLinda, I took a long look at your photo and it must be unbelievably cold! I cannot imagine freezing rain! I shuddered looking at the ice covered tree branches. It is the direct opposite here in Malaysia where it is now unbearably hot. I was drenched in sweat after delivering lunch to my mum today. I hope you are staying warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteThe freezing rain that came through here, I took one photo. And t was a weird one.
ReplyDeleteLove your post, as always! So meaningful! ♥️
Such a good thing to be kind to others because then maybe they will pass it on to others :)
ReplyDeleteWow you are brave, when we have ice I stay inside, too afraid of falling.
You keep reminding me of things I have forgotten, I remember watching welcome back Kotter :)
Such wonderful quotes and memes. Tiny Buddha is very wise. Our snow has finally melted but it is still very cold.
Oh that glimmer quote is a good one. I'm going to start focusing on those moments!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all these inspirational quotes, Linda. I enjoy reading them.
ReplyDeleteI've just learned about glimmers. I want to learn more about them.
ReplyDeleteLovely quotes as always, especially the last one
Abrazos.
ReplyDeleteSuch a thoughtful mix of wisdom and warmth. The idea of glimmers really stands out to me — those tiny, easily missed moments that quietly shift the whole tone of a day. Your photos capture the same feeling in a different way, showing how even harsh weather can hold a kind of fragile beauty. This post feels like a gentle reminder to slow down, notice what lifts us up, and treat ourselves with the same kindness you share here so generously.
ReplyDelete
